Well, after all these years of thinking this place is more for the opposite sex, I got an offer from my daughter to take an hour Warm Raja Deep Stretch Yoga class with her at Ellen's. Since I have been on a workout regiment in another gym, I realized how tight my muscles and ligaments have become and ironically my trainer recommended I take Yoga once a week anyways. I have never done any Yoga before of any kind but I will try anything and with the help of Christine, our Yoga instructor, pushing my position a step further than I thought I could accomplish, it made me realize my body can do just a little more than I thought, no different than my weight training experience I regularly do three times a week. Once she got us into position, she talked us through a relaxing hold on our stretches by talking us through it and directing our breathing. It made my first time a GREAT experience, because in the end, my body naturally feels a little more flexible and I feel a "good" kind of tired and relaxed. I did not realize Ellen's Ultimate Workout offered so much. What a large Spinning room with rows of spinning bikes, definitely much more high tech and advanced than what I have been used to. They do hour classes 2-3 times a day during the week, 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday, per the current schedule. The "Ultimate" workout area is very impressive where they do light and heavy "boot camp" style workouts. It is an amazing room, with cardio and weight machines that they use to maximize these workouts for those who want to do extreme conditioning. Ellen's offers quite a number of Pilate classes , in a separate Pilates room. They offer 5-9 classes a day, and 3-4 classes on Fridays-Sunday. They also offer Ballet Bar and even have a fitness program for baby's and toddlers. Although you can walk in or make a reservation for the classes, it is better to purchase the Packages where you pay in advance for 5, 10 or 20 classes and use them anytime you want to for Cycle, Yoga, Ultimate, and other "Studio Package" classes including Ballet Barre. The more classes you purchase in advance, the less it costs per class. There is a separate pricing structure for Pilates classes or Pilate 1 on 1 classes as well. Looks to me like Ellen has covered EVERYTHING here, and the instructors are very professional. How do I know this? Because my daughter and my wife have been going here for 12 years. It definitely made me feel better as I walked up to Ellen's that I saw men waiting outside or just finishing classes. I will definitely be back Saturday mornings for the Stretch Yoga because it helped me, and now thinking about trying their spinning classes on my off weight training days. Thank you Christine for giving me special attention for my first Yoga experience. Was not easy to get these legs and arms stretched out, but the class definitely worked.

I love this place ! You have different kind of work outs to do and they all are amazing ! (Pilates, spinning, yoga , hot yoga, ballet barre and more ) I love love all Casey's classes she will push in every class and she is super nice too :):) Marylin hot yoga classes are awesome same as Jen ballet barre and Bae ultimate and Pilates classes. Their new yoga instructor Zita is very nice . I tried one of her classes last week and I liked it !

I joined Ellen's in April with the Weight Loss Challenge held by Bea. My 1st month I lost 10 lbs, My 2nd month I lost 4 pant sizes. I couldn't believe it! Every instructor is great and looks out for you. They want you to do your best, they care about you and want you to see results. I have done things I thought I couldn't do. I have been pushed by the best for my best to do my best. I love coming to Ellen's. Stop driving by and come on in. You will love it!!

This review is specifically for the Ms. Sue Mommy & Me classes. I cannot rave enough about Ms. Sue's classes. I stumbled across Ms. Sue's incredible M&M classes over the summer when some of my mommy friends invited me to join them for a series of free music sessions for LO's. Being free, this class was PACKED, but it did not take away from the realization that these were the best M&M classes that I had ever been to. Ms. Sue was so warm and welcoming. The class that I attended was meant for younger babies, but since half of the class was comprised of my Mommy friends and my cousin, I decided to stay until the summer was over. Even though the class was intended for younger ones, my LO still loved every minute of it especially the egg shakers. At the end of the summer, Ms. Sue let me know that she would be at EUW during the year. After settling into the new school year, I looked up Ms. Sue and signed up! Ms. Sue offers some weekdays and Saturday morning, so if you are a mamma looking for something to do with your LO 3 -12 mo. during the day, this is definitely the place to go. Ms. Sue is absolutely amazing and has been in early education for over a decade. There are many different manipulatives that Ms. Sue incorporates in each of her sessions that keep young ones engaged every week - with just enough repetition that they feel a sense of routine. One added benefit of being in a fitness location is that there are trampolines for the LO's to jump on as well as various sizes exercise balls for them to safely practice kicking, throwing, or just playing around. There is enough free time and circle time that keeps you and the LO moving the entire time. It isn't just that Ms. Sue is so fantastic, but the parents that follow Ms. Sue are such great people, friendly, nice and welcoming, that it makes the sessions enjoyable not just for baby, but for the adults as well. Yes, of course when going to Mommy and Me it is about engaging your child in stimulating activities and socialization - but all of that can be very taxing if you go to sessions where the adults that go aren't friendly. Sure your kid leaves happy, but you don't. And I have done that over and over trying out different places, and definitely these parents are the nicest that I have ever met, and so are their children. So it makes the entire experience enjoyable and makes me look forward to going each week. Thanks Ms. Sue!!

They have encouraging quotes all throughout the facility This one is in the ladies restroom. How cool is that?

I love Ellen's. In general it is a fitness studio with several different work out rooms. One room is for spinning, another for pilates, another one for the ultimate fitness, and another room for yoga and misc classes. You can reserve their classes on line at their website http://www.ellensultimateworkout.com/ or you can use the mindbody app which is my preferred choice. First the spinning room has bikes stacked pretty close to each other, so they are definitely maximizing space. I like the fact that there are hooks on the back of the wall so that you can hang your bag. The bikes are all genuine Johnny G spinning bikes with a tachometer on them. The spinning room has a strobe light and other lighing which will give you a great vibe when the music is on point. In addition, it has a screen if you would like to show video to go with the music. Well, let's say all instructors are not alike as anywhere. Some are good, some need improvement, but my favorite is Susan Andreoni. Her class is just fun. She is superb at providing instruction, reminding you of where your goal is and motivating to step it up for 30 seconds or one minute. More so, her class is just fun! She varies the music for all types and you will almost feel like you are at a party- but no - it's workout!! I honestly look forward to her class- I feel so pumped when I am done and have had the best workout. Susan A I would give 5 stars, but the bikes are so close together and some of the other instructors have room for improvement ( although I know to each their own)...so I will give 3.5 stars here. I have not taken a pilates class yet here but I will soon and will share more when I do. However, the room is full of pilates equipment and as you can see, the reviews on it are great. Then you have the ultimate room. This room has lots of treadmills, rowers, weights, benches, balls, etc. Get the picture? Ellen's was doing Orange Theory before it was Orange Theory. This is what they do, mix up cardio and strength training for 60 minutes and push you to the core with great coaching! You will definitely push yourself with the motiviating coach to where you can while everyone is on different levels. I have taken several classes here with Vinny and he is good at explaining and continuing to try to push yourself. I also like the fact that he high fives everyone and celebrates their effort when they leave. 5 stars Next you have the yoga room. They have heated yoga and vinyasa. So vinyasa is a flow with many poses and in one particular class the instructor changes poses so fast you can't keep up. Now while one can say maybe it is just me, but I have been in her class a few times and when I look around the room, if two people are following it is amazing. So I think she needs to pay attention more to her audience and their form. The classes are overall good, but I can't say that I have had one that is amazing yet. Actually I did have one instructor that was on point, but the class went over 15 minutes past schedule so it lost points for me as I had something to do after, and I hate feeling rude and walking out! So the instructors while passionate about their practice, should be conscious of people's time. 2.5 stars Last but not least, my favorite yet most painful class is Ballet Barre with Jen Mirk. Jen teaches several classes and they are all packed. She is really amazing. Motivating encouraging, pushes you to a hilt. Her instruction is stellar she will be sure to correct form and push you to limits you didn't know. I have a whole new respect for ballerina. I come out of that class as sweaty as hot yoga! She definitely earns 5 stars for her classes and she starts and ends on time! She wants you to get your money's worth ;-) Now Ellen's is not cheap, but you have class variety ( many more which I did not review) with mostly top notch instructors who really coach and guide you as would a trainer. Membership starts at $99 for 8 classes or you can pay per class or buy packages. Honestly, for the variety and the instructors which are great- the bang for the buck is pretty great. I would highly recommend them!!! I pay for Ellen's on top of my gym membership because usually classes at the gym are just blah...meh...so you get what you pay for. First class is always free, so I would encourage you to give them a try!!! Overall, the facility is kept very clean. The location is in Davie right off of University slightly South of Griffin. I drive all the way from Sunrise as I love their facility and instructors that much. I just hop on the turnpike to Griffin and head West on over there! I will work to add more photo's to my review soon too :-)

When you walk into the gym, everyone is hard at work, and it's such a motivating environment. I decided to come here after debating whether or not I wanted to compete in a Bikini competition and finally deciding to take the leap. After working out on my own for so many years, I decided it was time to really challenge myself and accomplish this goal. My trainer Christine was amazing in accommodating my schedule, and even competes herself! Loleta also provides meal and plans which are proven to work. What I love the most is the safe environment this gym provides. Being a young woman, it can be intimidating going to a gym by yourself at first, but everyone here treats you like family. As an older member, her disclosure also caused me to feel singled out and scrutinized during my workouts. In a separate incident, the owner also resorted to Instagram after I was assisted by other members attempting to correct my form on an exercise I had just learned. She told her Instagram followers that I had a casual conversation with them, which she knew was not true because I had already explained to her what ACTUALLY happened. Nevertheless, she proceeded to ask her followers for "their thoughts", knowing exactly what those thoughts would be. This led to an attack on social media about my IQ and judgement. The owner's disclosure of my age without my consent, and her precipitating an attack on social media against me was extremely unprofessional.

I also really liked that they had garbage cans in EACH bathroom stall! This gym has really cool workout sections with specific machines to work out specific parts of your body. For example: Abs & Glutes (Boody Builder) section. A girls only section. VIP stretching room, and a Cardio section. When you first walk in there are really amniotic blue LED lights all around that really give the gym a nice vibe. There's an open concept where the machines aren't too congested and there is a VERY large blue carpet area in the center. The staff is really nice and the employees keep the gym fairly clean for a 24/7 gym. (I love those hours too) More pictures to come!

I do, however, hold numerous different gym memberships through my insurance plan as I travel frequently for work. That being said, when I am home, I am typically at amped in the mornings Monday through Friday. Occasionally in the evenings or on weekends. PROS: Very large gym with plenty of space and equipment. Even during the busy times, it's rare to have to wait for anything and it's usually not long if you do. In terms of equipment they have pretty much anything you can think of for any type of workout you want to do. This includes some really unique machines that I have not seen at other gyms. I enjoy that they have a sauna, even though it is most often closed in the mornings. The gyms 24 hour access is also nice. I don't have kids, however I noticed that the provided childcare service seems to get used by many members, which is a nice feature for them. CONS: compared to the other gyms I visit, this one is much dirtier and far more messy than most. There is a younger Jamaican man who works in the morning and he is the only one I have ever seen clean in the year that I've been a member here. I am usually there for 1 to 1.5 hours in the morning and I see him cleaning the entire time and putting everyone else's weights away. Aside from him, I have never seen another employee there cleaning. Most of the time it is 50/50 whether or not there will be cleaning wipes for the machine, or soap in the bathroom dispensers. and yes, this includes during the staff hours. Much of the staff spends more time socializing than anything else from my observations. I will note that most of the staff is very friendly, but there doesn't seem to be much work getting done. Although Amped has a no tripod policy, it is not enforced in any way what so ever. Not a huge deal in the mornings, but on occasion when I go in the afternoon, they are everywhere and it is incredibly annoying. For those of you that are tripod people, no one cares, no one is watching your "content". What's more frustrating than the tripods is that those same people are generally the ones who don't put their weights away. I have seven different gym memberships, and this location is by far the worst in terms of entitled patrons who don't put their weights back. It's very interesting to me that people who are at the gym too work on their fitness are too lazy to put their weights away and will sit in the parking lot and block traffic waiting for a closer parking spot to the entrance. But I digress. Summary: In my opinion, this gym could very easily go from good to great if employees and members alike were held accountable. But ultimately that is a product of poor management and lack of leadership. But you get what you pay for when you join a big box gym like AMPED. Although there is room for improvement, I do really enjoy this location, the equipment, and all that the facility has to offer. If a messy gym and tripods everywhere don't bother you, this is generally a good one stop shop for your fitness goals.

I was down in Florida in July 2025 for 2 1/2 weeks and wanted to try this place because it was new. So I bought a one month membership for myself and my wife and then asked to freeze the account until we come back down to Florida since we live in New Jersey. We did everything through a gentlemen named Mac who understood our situation that we wouldn't be coming back down until the next year. I got billed the next month accidentally and he refunded me and apologized. At that time I asked him to take my card off file. Fast forward to January and I've been getting billed the last 3 months after several phone calls with the owner and emails sent without a response. Today was the last straw as I called AGAIN to have my card removed and to be refunded. I mentioned that I'm going to have my bank reverse the charges and he started calling me a jack ass and saying why don't I come and say this to his face because he felt "threatened" and will sue me if I do it. I can't say enough awful things about the people here except for Mac who actually doesn't even work there anymore probably because he was nice. The fact that I asked several times for the card to be taken off file and it hasn't been is severely alarming. Anyone that is traveling and thinking about Joining beware. They told me something completely different than what the contract said. Stupid me for taking their word for it and not reviewing the contract. Not keeping your word says a lot about a business. My husband, while naturally active, had never worked out in a gym environment. Based on our medical needs and age--both of us in our 50s--Aaron recommended we train with Matthew Rossello. Matthew is an extraordinary trainer: highly knowledgeable, upbeat, energetic, and genuinely invested in our well-being and progress. Each session is unique, engaging, and tailored to our needs. On days when I feel unmotivated, knowing that Matthew will make the workout both enjoyable and rewarding is what gets me through the door. In just four months, both my husband and I have made progress we never imagined possible. Aaron also recommended Pia's indoor cycling classes, and she has been fantastic. Pia is incredibly entertaining, curates great music, and designs classes that are dynamic and motivating. Her sessions incorporate a variety of movements and speeds, and even include a brief meditation. I truly look forward to her classes--something I never expected to say about cycling! We have also come to enjoy yoga classes with Angela. She brings a calming, mindful approach that helps relax both body and mind, while offering stretches that leave us feeling renewed. The club overall is excellent. The facilities are comprehensive and consistently clean, and the food is outstanding. My only suggestions would be to address maintenance needs in the showers and consider enlarging the sauna--along with adding a more visible clock. Despite these minor points, our experience at Midtown has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to being members for many years to come.
