I have been attending Yoga classes at Yoga Connection for a few weeks now and I'm so happy I found this place. I have tried a few different instructors and I've taken their Hot Yoga, Sunrise Yoga, and Deep Yin classes. I have truly enjoyed all of them. Michelle is one of the instructors and she's truly the best, her energy is great and I love her positive reinforcement and her cues. I enjoy her class every time I take a class with her. I'm looking forward to taking more classes and trying more of their instructors. Also their pricing for unlimited classes is very reasonable in comparison to a lot of other yoga studios in the area. I took the deep yin yoga class taught by Theresa at the yoga connection on Tuesday night. The studio had a very heart centered energy. They offered me green tea with honey. The class was very peaceful and definitely great for beginners or anyone who just wants to stretch the body without straining themselves. All I could think about was how I wanted to bring my mother to this class! I know she would really enjoy it and be able to deepen her own practice starting slow. I had high hopes for Yoga Connection, but my experience was extremely disappointing due to unprofessional conduct and privacy concerns. My friends and I booked a class with the genuine intent of exploring the studio as potential members. As a local, I was eligible for a free first class. I arrived early, checked in without issue, and quietly set up in the studio. However, things took a turn when a staff member abruptly entered the class and, in front of everyone, told my friends they needed to pay and place a card on file. This could have been handled discreetly at the front desk, but instead, it was done in a way that was both embarrassing and unprofessional. It got worse when the owner, Brian, insisted over the phone that my friends send photos of their credit cards (front and back) via text message--a highly insecure and inappropriate request. When my friends asked if they could use a secure alternative payment method, Brian dismissed their concerns and condescendingly stated that customers often leave without paying. At no point did we refuse to pay--our only concern was the unsafe payment method being demanded. At that point, we realized this was not a business we wanted to support, so we quietly gathered our belongings and left. But it didn't end there--an associate later posted our full names online, along with false accusations. This is not only wildly unprofessional but also a potential violation of Florida privacy laws (Statute 540.08). I cannot recommend this studio to anyone who values professionalism, privacy, and respect. The way this was handled was unacceptable, and I hope others think twice before supporting this business. read more

I've been coming here about 3 times weekly for the last month and have no complaints! The studio is awesome because of their special floors that aren't hard wood so no knee pain. They offer both hot and regular yoga. All the teachers are nice and offer different styles. Super easy to book a class using the mind body app. The best part is that this studio is about 5 minutes away from me so it's super convenient. Im glad to have found this yoga studio. Unreal that they think this is the right course of action. Also, didn't need to waste your time letting me know not to come back, that was not necessary, I was definitely not planing on it. Not the studio for me. I have a home studio i've been going to for a year now, but decided to try YogaConnection's class since the first one is free. The entry space and waiting area is cute and a decent size, with lots of seating in case you're early to class. The bathroom was also a good size and had showers and open cube lockers. What I loved and thought was really great (and something my home studio doesn't have) is an area with feminine hygiene products like deodorant, hairspray, tampons(!!!!) and even a hair straightener! It must be extremely convenient if you're heading to work or ran out of something. Theres also a lot of shoe storage cubbies near the rooms. They have two rooms: one heated, one not. I didn't go into the non-heated room, but the heated room was interesting because the floor was a rubber type mat... which I thought was a little strange and unhygienic if people are sweating a lot. However, I did like that the room had two walls of floor to ceiling mirrors, so you can keep track of your form throughout. The class itself was also.....interesting. At first I couldn't tell if there was no music because the instructor couldn't figure it out, later I realized they just play an ambient song that plays on a loop for the hour. The flow wasn't much of a flow, it was poses in succession, if that makes sense. Good: held poses for a while, building strength. Not-so-Good: poses were very basic although it was an "all-levels" class, he didn't advertise time for choices, and he did not cue poses too much either. Also, his voice was far from relaxing, and he didnt have any motivational/empowering/emotionally strengthening words during the practice as I'm used to. One of the girls I met said she's been going there for five years and basically only comes to this instructors classes........ while this studio may be great for some (especially beginners!) My first class was wonderful. Lots of room to spread out and the room itself was not super hot. They have specials after your first class, 15% off packages. $3.00 Mat rental, bring a towel and cold water. The shower space and changing area not big but accommodating. No lockers, cubbies are plentiful. I didn't have to use my Yelp coupon because all first timers get a free class. I would have gladly paid because the instructor was a joy. Not P90X Yoga ( Nothing wrong with it) I searched for places on here and one review stood out. So I called and decided to get information. The gentlemen on the phone was very informative and advice which class I should take for beginners AND IT WAS FREE!!! DID I HEAR FREE..??? I arrived 15 mins early in the event paperwork had to be filled out. The front desk receptionist took my license showed me where the bathroom was at and told me to walk down the hall where class was going to take place. Immediately I felt like the ODD ball, everyone is flexing it making all these weird funny yet interesting twists and turns!!!! I find my spot in the back of the room like the new kid in class...lol I get settled and just wait for class to start. I notice the energy was calm I was taking it all in not really knowing what to expect. Then the Instructor. kindly approaches me and says "Hi So you're my Newbie!! Nice to meet you I'm ......(yea I forgot her name but not her cool tattoos) and I'll go over the basics and let me know if you have any questions. She brought me a block and made me feel so comfortable. Class starts and the instructors communication WAS AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!! I DID NOT FEEL LOST AT ALL, I FELT LIKE A PRO IN MY BUCKET OF SWEAT!!! The ending was the Cherry on my imaginary Sundae!!! The energy, the peace I felt was un explainable. Between the dimming of the lights and music I was in heaven, completely disconnected from suckkyy reality....yes reality can be sucky at times!!! I was in a ZONE I had NEVER experienced, I found Serenity peace, My heart felt HAPPY!!!! I first went to Yoga Connection for a Headstand/Crow Pose workshop with Jessica. I was so impressed with the studio that I decided to start taking my Saturday classes here. I've been doing so for about a month now and i'm still very impressed with this place. The space is quite big and nicely decorated. The owners are super down to earth and very nice and Jessica is my favorite yoga instructor of all of times. I usually do the hot vinyasa class and it never disappoints. Its hard enough to be challenging, but adaptable enough to not discourage you. The room is heated evenly which sometimes is not the case in other studios. The music is always very relaxing, but every now and then Jessica will surprise us with an upbeat popular song. I always walk out of class feeling rejuvenated and with a quiet mind. Its so awesome to be able to just sit in a room with people who are taking yoga seriously and see everyone struggle but succeed. I definitely recommend this studio to anyone who is already a fan of yoga or anyone looking to try it out. You wont be disappointed. read more

The owner is verbally abusive person and the crossed ethical practices by calling family members to inquire about personal information when membership was not part of a family account. Following my comment on yelp the following unfolded: "Vanya, You broke your contract with Yoga Connection which we have proof of that. Now that you are trying to drag Yoga Connection's name through the mud, we are going to be letting our entire staff and clientele know who you are, and what you are doing now in writing false reviews on Yelp about us. Yoga Connection is a highly respected business in South Florida and there are going to be a lot of upset people when they find out what you are doing. We suggest you take your review down before all those people find out about you. We take this very seriously and we think the public has a right to know. We are not making any threats, because we don't consider telling the truth anything but the truth." I replied that I had misunderstood the contract and owned my mistake at the time and also paid all dues at the time. I had filed a claim to my credit card because of charges I did not recognize as approved, they showed me the signed contract and despite disputes I paid all of them in full even thou I had not attended a single time during the disputed period.nevertheless that did not justify the harassment and evil spirit in which he conducted business with me. I also asked that he respects my will not to be solicited by him as I feel verbally abused and harassed. The below message followed: "If you decide not to remove the bogus review then I will also be forced to write a rebuttal on Yelp to your review and I will tell EVERYONE exactly what you did too. You broke your contract with us, the contract you signed twice, you lied about it, and then you were forced to reverse the charges, and we have the proof. The only one who is going to be embarrassed in all of this is you Vanya." Upon this last conversation he became my fan on yelp and started following me. Brian also contacted my father via an email . My father was never part of my contract with Yoga Connection , misinformed him of the circumstances and also failed to communicate his threats to me. Must give lots of love to Yoga Connection. This is my happy place. The place has such a down to earth vibe. No divas here. The instructors are all very warm, friendly, and helpful. The classes are not intimidating. They are appropriate for all levels. In the same class you can have newbies to veterans who are doing handstands and all types of inversions. Most participants , like me are somewhere in between. Some come several times a week and some saunter in once in a while. All are made to feel welcome. In class, the instructors always emphasize that it is not the end result or the pose that is important, but the process. They also stress that everyone go to their own pace or ability. All of the instructors are excellent and all unique in their own way. Shayna has more of a "lets play and have fun" attitude which is awesome. Jessica is a stickler for form but is so helpful with it. Samantha has great energy and encourages you to reach your full potential (she always picks great readings at the end). Bea, the "teacher's teacher" is all about body awareness and the total yoga experience. I have been to other classes and you can't go wrong with any of the teachers. I love the room. The ceiling is high with brown & tan tiles. There are also funky fixtures. It's like a big cavern.... nothing fancy, but you feel very isolated from the world. I don't like other studios where you can see the street or hear outside noise in the studio. So far I have only taken the Hot Yoga types of classes. The room is always heated evenly and to me it feels great. Another aspect that I like about the classes is the music. Most instructors do not play drippy, relaxing New Age music, which is common to many yoga classes. They play all types of music including rock, pop, jazz, etc. Of course you may get some new age stuff, especially at the end during the relaxation part. I also like that the lighting is usually somewhat dim and dark during relaxation. There are so many classes at convenient time at Yoga Connection. Each class is an hour and a half. Yes, 90 minutes!!!! This can be time consuming but you really do get your money's worth. You will work hard for the whole class. Sometimes you will use muscles you never knew you had. Then at the end, if you can truly let go, you will feel wonderfully relaxed. I always fall asleep and get up felling so peaceful. Classes can be bought in packages or you can buy memberships. The packages are very reasonable, with classes running about $12.50-$15 each depending on the amount you buy. Yoga Connection often has sales making those price even lower. They also have student discounts. Best of all, you can try your first class absolutely free. They don't give you a hard sell either. Everything is just so relaxed around there! So if you like yoga or have ever had any interest in yoga, this is the place to try it. read more

Love this place. Staff is nice, people are cool, great teachers. I recently graduated on my 200hr Yoga teacher and i like to keep my daily practice up. I was looking for Yoga studios close to my house and read about the Yoga Connection being one of the best studios in Broward, so i decided to give it a go and bought a package. I've come here for the free class and loved the experience! Even though the lady in charge of my class wasn't particularly friendly, she still encourages her students to hone their skills to the best of their ability and I love that. Not to forget that Hot Yoga in itself is awesome! I think the classes are about $18 per class which is quite expensive if you're starting out your career just like me but it's well worth coming here for the free class if you haven't before. The receptionist won't pressure you to take any type of membership too and I liked that a lot about this place since most gyms or fitness classes are like that. They have morning, afternoon and evening classes so if you're unable to go because of work or other reasons, there is always a class available to meet your schedule. I have lived less than a mile from this studio for over 3 years now and only now have I taken a class here. And I'm a yoga instructor. I am the rare yogi who loathes heated classes. BF on the other hand loves it. We compromise by alternating. The class we took at Yoga Connection was a 90 minute heated class on Thursday night-Michelle I believe was our instructor. The studio allows you to try a class comped to see how you like the place, which is awesome. If you are enthralled with them that night, apparently you get a discount off a membership to the studio. I was very impressed by this studio overall. Like I said, I am not a fan of heated classes overall-but I came out feeling better-albeit sticky. Michelle's teaching style wasn't too fast or too slow, allowed just enough modification to keep beginners and advanced yogis challenged. At the end of the class, there was one oddly placed segment of pilates/abs which seemed "forgotten" because it was after we were already relaxed and stretching. After lying supine in stretches for several minutes, I don't want to really go back to ab work. It seemed like a backwards motion of the class flow-which seemed off. Other than that the rest was awesome-kept me intrigued without boring me to death with warrior 1/2 sequences. And keeping variety can be difficult. I really liked that when we left the studio there was no sales pitch to try and get us to sign up for a membership that night-it was mentioned once as we signed the consent forms upon coming in, and never again. It's not in my budget or my schedule to have unlimited classes right now anyway, and I'm moving out of Davie soon regardless. I'll stop in for a few more drop in classes which are a great price alone, and they offer student discounts which is awesome due to the proximity to Nova, there are likely a ton of students coming here anyway. So I bravely ventured here as a newbie to the Yoga world, and was pleasantly surprised by what I found! I was invited to go with a friend, who might I add already had crazy plank/head/pretzel yoga moves already conquered as I had seen firsthand, so to say I was slightly intimated would be a fair understatement. I had done one Yoga class in college, but pretty sure the instructor was still training or just wasn't sure what they were doing at all....needless to say I walked out after 15 minutes. After that, I'd been skeptical of a couple of things in regards to yoga such as how yoga was really a real workout, it's actual benefits, and really began to think it was more about a hype/trend than exercise at all. Well, Yoga Connection has successfully shattered all these doubts, and here is why. To start off, the atmosphere is incredibly inviting. Very clean and nice, fresh tea, and a lovely smell. So far, not to scared. As a first time guest, my class was free, woo! The receptionist asked if it was my first time to yoga, and I said yes, so she called over the instructor, Shayna, and she spoke with me a little about the basics and the moves before I went in to the hot, yoga cave. I was thankful she gave me a heads up privately before we were in the class of about thirty people. We walked in to the room and it was hot, but not an unbearable heat, it was pleasant. Dimly lit, spacious, nicely decorated, high ceilings, and a huge mirror wall. After we all took our positions, we went in to a full ninety minutes of hot crazy yoga, and surprisingly I loved it! The whole experience was great. I love intense workouts, so I hate coming out of exercise not a sweaty mess, and this definitely didn't disappoint. Not only because of the heated room, but the stretches that your pushing your body to do, it's not easy let's put it that way. You're forced to use balance, concentration, endurance, and stability. All different aspects of exercise than what I'm used to with fast circuit training or other intense exercise, but found it's no hype, it definitely was equally important and beneficial for the body. It allowed me to use my body in another way, and I loved the stretch and how great my body felt after. I felt like a noodle, and all stretched and refreshed, and pleasantly sore the next morning! 29 MILLION ZILLION STARS I'm giving this AMAZING STUDIO ALONG WITH EVERYONE WHO IS BLESSED to work there. After being here 17 days from NYC and presently and unfortunately still in a family emergency here in Florida, I was here everyday for their HOT VINYSA Monday through Friday 9 am for 1.5 hours and Saturday and Sunday 830 for 1.5 hours and if it wasn't for this studio assisting me to continue my practice here and help me maintain MIDDLE GROUND .. I truly do not know how I would be at this precise moment .. when I return I know I have found a home where my heart can take a break from the harsh realities of this stressful world. Thank you Michelle for your hugs, your ears, your spirit and your amazing kindness and lastly and far more importantly YOUR HEART. Very nice studios, staff is professional. I left some clothing in the locker room and on my next visit not only was it in the lost and found but it was laundered and folded. They take yoga seriously and their instructors are top notch, particularly Alina. It's a little east for my regular practice but well worth the drive. read more

After moving back to Florida from LA this past January, it didn't take long before I almost gave up hope to find a decent ACTUAL yoga studio. Especially in South Florida, the few studios I did try out weren't about the breathing and other techniques that I'm use to. I tried Shayna's Monday 7:45p class and I. LOVED. IT! It was a hot (not bikram hot, but definitely heated) vinyasa flow class that definitely helped start to undo the five months of mess I've put my body through. Her music selection was epic. The way she instructed the class was very good. And her energy was/is magnificent. It was just nice to be in a room full of people who (seem to) want to practice yoga the way it was intended. Apparently, it's also under new management so prices and packages are not as expensive. When I went, newbie's practiced for free and have the option to by an unlimited week pass for $30. I will definitely be trying this out to see how great the other instructors are. I walked out from class feeling all sorts of rejuvenated and love Mondays even more now. This yoga studio actually is a yoga studio! There's been a lot of studies on the benefits of yoga and I wanted to start doing yoga. After reading many reviews, I stumbled upon yoga connection. Yoga Connection isn't one of those yoga classes at your typical gym where they turn the dance studio into a yoga class right after. This studio is solely dedicated to yoga with instructors with years of expertise. I never knew there were so many different types of yoga until I looked at their website. I took the complimentary Kriya Yin class. I felt so relaxed after the Kriya Yin. My muscles were stretched where I didn't know needed stretching. The breathing exercises really calmed me down. The instructor was very attentive and showed me how to do certain movements when she noticed I was confused or lost. I'm definitely going back for more! read more

So let's start with telling you guys, that I have tried my first attempt to fall in love with yoga three months ago at a place at Fort Lauderdal two weeks of trial and I decided that probably I am not made for yoga and it is simply not my thing.... But a couple months after, while going through a very tough period of my life, a friend of mine invited me there with her.... And that was the moment of realization- it's not about the place it's about people... - I felt very welcomed, I was given my own space, when I needed it (while picking at others to copy them) and attention, when I was struggling to make it.... to me- I found my safe heaven and close minded people, that are so real, so genuine!!! Each and every instructor at this yoga school, teachers something unique and different, I can't even choose a favorite one!
