Love this place! It isn't the greatest place for beginners but if you are a bit active, after a few classes you will get the swing of things. I have taken classes with a handful of different instructors and all are great. My absolute favorite is David! He is so thorough in his explanations and pushes you to be the best version of yourself.

I just finished the FLOW60 class taught by Sara B and it was a challenge that left me feeling stronger at the end. It was a hot yoga class and so I got a good sweat session in while moving my body to the rhythm of the music and the teachers direction. I enjoyed this class a lot! Sara mentioned this was her last time teaching yoga at the studio so I'm sad that I just found her! But I'm glad that I got to experience this class! I'll look for similar ones like it!

Okuurrr Let's start by giving props to AVESTA S. for bringing us here. She raved so much about this place and how much she feels good after going so I was like okurr, ima check it out so me and mah girl SARVIN K. joined her. So I roll up a little late but the girls at the counter were so fast to get me checked in and into my class, they set up my mat for me and got my weights and boom I was on my way. The instructor was going her thing and people were in the zone. The place was PACKED on a Sat morning. Nice. The lights were neon giving us a vibe. Music was upbeat and energizing. We did a HIIT pilates class, I wanna say?? It was HOT, heated room, sweating..b..ehhmmm..this yelp so have to be polite. But you get it, yo girl was DRENCHED. The instructor walks around and checks you on your poses and form which is super helpful. Everybody is into it and the vibe is great. We finish and I feel so warm and somewhat relaxed yet I broke a hell of a sweat. I'm already craving another class! Avesta is right it is addicting! Thanks ladies of yoga joint for hooking me up with a great class, hope to come again soon!!!

What an amazing studio! I'm so happy YJ decided to open up a location out west. They're located in the marina medical plaza on the south side of SR84 between Pine Island and University. The main entrance to the studio is in the back of the building. When I walked in, a bunch of yogis just finished class. I waked got her desk where I was greeted by super friendly staff. They had me sign in with my information and waiver so they could put me into their system. They showed me around and told me where everything was. They have a great restroom/locker room area with showers and lockers. Their new studio is gorgeous and very pretty. I loved the iPads on the walls where you can sign into the classes if you don't have their phone app. Great merch area with the couches. Really great atmosphere overall. I chose to take advantage of the new student deal, $40 for 2 weeks of unlimited classes. My class today was the 1 hour hot fusion flow with David. Amazing class! David had such amazing energy and I left feeling so relaxed, rejuvenated and uplifted. I really cannot say enough good things about David's class. Their schedule is great and has a lot more availability and class options compared to other studios. I can't wait to come in excited to check out some more instructors and other class offerings at the new Yoga Joint studio!

I had two of my clients already raving about this place, so as soon as I saw it on ClassPass, I knew I had to get a class. This place is gorgeous. It has two heated studios that are kept dark, with several fans running on top. Gives it a nicer, more intimate vibe. I don't know if it's always as dark in there, but it was completely dim for the 7:00am class. Loved it. The waiver signing was a piece of cake. They have a tablet on the reception area, so it's all digital. After I filled everything out, they asked me if I had a mat and mat towel (aka yoga toe) due to it being a heated class, since they have some at the front. They showed me where the hand towels were and how to operate the locker. Gaby was my instructor, and she was amazing. She had a nice tone of voice, and spoke very clearly, even on top of the music that was playing. Her instructions were very clear and did the class along with us. Quite possibly my favorite yoga place. Will be going again soon.

I am NEVER disappointed when I leave yoga joint. I usually take Maria's class but I had some "me" time today and took Shaine's class. Saturday, 4 pm, could've been anywhere but this is where I chose and I'm so happy! Within the first 5 minutes my abs were on FIRE!!! And when she called out "final 5 minutes" I had to check my watch bc I felt like we had just started...that's how you know it was a fun, engaging class! I have a 10 year old and no place for kids, if my daughter could go and sit on the couch while I took class, I'd go minimum 4 times a week!

Do they automatically roll you into a full paying member after the first month? I see that they offer promotional starting rate.

Last time I checked, they do not. However, I would call to make sure because some things HAVE changed a bit since they first started the system.

She has years of Iyengar yoga experience having studied with BK Iyengar at his Institute in India and going back for advanced training on a regular basis. When we arrived, the instructor was signing people in and gave a few instructions for first-timers (just me) on the importance of hydration. Hydrate 45(?) minutes before and after class, making sure to drink something with electrolytes as you sweat... a lot. Walking into the warm studio, you already start to sweat but the class was amazing with the instructor aware of the skill levels of everyone in class. I was so grateful for her going over certain things a bit more as I haven't stepped into an in-person yoga class since college. I was DRIPPING in sweat, in the best way possible, and was absolutely drenched by the end of class. Even though I felt like I just took a shower, I was so relaxed. Pro tip: don't forget to bring your own mat, towel, and water!

I knew CynthiaB from a studio I had attended regularly pre-Covid and was excited that she had opened SHINE ON YOGA but I didn't have the confidence (with my vulnerable bronchia) to attend. Flash forward three years and the body of this late-60's gal has clearly paid the price for not continuing a 10-year practice. I knew I HAD to get my joints moving again and to regain the sense of calm and rhythm that yoga can bring to one's life. I needed the nurturing of my yogi-sisters again. I started by attending some of the on-line/remote classes in the privacy of my own home. This was an excellent place to begin as I am very self conscience of the weight I've gained and my lack of flexibility. No one to see me struggle, no one to see my pudgy gut. There are many styles of yoga offered at ShineOn and I have chosen to attend those classes that are "Low & Slow" (my term) so that I don't strain this old body of mine. I am partial to the Restorative/Yin class offered on-line on Monday mornings and the Yin/Restorative flow on Thursdays, both lead by Cynthia. Both of those classes are ideal for anyone who wants to stretch those muscles and get those joints fluid, so I encourage anyone who is a little out of shape to start there. As I get stronger and more confident again, I'll start attending the 'flow' classes regularly too. Ashtanga, VInyasa and Kundalini classes are offered as well - and even some classes in Spanish! But meanwhile I'll cautiously build my practice with the gentle and nurturing "Low & Slow" classes at ShineOn. And as a result, I'll be better at practicing patience with myself too as I transition.

Yogi Hari sat at the edge of the table. I introduced myself but everyone stared at me pretty blankly. Then one girl showed me where the satsang was. During the Satsang I was one of two other new guests. He would only acknowledge the other two guests and ignored me. He asked their names and engaged with them. Someone had to bring his attention to acknowledge me but he just looked at me and didn't ask for my name like the other two women. The satsang was beautiful. Afterwards, he gave a talk on the importance of health. The first time he acknowledged me was when he looked directly at me and asked me if " i knew what a blunt was?" So weird. After the satsang he asked if anyone had questions. I asked if they had other events throughout the month. He mentioned the yoga teacher training. Then he looked directly at me and asked "ANY OTHER QUESTIONS!?" In a strange tone. When it was over everyone kneeled in front of his feet and bowed while he pat their heads. I chose not to. It was my first time there and I simply went to feel it out. I was respectful but I didn't feel called to bow at his feet. I was the only one who didn't. Then, a student wanted to give the guests a tour. I was completely ignored and I felt a lot of weird energy. All though I'm sure the yoga teachings are beneficial and the garden has many wonderful herbs like soursop leaves I would not go back. During my time at the Ashram, I encountered unwarranted sexual advances from Yogi Hari, which made me profoundly uncomfortable and distressed. Yogi Hari also verbally abused me and publicly humiliated me in front of the other students. These actions were deeply distressing and detrimental to my well-being. On the second day of my stay at the ashram, Yogi Hari made sexual advances towards me in front of others attending the program. His behavior was disrespectful and unsuitable for someone in his position as a Yogi Master and teacher. After denying his request for sexual favors, Yogi Haris continued to publicly humiliate me on at least 5 occasions during the program. My attempts to express my concerns to Ashram staff were not met with his removal of his interaction with students as I believe he suffers from dementia and is unable to control his sexual outbursts. It is essential to remember that Yogi Hari's actions not only violated the trust I placed in the Ashram but also conflict with the ethical standards expected of a yoga teacher and spiritual leader. This behavior calls into question the suitability of Yogi Hari's continued participation at the Ashram.
