I was honestly quite rude last time I was here because I thought they thought I was going to walk out and not pay- not the case, they just didn't want me to ruin my nails so had me pay early. TEERIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE... only reason they're still up and running is because Dekalb is so small & limited to no options. They can never get my nails right from the shape and whenever I come here I seem to always get nail funguses. The customer service is awful, always long wait times and the quality of nails are bare minimum, not to mention the vibe in here is always OFF from the nail techs to the customers. This place is one of the better nail salons in DeKalb, but you have to wait quite a while to get any service done. I've been here a few times and I have had to wait between 45 minutes to an hour and a half to be seated. When I got to my seat (every time I have been in), I waited 15 minutes for someone to start my nails. I have come here during slow and busy times, and the wait has not changed. Additionally, the techs are slow, so just plan to be getting your nails done for about 2 hours or more. My nails have ALWAYS looked beautiful when the service is complete, but the wait time is ridiculous. read more

okay i've been going to get my nails done here for a while and the two times i've went to get a fill in they've been terrible. Today I got a fill in and I showed her what I wanted and she filled my nail in with the clear acrylic instead of the nude acrylic i already had on my nails. I had also needed a nail repair and she repaired the nail and it looks completely different from the others and it's obvious. She also forgot to put the top coat on my left thumb i didn't notice until i got home and the nail polish was lifting. and i've tried to file the nails to make it look a little better but nothings helping. Literally don't know what to do, it's hard trying to find a nail salon that's not gonna waist your time and money. Overall don't go here if you have high expectations of what you want your nails to look lik. read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars. We went here for a group outing with 9-10 people. (Yes we called in advance to schedule) We were rushed, the experience was ANYTHING but relaxing. I got a no chip and so did my one coworker, we were right next to each other at the salon; and both of us had different steps done during the service. You'd think that services would be the same. We spent a lot of money and no they did not give us any discounts. While we were there numerous customers were complaining about their wait. Not worth the money. I normally go to DK Nail Spa they never rush and take their time. I would recommend them over this place any day! read more

This place is absolutely terrible. I went in to get a pedicure bringing with me my own nail polish (sally Hansen). I waited 20 minutes to be told it would be another few minutes. Okay fine. I waited and they get to completing my requested service. We get to the point of the pedicure where it's time to paint my toes. Well I pulled my polish out and they begin speaking in their language and decided that they didn't want to apply my polish and if they were to apply it they would charge as if I were receiving a no chip pedicure. If you know anything about sally Hansen you know they have a miracle gel polish that dryers quickly and works with or without uv light. They kept saying they wouldn't polish my toes and said if they did they'd charge me more. They level of service is poor read more

They use dirty tools and the people working there are completely unprofessional and rude. I took my stepdaughter there and not only did we leave with wet nails that looked nothing like the pictures we showed them, but they were clearly talking about my stepdaughter in a foreign language right in front of us. The men who work there were looking at my stepdaughter and talking and laughing and then asked how old she was and after being told that she's 10 went back to talking and laughing with each other while looking and pointing at her. This place was horrible! I came to get off my acrylics and instead of soaking them into acetone they took an UNUSED ACRYLIC NAIL to peel them off. You're better off just taking them off yourself it'll probably be a lot less painful. read more

I went there to get acrylic nails on a whim. The atmosphere left something to be desired. The customer service was poor to adequate at best. I was tossed from one person to another, and couldn't sit next to my friend while she got her manicure. I got the french tips, and asked if I could have black tips instead of white. As she painted my tips black, she looked at me and said I like the white better. I was slightly offended that she was trying to make me feel bad about the choice I had made, that was kind of rude. They did a good job on my nails, but with all the different nail spa's around the area - I would bet I could get the same job done just as well but with better customer service. read more

My friend treated me to my first Mani pedi for my birthday. In the middle of my manicure the the girl left me sitting there to go do a new walk-ins eyebrows. I had to wait ten minutes for her to come back. While i waited I had time to notice how dirty the place is. When we asked why she did that the owner said it's no big deal don't worry about it. I guess he can say the same to himself over the loss of business. In the end my nails were rush polished not even getting the whole nail and my friends nails were ruined before we even left. If i could give 0 stars, I would. I had heard bad things about this salon, but decided it's pretty hard to mess up an acrylic fill. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, the color selection here is very small, and I felt my nail technician breathing over my shoulder forcing me to pick my color quicker. Flustered, I told her I was simply looking for a light , baby pink. She assured me she had the color and rushed me to my seat. I wish I had gotten the name of my technician so I could recommend that nobody goes to her... but she didn't introduce herself to me. Anyways, she asked if I wanted my nails short -and I said yes. She took the power drill on a high setting to quickly and unevenly cut them down which hurt, considering she cut my natural nails down too. After that, she did the fill and i asked her to make my nails more even, since they were all cut on an angle. Then, she showed me the color she picked which is a bright pink neon color, nothing like what I wanted. However I could tell she was rushed so I agreed the color was ok. Any chance she had, she would check her phone, she was even reading texts WHILE PAINTING MY NAILS. The paint job was sloppy, and the tips were left unpainted and look messy. I hate the color and the shape of my nails are all uneven Also, when asked to pay $20, I asked why it wasn't $17- the posted price for a fill. She informed me that it's $3 extra to trim the length. I am so upset that I lost $20 here. I would not recommend this salon to ANYONE and I already painted over my nails and filed them to make them even. read more

I am so happy with my pedicure from VP! I had the tropical exfoliating pedicure ($35) and it was by far the best I've ever had. I had calluses and dry skin all over my feet and they're completely gone. This included a paraffin wax which was phenomenal. Overall I would recommend this salon over the others in Dekalb. read more

I felt like I was on vacation. I heard about this place through a friend that comes all the time so I gave it a try. Best decision ever. I walked in, very friendly courteous customer service. I waited only 5 seconds to be serviced. I was offered lemonade in a glass and a description of services they provide. I got an acrylic full set with 2 designs and chose the Tropical pedicure (with the wax in a bag to put my feet in with 10 minute massage...omg it was like heaven) $65 total. Well worth it!! I am sitting in the pedicure chair as I write this. I requested to have the "hot stone therapy spa pedicure" for my tired achy legs and feet. According to their brochure and description, it states you will receive a 10 minute hot stone treatment which will be followed by a 10 minute massage. This is false advertising as the actual amount of time spent on my hot stone treatment was 5 minutes followed by maybe a 2 minute massage. This 7 minute treatment cost me $40 which is absurd as I did not receive the full 20 minutes as noted on their brochures. I love giving tips for good service but I will not be leaving any additional tips today. If I come back for services to this salon, I will stick with the basics as extra services are not worth the time here. read more

This nail salon is pretty. I got my brows waxed here & it was literally the quickest wax ever it took her about a minute. I felt as if she was rushing. Anyway the hair grew back in like a week. When I went in to get my nails done I told her look at my eyebrows it don't even look like you did them a few days ago. She said it was bc my hair grew fast. No. Anyway I got a full set with acrylic and it SUCKED when she was laying the acrylic it was all lumpy but she smoothed it out after I pointed it out. Then I felt like my nails were too wide at the tips. I felt like my hands were ugly but my fiancé convinced me they looked fine. Not even a week later nails were popping off! I had heard about this place from a friend who got their eye brows done here. I went in for a basic manicure, which seems to be frowned upon now. I waited about 20 minutes and I have never had such a bad manicure experience. The nail tools were clearly not sanitized and reused, she rushed through cleaning my cuticles, and painted my nails so quick that there are missed spots and bubbles in the polish. The worst part for me was when she was going to give me a hand/arm massage she threw lotion on my arms and then told me to go wash my hands. I rarely get manicures and that is the part I mainly go for. I do not recommend this nail salon at all, waste of time and money. read more

Waiting 45 minutes, 20 of them in the pedicure chair with no water. Wait, there's water. Leaking on the floor from the chair next to me. The floor is filthy. Now I'm soaking in not warm water. I could have done this while I was waiting in this very uncomfortable chair. If its going to be a 45 minute wait, tell me. Now the nail tech has left me in this not warm water while she waxes someone. I've been here an hour and all I have to show for it is clipped, toes with polish removed. Putting on my flip flop she messed up my pinky toe, used a cotton ball soaked in nailpolish remover to clean it, then stuck it between my toes to keep them from touching. I was once a semi loyal customer until an incident happened where I've gotten my nails done and I got the no-chip gel set. Not only did my nails chip a day later a nail broke as well. I went back and showed him my nails and he accused me of lying. I was not asking him to fix it for free nor was I coming in for a come-up. I simply wanted my nail fixed. But when he addressed it, he did it in a extremely condescending manner. Where he wasn't even speaking to me, he literally talked over me and to his customers defending his work. I was later informed that this was the actual owner I was dealing with which brought me to leave this very review. He was blatant and disrespectful and I calmly told him that he didn't have to accuse me of lying and I told him that id rather take my business elsewhere and wished for him to have a great day. I later got it fixed somewhere else. But when I finally removed the nails and attempted to repaint them myself, my nails wouldn't take the polish. I never had this issue before and it was aggravating to go over two weeks with my nails unpainted. I will never bring my business there ever again and I STRONGLY advise other not to as well. read more

I tried this place last week as a walk in. No other guests were waiting and one girl was open and available. I choses mani pedi combo. The pedicure was so mediocre she spent a total of 15 minutes. She put my feet Iin cold water did not even adjust after I mentioned water was cold. She allowed no soaking time immediately started on pedi. Another guest arrived they told her a few minutes. I was rushed to manicure table where again zero soak time. When the new walk in suggested she would come back later in day, they sat her next to me and started to file her nails while I sat ( no hand washing super unsanitary). I complained that was rude and asked them to complete my manicire before starting a new client. She spoke to her male supervisor in another language and then returned to my table. The manicure chipped within the day. I would never return here as they have ZETO RESPECT for clients. I have only written one review before this that should explain how bad this place was. read more

I have been here several times, and I'm not sure why I go back. I have a young daughter that likes to get mini-manis and pedis when I go. Last time they took her before me, so we didn't get to sit by each other during either. You'd think you'd have a child with their parent. I did get a full set put on, which I don't normally do... they guy didn't talk.. made me feel really uncomfortable. When I noticed a nail was shaped wrong he looked mad. Let me first just say the employees of this nail spa are always outside smoking. I don't have an issue with people smoking in general, but to me this looks very unprofessional. I went in spur of the moment to have my nails done. I ordered the pink and white french tips. It has been about 8 years since I have had my nails done and it was at this same nail spa, so I was surprised the place had been updated and upon first impression it looked nice. One of the male techs did my nails for me and did not speak during the entire hour he was doing them except to laugh at me and hit my hands and fingers a few times so I would move them as he was working. Again very unprofessional and I did not find this amusing. He also dropped the dusting brush and a nail file on the floor and proceeded to pick them up and reuse them. All ten of my finger tips were sore the rest of the evening which I don't remember happening when I had my nails done before. I also felt as if a few steps were skipped. Nothing was done to clean my cuticles up and I know for certain that is a step usually taken. The next day I also noticed some yellowing around the edges of a few nails. I don't tan or smoke nor did I get my hands into anything that would cause this kind of yellowing. I'm unsure what would cause this so I am only left to guess it was from poor technique on the tech's part or old/bad products being used. It also seems the edges along each of my nail beds are already looking like they need filling in and the job was only done 3 days ago! This should not be happening so soon. I will not be going back and will look for a better, more professional place in the area to fix them for me. read more

I have no idea how this place is still in business! The techs here have no idea what they are doing. I went to get a fill in and pedicure and left more stress then I actually went in! There is nail polish smeared all on my toes and then it was time for my fill in the tech was obviously in a rush which is how I have cuts all over the edges around my nails. She did not put lotion on or give me a hand message and she had the nerve to be mad and give attitude because I didn't tip her. Then when the horrible job was done it was time for me to dry my nails. I was literally sitting at the dying station for 2 minutes, next thing you know she's turning off all the lights and telling me to put my shoes because my toes and fingers were dry!!! I told her my nails were not dry yet and she said well be careful lol are you serious! As I was walking out, I looked at the door where the hours of operation were listed and it clearly says they close at 8pm... it was only 7:20 when she kicked me out! I am definitely going as soon as they open to get my money back and let the owner know! I am also letting EVERYONE I know to NEVER go in there and waste their money on a poor excuse of a nail salon!
