My daughter and I have been searching for the perfect nail place for years. I think we finally found the perfect place. Just on North Avenue across the street from McDonald's in St. Charles is this amazing nail salon. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment for later that afternoon which worked perfect for us. We were greeted as we walked in given the basket of gel polishes to pick from and then shown to our stations. The salon is clean and the staff are friendly. Karen did my fullset acrylics with gel polish, I showed her the pic on Pinterest I wanted and she was able to get it exactly right! She was quick and professional and my nails look great! Tip: make an appointment while we were there a few walk ins were turned away. read more

Called and specifically asked if they know how to work with ingrown toe nails for my appointment and to have a tech that worked with them before - they confidently said yes they do - they do not. Showed up to the appointment to have someone dig at my toes with tools that were way too big to remove ingrown toe nails and was in so much pain. Will not be back. read more

Lucas is amazing. I was going to this place in Geneva forever. My dip would come up in the corners in like a week! Lucas works magic&it stays on sometimes 3+ weeks. I found this salon from a yelp search, & also saw nice pictures of their work on their facebook page. I had already tried a different salon in the area, & I was not in love with my dip manicure, so I decided to give this place a try. I was able to book an appointment the day before, so they have great availability. I came on a Saturday morning at 10am, & it wasn't crowded. I got my dip manicure done by Yeng. I let her know what I wanted & what I didn't like about my last manicure. She was very easy to talk to. I also showed her the picture of what I wanted, & she delivered! I loved my nails! My first time ever visiting this salon, I've had the the worst experience ever. I showed the technician a photo of what I wanted and asked him if he could do it and if he couldn't we could try something different/ more simple and i showed him another photo that was much more simpler than the first. He told me that he could recreate the first picture with no problem and proceeded to do my nails. As he's doing my nails he begins to put powder of the wrong color on my nails and on the wrong fingers even though I told him which color powders I wanted and also what fingers to put them on. I kept telling him he was doing it wrong and that he didn't have to do it and we could do the more simple style so he wouldn't have to waste his time because I could already tell that this was going downhill. He then tells me no and that it's okay but still continues to do the total opposite of what i asked for (not to mention he cut my nails much shorter than i asked as well). As he is still doing the opposite of what i asked and showed him, I told him that I didn't want my nails done anymore and he could just cut them off because it wasn't going at all as i planned. He then tells me no and kept going anyway so I asked someone else that worked there to let him know that it was completely wrong and tell him to stop and take them off. He finally agrees to take them off for me but I now notice that he has an attitude and as he's cutting off the tips of my nails, he cut my fingers as well. I was as kind as possible and in return here are my results... I will never get my nails done here and also will not recommend anyone come here as well. read more

would give zero stars. used unsanitary equipment over and over. skipped SEVERAL steps for acrylic nails. nails didn't even last a day. staff is clearly unskilled. when they use drill bit they do 5+ on natural nails when it should be a 2. they do a lot of steps that ruin your natural nails and damage your surrounding cuticles. read more

Went here for the first time Saturday to get a fill, something seemed off for the whole acrylic process i assumed they do acrylics here different. Next day my nail snapped in the middle causing my actual nail to break, causing a lot of pain. Waited till Monday to go since they're closed Sunday to speak with manager, he would not refund my money, so i asked for my 30$ tip back and he refused as well. he did fix the nail but the following day another nail chipped the same way causing pain. I love this place, don't get me wrong, they are very friendly and usually do great work. I am not sure about the technician I had the last two visits. On one visit, she was using the callus remover on my feet and scraped my skin until it was raw on my toe. It hurt for about a week after that. I didn't notice how much it hurt until I got home. Now, on this last visit, I asked her to trim my nails and she started cutting until it was right up against the skin and I did say "ow" at one point. Then, she continued to filed them down and now my skin was raw again. It stung whenever she used the alcohol. Now I am in pain, again, the day after. I have always had a great experience here and now I'm starting to question going back. I know for sure I do not want her touching my feet again. read more

Kathy and Karen have the best team out there! They accommodate walk ins, same day appointments and even special requests. I have never left dissastified with my nails. Even after moving away, I pass several nail salons to come here. Every employee is talented and friendly. I have no clue how this place has such high ratings. I would give negative stars if I could. The staff was SO unprofessional. They speak to each other so rudely, it made me incredibly uncomfortable. My technician kept telling me that the man (who seemed to be in charge) always talks to her like she's stupid. I was there at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and it was empty for almost an hour, a mom and daughter walked in a little later and also looked uncomfortable especially when the staff began to yell at each other. I don't know what they were arguing about but it was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Another technician there blew his nose in the middle of the salon... gross... go to the bathroom and do that. My nails were mediocre, not great at all, not terrible, but most definitely not worth ever going back. read more

I do not recommend this salon. Although the people are nice, they get very distracted. The lady doing my pedicure got up in the middle of it to go get a snack. They also bad mouth other customers and their choices in polish when they aren't there. That is disrespectful. I was also getting my no chip taken off and they left the foils on way too long. They made it sound like it was my fault! Both my pedicure and no chip manicure chipped after 6 days! So disappointing! Great experience. Very clean, friendly staff, and meticulous manicure. My friend and I went in for mani/pedis and were not rushed although we later found out we were there passed closing time. Pedicure chairs are new and in excellent condition - the basins have chromotherapy which is a nice extra touch. Lots of nail colors to choose from - all organized and numbered. The technician even matched my toe polish to the no chip color for my fingernails without my asking. After experiencing very busy nail salons that start feeling grungy and run down, this place fresh and new. Definitely will be back and recommend you check it out if you haven't already! read more

Rate: 0. If you like inconsiderate service and cracked, split, and filed down skin, this is the place for you. I went there for a manicure and the man who "served" me was rough beyond belief. I stated to him that he was filing the lateral edge of my nails too rough and to either file more gentle or stop altogether. He stated sorry yet continued to file the same spot and multiple nails leaving multiple split skin marks around the edge of my finger. I explained to a woman the incident and all she did was give me a single digit refund after I payed 50 plus dollars for the service, including a tip. Never going here again,never tipping again for such poor service. Businesses should realize that the service they complete should have the clients as their number one priority. It is, in fact, the reason they are in business, thanks to clientele. It's businesses like this that have money as their priority. Think again before entering and having your finger sliced by a nail filer multiple times and before a man shakes your finger to indirectly state "loosen your finger/relax" instead of just speaking out-loud. read more
