Front

Located on Melrose is V Cut Cigar Lounge. Street parking. This modern cigar lounge is bright, clean and airy. Huge glass doors in the front to let in light and large humidor, with a decent selection, in the back. They had some Opus X here, which is a plus! I went with 2 Padron 1926 Maduro and he recommended one other that did deliver the strength, like he promised. They make you feel welcomed here. *Overall, decent/solid Cigar Lounge*

A friendly environment, heat lamp out in the front patio for cold (cool) California days/nights , indoor outdoor tv's to watch your games, news ect. Great cigar selections it's a mix of main stream & boutique brands If your in Hollywood go by for smoke & relaxation

Great public cigar lounge. They've got Opus X which is always a plus. Spacious and friendly staff.

This is definitely not your grand dad's cigar lounge. If I can provide a comparison, I'd go with my other fave. Coffee. Starbucks would be the cigar lounge that only Carrie's Davidoff and Fuente sticks. The draft coffee shops, like Tepito in Pasadena, have that small batch coffee that's unique and special. Same goes for this lounge. The majority of cigars they offer are the small batch variety you've read about in CigarSnob mag or hear about on the cigar podcasts. They carry Lost and Found, Illusione, Aganorsa and Curivari. That's more my speed. Considering we are close to downtown LA and located on Melrose, I'd expect prices to be higher than they are. This shop offers exceptional bang for your buck. Wonderful variety at a decent price and you can light up indoors. What else could you possibly ask for? If I lived in this hood, I'd be here every week.

Great selection and a huge variety of cigars. Staff is extremely welcoming. I love how you can go to a great cigar lounge and always find interesting people.

Lets keep yelp real!!! I really enjoy the establishment. I've been here several times now and for being on Melrose there is plenty of parking, surprisingly down to earth, clean, and always stocked. One of the few places that has Caldwell sticks. Unlike many cigar lounges in the area you don't have to be a member to sit and enjoy a smoke without feeling judged. The customer service is great. My new regular spot.

Outstanding selection and great lounge feel. This is what a cigar lounge should feel like.

This is the titular V Cut.

This is the titular V Cut. I have to say this cut has a enormous utility and makes for an efficient exhale. I visited for the first time today and wasn't completely sure what I was in the mood for outside of the usual cigar brands. I described my tastes and preferences to Conrad; he nailed it. Place itself is modern, friendly and comfortable, and the outdoor space is a bonus for those of us who like to have some fresh air while we're burning tobacco between puffs. They take Apple Pay, thus it's wallet optional for anyone wanting to keep their pockets free. A gem of a spot that's been around this neighborhood for a while that is well worth a visit. Why did I procrastinate visiting V Cut all these years?

We had reservations for a Sunday night and were seated at the best table in the house. This speakeasy cocktail lounge is small & dimly lit, which creates a cozy & intimate atmosphere. The Polynesian inspired décor is on point. Bamboo beaded curtains, thatched lamps, tropical prints, & an eight-foot tiki statue add to the charm. Our server Sean was fantastic with a capital F! He entertained us the entire evening. Of course, Tiki cocktails served in kitschy glassware are the main attraction but they also offer Island inspired dishes if you are hungry. (You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch. All the drinks were tasty and strong so we ordered a few nibbles: Coconut Shrimp, Lucky Orange Chicken, & Wok-Fried Chow Mein. The food was yummy and hit the spot. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the presentation of the drinks and ambience. Thank you Sean for making our visit to Lucky Tiki a 5-star experience. *Metered street parking.

Once you do, there's a little puzzle to solve to actually get inside. Not going to spoil it as it is pretty easy to figure out. Once inside, the vibe changes to full tiki and the experience begins. The drinks are strong, but also flavorful as they tend to come with tropical flavors to pair with the different rums and other spirits. We tried a plethora of cocktails offer the night amongst six of us. I'd say a good half of them tasted watered down, as if the ice was melting too fast. And they are usually over filled with ice, for presentation. You can also order food at the table, which comes from the hot dog restaurant below the tiki bar, so that's a nice touch to add a little sustenance to your drinking. Drinks come out as ordered, but the bar is usually full so they can take a while to get to the table. Just an FYI. Lucky Tiki is a fun bar with creative cocktails and little shows with some of the drinks, but too many tasted watered down (again, a lot of ice in the drinks). But the vibe is fun and it's a nice spot to come to with a group of friends.

It felt social without being overwhelming, making it easy to have a conversation or simply sit back and enjoy the drink. Only saw it after heading in to use the restroom and it looked really modern chic in there. My one knock on this place was the service. Our server attended us to take our order and then never came back and we were there for nearly 3 hours. We had to wave him down several times to get his attention. He even made a comment on how he hasn't been to our table at all but didn't seem apologetic. It wasn't really busy on a Sunday night but maybe they were short staffed.
