Found this place close to my home. I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend this place. Decent price and fast service.

I would assign ZERO stars if I could! Owner did not finish my alteration on the date she set [nine days]. When I arrived to pick up the garment one day after she said it would be done [May 1 rather than April 30], she said it was not done. I asked if she had my phone number [why didn't she call to inform me it wasn't complete?] - she said she did. She set a new pickup date of May 4. I picked it up on May 5 and asked for a small discount, given her lack of communication about job completion, as well as a completely irresponsible attitude about the job. She said her price - $48 for a simple, front-only alteration of a blazer - was normally $78, and that I was "already getting a discount"! [She was asked to hem just ONE side of the blazer - why would I be charged an outrageous $78 fee for such a simple request?] She stated that she had told me that she was discounting the price from $78 to $48 when I dropped off the blazer on April 21 [she did not]. Moments later, her daughter came from the back, staring at me, asking me why I was "screaming" - which I most definitely was not, and calling me "passive aggressive". [Perhaps she needs to research the term, as I was most definitely NOT being passive aggressive. The owner then told me her daughter was a psychologist and plans to be a doctor. Ridiculous!]. The owner offered several times to show me the camera footage of our initial conversation on April 21 to verify that she had made statements on that day that I disputed today. I asked if the camera footage had recorded our conversation as well. She said yes. When I informed her that I would be posting a Yelp review - she became even more upset. She made several statements that were either untrue or embellished. Her attitude, by the way, changed entirely when she stated a customer was approaching the store. She was apparently more concerned about how she "appeared" to a male customer than resolving the issue. All in all, a very negative experience. By the way, I requested two years ago that buttons be moved on another blazer. The garment now does not hang properly because the buttons are not lined up evenly. Despite this, I did not complain or return for an adjustment, deciding to let the matter go. There are many other dry cleaning establishments in the area - I would suggest another one where family members do not demonstrate bullying tactics, do not name-call, and where the owner stands by her word. I regret coming to this place. I should've known not to drop off my son's uniform there, the lady at the shop was confused at my very simple request: sew a name and patch. She took a picture of the example to get the font & patch placement correct, yet still didn't seem to understand what was needed. Had to explain to her that the name in the example photo was not my son's. Told her I needed it Friday for an event and was told to stop by anytime Friday. Came at 1pm on Friday and my item was not ready. Came back at 2:30pm and the item was ready, however the patch was completely crooked and the name was in lowercase lettering and the completely WRONG font. I told her it was the wrong font and she seemed confused. She quickly fixed the patch, but there was no time to fix the name. She still charged the full $42! So now I have to take it somewhere else and pay more to get it corrected. Now I have to take the uniform somewhere else and pay again to fix their errors. I should have trusted my instincts and never let them touch my son's uniform. read more

I've been coming here a long time, and I have *always* been satisfied. You get excellent results, for a very good price. Just as good as Swanson's or the other places, without paying for the name. I am always helped by Varden. He is always friendly, and listens to what I need to have done. Even if either I have an event coming up quickly, or I screw up and get it in at the last minute, as long as it's a reasoable time frame, he will go out of his way to get it done. We will be finding another local dry cleaning business, because the attitude of the people in this cleaners is completely indifferent, rather than friendly and caring about the customer. They act like they wish you would go away! So we will! We've been there several times, and have received the same uninspiring treatment. Visiting from Chicago for a wedding, the lady was very sweet and was able to do small adjustments on my suit, three days before the wedding, along with cleaning and pressing. I even offered a tip and she refused it. Amazing service and the price was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!! read more

I have tried to come in on Saturdays when they open and they never open on time. They don't even put a sign on the door or anything. Pricing is good, but sometimes unreliable. I wish they would open on time because it is very frustrating when I drive all the way over for them to just not be open. read more

I had a black dress that had so many different stains on it from a previous party, not only were they able to take all those stains out but they were able to do it the same day I dropped off my dress! Twice they failed to make the repairs that I brought an item in for. If anything they made it much worse going from a rip of under an inch to one nearly three inches long. I would not recommend for clothing repairs. Honestly can't believe they sent the item back in it's condition. Dry cleaning may be fine but the attention to detail is not there. read more

They are about 10 minutes away from me and about to close, but stayed open while I jammed down there! Nice, professional, and went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate the situation. I'm disillusioned by the religious fervor of the staff. Religious scripture posted above the front door. They wear religion based T-shirts. They are friendly, but send me off with the blessing when leaving. To each his own, but I think it's inappropriate in the workplace. read more

VERY friendly staff !! I have been using them for the past year and they are very dependable. The store is extremely clean!!! I had a formal dress that needed to be altered. They charged me $25 where another alteration place wanted over $100 !!! My dress came out beautiful and it only took them 2 days. I love this place. I will never go anywhere else. I usually don't get alterations or dry cleaning at this location this was my 1st time and I needed the dress done by Saturday, this one cost me $45 and when my mom came to pick it up it wasn't worth what I paid, they mentioned it was going to be pressed and I received still wrinkled and towards the night when I wore it the string was coming off, I definitely won't be coming back I'll just stick to my other cleaners that charges me a great price of $30 and always does an amazing job. V Cleaners proves that you don't get what you pay for ... at Judi's and Swansons, that is. V Cleaners has done all my dry cleaning and laundered shirts for the past couple of months, and not only am I saving a ton of money, but the quality and customer service are outstanding. I can't remember how many times Swansons raised my blood pressure with dumb policies, apathetic help and spotty quality. Judi's does the best job clothes-wise, and the delivery man is so polite, but their prices are crazy and they, too, pissed me off many times for various reasons. I'm sticking with V Cleaners if the quality and service I'm getting now keeps up. read more

Great prices and quick service. Been there twice now and will definitely go back. Last time, turned in 2 comforters. When I picked them up they were folded nicely and in plastic comforter bags. Young man working even carried them out for me and out them in my car when he saw I was carrying my 7 month old daughter in her car seat. read more

I had been going to River Cleaners for a long time and was always very satisfied with their quality, service and reasonable prices. Upon driving up recently to see the River Cleaners sign gone I was a little concerned and especially so considering they had a lot of my clothes. It turned out to just be a remodel and a name change and it is back to business as usual. I was here today under the new V Max name and aside from the place looking more modern and appealing, everything else is about the same. The service and reasonable prices I've come to expect still seem to be the norm here. As for the name, well River Cleaners was a little unimaginative, but V Max sounds more like a boat or a motor oil and not a dry cleaners, but hey, to each their own. read more

V Max Cleaners is my new go-to dry cleaners. Their prices are very reasonable, they do alterations on site, the staff is friendly, and their turnaround is fast (usually 2 days, even with alterations). Most dry cleaners have to send alteration jobs somewhere else and it ends up taking 4-5 days. At V Max, I can have the alterations done and have the clothing dry cleaned and it will be ready in a couple days. Highly recommended. read more

I took clothes to this business two different times for altering, and they didn't alter them either time. The first time I went, I needed the pants for a trip I was taking and when I went to pick them up after I was told they would be ready, they were still sitting on the table and had not even been started. The second time I took clothes to be altered, when I picked up the clothes, the two items that I brought to be altered were simply dry cleaned; the sweater still had the button pinned on it that was supposed to be sewn on. Great place to bring all of your clothes. I've had alterations done that came out looking like the clothes were just bought. I even brought a pair of suede shoes there to be cleaned and they came out looking brand new. Excellent customer service, quick, a warm and friendly environment and very locally community minded. I wouldn't use this service if it was the last place on earth. I'd rather throw my clothes out and buy new ones. When you call, they never answer their phones and when you ask for a call back on the VM. You never get one. They never meet their commitment dates and times. I strongly recommend that you take your dry cleaning to someone else as these folks really don't care about their customers. In this case, my one item was supposed to be ready by Tuesday at 3pm. It is now Thursday at 1pm and I still don't have it and they don't care read more

DO NOT take your items here to be cleaned! Terrible customer service! First, they failed to properly mark the comforter, shams, and coverlet I brought in, so that when I went to pick up these items, they asked me, "Do you know what it looks like?". Really? You've got to be kidding! Then, on repeated stops into the store to try to retrieve the comforter THAT THEY LOST, they lie and say, "the manager will be in after 2 pm and she will call you" (which she does not). We do quite a bit of dry cleaning for my husband's work clothes each week. I had been to quite a few other cleaners in the area, but was always left with a bad taste. We had either been overcharged, the clothes were not as clean as they could be, or one place lost one of my husband's dress shirts... We decided to try V Max because it was not too far and honestly, we haven't looked back! :) They have very reasonable prices and they are very friendly and get things done quickly. I use to visit Silverado cleaners in Folsom till few months back till I heard of this V Max Cleaners on Sunrise Blvd. Gold River, CA 95670 and to my utter surprise the quality, service and their resonable prices for every need for Cleaning was awesome and I was surprised to see such a great place for having a feel as if daily I am wearing new clothes. The hostess Ms. Margaret Simon is very humble, polite and a person to learn customer service, I recommend all to once try this place and feel the difference your self. The one star is generous, first of all the guy at the counter cannot speak English and he makes no attempt to communicate. I told them no creases in my clothes, guess what I got creases in my clothes. The manager never called me back, although I asked several times to speak with her. This company is NOT good!!!! I really hope Karma is real, they need to know what its like to deal with a company that does care about its customers or to have pride in there work. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I have used many dry cleaners in the Sacramento area, and I have to say that so far, I am very impressed with V Max Cleaners. Their facility is clean and organized, and most importantly, their prices are very reasonable (cheap in comparison to many others) and my clothes are always ready when they are supposed to be. My wife dropped off my Pronto Umo slacks with coffee stains only. She picked them up and there was black stains on them that looked like black grease or black ink. She took them back, V Max tried again but today when my wife and I picked them up there is still some black stains on them and an oil mark on the seat. They tried to blame it on me but, there were absolutely NO black stains on them when my wife first brought them in. The cleaners offered us $40 credit for in the store. That's definitely not acceptable , I'm not going back there ! I have to buy new pants and these are wool, I bought them at The Men's Warehous, the price is now $129.
