UT was one of the highlights of my first Chicago trip! Wow! What an incredible venue and menu. The rooftop is absolutely incredible and feels like a bit of a mystic, Dr. Seuss, playground for adults. The one bad thing was how windy it was.. napkins and such were blowing around every which way from every table, but hey! It's Chicago. The food was phenomenal and so creative. Everything the table had was good. Several of their items are high-quality spin-offs of mainstream restaurant favorites. Their version of the "McRib", "crunchwrap supreme" etc are all on the menu with some creative names that should keep them safe legally :) One of my favorite items was the appetizer we had which was a "walking taco" served in flaming hot cheetos bag instead of the traditional fritos. So good. Service was really good and they had amazing cocktails to match the excellent food. The vibe is fun, vibrant, colorful, and the theme will give any 90s kid flashbacks to a time of Blue Barracudas and Taco Bell Drive-thrus... just the "adult version". Take a group and enjoy the experience. I will DEFINITELY return! read more

I went here over the weekend for a birthday. Service was pretty slow, all but one of their cocktails was available at 3pm -.-Food was mid, but the overall ambience was fine. After waiting in the bar for about 20min to get a drink, I asked for 3 shots of tequila and I clearly saw the bartender open a bottle of their cheap house tequila and pour me the shots yet I was charged over $50 because he claimed he poured "casa amigos". I spoke to the manager and she refused to listen to me claiming "casa amigos" is the only bottle they have and that gratuity was included. I had been here before and always had a good time. However, I was definitely scammed and this will be the last time I'll be going. read more

A great place to go hang with your friends for drinks! The city views were great and the vibe was very fun!.Highly recommend the Tiki drink - very boozy and delicious! read more

I was debating on leaving this review only because I was looking for things to actually like about it sincerely. First things first I would say this location is easily accessible, and in a surrounding area of other bars, restaurants etc. The staff was nice and maintained proper PPE which was a plus to see. I was expecting more vibrant colors, and a better aesthetic based off pictures and the name. I would admit some furniture items were cute, but I didn't feel super excited to be there. On to the drinks and food - the cocktails were regular sized, but they do have a Tiki drink that's $15 that appears bigger. If you're just an occasional drinker a cocktail would suffice. The party I was with had different food options. I tried the Tamales which were dry, bland and lacked flavor. *which was disappointing* There's honestly not many options for food which I expected as well. Also, there's not any food substitutions or alternatives that I've seen. Overall, I think this place is for a certain type of vibe and not for all. I personally would not come back, however I wouldn't say not to try! Service was okay, could've been better. read more

Fun atmosphere! The roof has so much to do & lots of room. Can be tough to secure a spot though, so make reservations to be outside. Great variety of canned beverages & food is average on par for bar food. Would recommend for a day in the city! read more

This bar was all over the place; I went in a group of 4 and we all got different items allowing for a diverse review. Half of us got ok drinks and the other half hated their cocktails, this was one of your typical situations to where the drinks were dressed beautifully but the taste did not match the presentation. The food was mediocre but, personally I don't expect much more from a social rooftop bar downtown. Now the the rooftop appearance and view was one of my favorites I've seen in Chicago; beautiful views, a very bright and social concept, along with "tailgate" furniture that fits the vibe. The hostess, manager, and bartender were all pretty rude but, our waitress was nice and helped alleviate a lot of that headache. If you are looking for somewhere to go strictly for food or drinks, I would go to one of the other hundred spots in downtown Chicago. If you are a tourist or wanting to try a new rooftop; I would give this spot a try simply for the view and aura. read more

I had high hopes for this place and maybe during the day time it would be better. There was throw up all over the women's bathroom and no toilet paper. The drinks were underwhelming and all we ended up getting were white claws, which we could've easily gotten at the neighborhood local bar. The view was pretty, but all in all you can go somewhere else for the same view. It took forever to be seated. However, the staff was very friendly. It was getting chilly outside and they were able to accommodate me by sitting us inside. With that being said though, I had to ask for a waitress/waiter several time because nobody came to our table. When we finally got a waiter after an hour of just sitting there, the waiter we did have was extremely kinda. 2/10 would recommend. read more

I came here for my birthday on a rainy Saturday in Sept.. BOO!!! But this place didn't disappoint. We first sat outside but as we saw the temperature and weather shifting, our server gladly moved us inside. We were there for hours! We probably had 1 of everything on the menu. I really enjoyed the nachos - couldn't keep my hands off of them. The margaritas were also very tasty. I cant wait to get past COVID and to get into warmer temperatures so that I can come and really enjoy the rooftop space. Oh! They also had this game where you could send a shot to someone - that meant you wanted to be friends, or you thought that person was cute. Super adorable and flirty - I could see myself having some fun with this in the future. read more

Impeccable atmosphere. The rooftop has such great views. Our waiter, Stone, absolutely incredible! He hands down made our experience 10x better. The GM is also very kind and great customer service! My only complaints are that the paper straws are BRUTAL, and that they need to put margaritas and mules on the drink menu. The drink menu is very limited and I almost didn't even get a drink because of the selection. Other than that it is a good spot to day drink! read more

We went on the first warm day. It was pretty full so I'd recommend making a reservation the day before on Resy. There are a mix of table games and lawn games subject to availability. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is a little high. The pork nachos were great, it's a large portion and easy to share. I was confused by the cheddar brat, it was thin, like a hot dog and I couldn't taste any cheddar. read more

Original 1 star Review - I was doubled charged for drinks, left a voicemail for management and haven't heard back. Eric the GM reached out (see below) and we have been in communication. I had been wanting to come here since I saw it open over the summer. It was very cold when we came here with plenty of snow and we still went out on the rooftop patio. I bet this is awesome during the summer months. From what I could see there was mini golf, corn hole, giant jenga and connect 4. During the winter there are heated tents, which are free! There's a space heater in each tent and super soft and cozy Sherpa blankets. However, it's still pretty frigid so we only hungout in there for like an hour or so. I liked that you can get mini coolers filled with beer or white claws. read more

Unless you have a reservation, don't bother. This bar is always busy on the weekends and will not let you in until 12:30-1am. The reservations are booked out weeks in advanced. Drink prices - $$ , not worth it. A single is the price of a double at a normal bar ($12+). Double vodkas are $18. As an Old Town local, I pass on this place. read more

I came here on a Tuesday night and was very excited to stop in, have a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. My husband and I waited until 9 pm to arrive so that we could experience the vibe at night since that's when we believed it would be the most alive. However, when we got there, we were turned away by the security guard who stated last call was at 9:30 and he wasn't letting anyone else in. I explained that on their phone system and online, it stated they were open until 12 a.m. We were still 30 minutes before this 9:30 deadline he spoke about but he told us no one else was getting it tonight. I had gotten all dressed up and excited to hang out here while visiting Chicago and am deeply disappointed. I even tried calling twice after we left to see if this would be the hours for the rest of this week and no one answered. read more

Its another rooftop bar that is probably better when covid doesn't put a damper on the party. Usually they have games to play and places to take pictures but when we went you really couldn't leave your table. But I would say there's better places to drink in the city. read more

I came here at night with a reservation with friends for my birthday. The service was mediocre at best, drinks were fine (more on that later) and food was bland and cold when it finally came to us (took over 45 mins after ordering). Like I said we had a reservation for our table and under an hour in a staff member came over and told us we needed to leave the table because a reservation was coming in. We said no, we have this reserved and we are waiting on food so we aren't leaving. He asked us "really?" and we kept saying yes and he eventually left us alone. Really odd. Our waitress was not great either, took forever and seemed annoyed/had a bit of an attitude the entire time we were there despite the fact that our entire group was nice and polite the entire time (I promise it's not like we were mean/Karen's or anything our girl group is not like that). On top of that we ordered the biggest cooler available to save money on our drinks, only to find out they just individually charged us for all of them and never gave us the cooler discount. The thing is that the service was so bad we didn't want to wait another 45 minutes to see our waitress again so we just dipped after paying. The view is pretty but that's the only thing I would say was good about this place. That said, we went at night recently. I would imagine the outdoor games and stuff are fun during the day as like a pregame while you have one maybe two drinks before heading somewhere else. Definitely won't be coming back at night but we are thinking of giving it a second chance on like a Saturday afternoon or something and seeing if it's better. I would give it points for instagramability because the atmosphere is definitely cute (outside, inside was a lot more clubby but also that can be a good thing if that's your vibe) but as of now our experience was mediocre at best and I think the tiktok hype for this place is not really met. read more

Nice experience, the setting was visually appealing, the view wasn't the best option for rooftop, way better options out there. The food tasted good! However, eat before you go! Food comes in very small portions, almost embarrassingly small. Our girlfriends were eating off our plates after finishing their food, and we still had to go grab tacos afterwards because the portions were so small and we were still hungry. Also you have to pay on one check. We went for a friends birthday, and we couldn't split the bill and had to organize one person paying, which was a hassle for our large group. The waiters were not very understanding and seem to think not being able to split a bill is a normal thing. Perhaps they were unwilling to admit that they lack the technology or skill set to develop a system to properly split payments between parties with multiple guest. Perhaps it was a good bucket list experience, but I wouldn't recommend. Never going back. read more

Wow. We had our company holiday party at this venue and the experience was TOP NOTCH. Joshua led the crew with a welcoming spirit playing DJ, game expert and made sure that everyone had what they needed the whole evening. The host with the most! So grateful to have Eraan and Miguel as the bartenders who made me a custom signature cocktails when I asked and always made sure the team stayed hydrated with a smile. They took professionalism to the next level and were so kind. A last shout out to Franny who made sure that I tried each of the passed appetizers and was such a lovely human. I wont forget this team who helped us make our evening memorable. The venue is decorated fun and open for companies to feel comfortable to let loose and create bonds outside the office. Thank you to the staff as I HIGHLY recommend this spot. read more

Experience: Without a reservation, we were able to enter on a Sunday evening. Definitely spontaneous trip. Once we took the elevator up, we were able to sit down and a waiter came up to us to take our orders. Right after we ordered, a hostess said we couldn't sit there and they had us move to the bar. Understandable, so we went to the bar, only to be denied by the bartender saying we couldn't sit there as well. So I told the hostess that and asked if could just walk around and he said "we couldn't". Very confused, I decided to close the check and leave. Parking: Paid street parking is available in front of the business. There is free parking in some parts, but like always, check for signs like permit parking. There is also a paid garage nearby. Worth: I mean if you want to take a photo real quick or just look around, I guess it's worth the visit. As for the service, food, and drinks, I honestly do not think it's worth the hype. I think the best part of the place was the nice bouncer that let us in lol read more

Amazing ambiance. This rooftop spot has the best views, props for instagram worthy pictures, and the drinks aren't bad at all. Upon arriving we had a lovely host that greeted us and got us our table swiftly (we also had a reservation). Our Server Alex was very attentive, warm, and knowledgeable. I enjoyed her banter and hair color. I like that they let their employees express themselves how they want. Speaking of hair color, the manager that talked to our table John, had great blue and green hair and other, was so considerate and engaged with us. I will definitely recommend this place to others. I don't even know where to start, the atmosphere is sick, the food delicious, and the service outstanding. Alex was an amazing waitress, as we had a vegetarian with us and his grilled cheese came out with bacon on it and he ate some before he noticed. So, she brought us all some shots and accommodated the bill appropriately. She was super sweet and nice about the whole situation, and was extremely apologetic. Alex did a great job outside of that even before that incident occurred. Also, the taco chicken salad was our favorite meal (Alex recommendation) and the beer cheese pretzel was great as well.
