    Outdoor patio

Have been to Moneygun numerous times and was super excited to finally checkout Sunny gun this summer. On the weekends, they have DJs line - this completely elevate the vibes at the indoor/ outdoor bar on a summer day. DJ Mochi - one of Chicago's favorite was playing Afrobeats music and a set of throwback on the day/night we went. When we first arrived, we ordered our drinks at the bar. We had a French 75 and margarita from the pre-made mixes. As seen on the picture, there several benches for seating areas as well as high top tables on the furthest right ( stairs area). Facing the sliding doors are chairs with umbrellas very much needed to catch some shade on a sunny summer day. On the patio, there are several servers taking drinks and food orders on the patrons throughout the night. Bella was our server and she took great care of us. Check them out !

If you love Money Gun, then it's no reason you won't love Sunny Gun!! The bright summer vibes will instantly boost your mood walking in. The staff service matches the bar so well, and they make you feel so comfortable as well as giving you suggestions to help you make that perfect decision. The prices are not too bad as well! If it's day time and your not sure of where to go definitively stop here to start your afternoon, you won't be disappointed!

    Smoked Trout French Onion Dip

I had no groceries in my fridge, and needed a bite to eat late Saturday night, so we ended up at Sunnygun which is the sister restaurant of Moneygun with cool desert murals and a vibrant patio. They also have happy hour tuesday-friday from 3-5pm so definitely recommend looking into that. Anyways, Had their Early Sunrise Cocktail which tasted like a tart + citrusy juice. They also have food starting at 5pm by a popup called Food by FAFO. we had their French onion dip with ranch chips, and it usually comes with trout roe but they had whitefish roe today which was still smoky and the French onion dip was incredible, by far my favorite dish I tried there that evening. The wings we had here were decent, they had a sweet heat flavor, but the burger here was solid and juicy. the white American cheese and special sauce really went well togother for a surprisingly mild smoky bite. Overall, good vibes and had some good bar food as well.

Y'all, it's Moneygun but summer time. You can't tell me no one enjoys this. It's got a patio. It's got summer-y cocktails. It's got good music & good vibes. Just do yourself a favor & stop by. I'm sure it'll become a top 5

Abysmal service. It pretty much soured this establishment for me. Their front of house needs some serious customer service training.

Service was top tier. 9.5/10. They genuinely cared about making things right when something went wrong. Our server even covered the forgotten Espresso Martini. The Chocolate Martini (9.5/10) tasted creamy and chocolatey and was dangerously easy to drink. The French Martini (9/10) was fruity and smooth. The Espresso Martini (7/10) was better than a lot I've tried but could've been sweeter and foamier. The Prosecco (9/10) was fantastic. The Fried Chicken Sliders (8/10) were crispy, juicy, and perfectly coated in Nashville hot sauce without being overly spicy or drenched in sauce. The bread was a little firm, which reminded me of Parker house rolls from Trivoli. The Onion Rings (7/10) were crispy and oily with a nice spicy mayo. The Truffle Mafaldine (8/10) was unfortunately room temp, but the al dente pasta, creamy sauce, and truffle bits were heavenly. The Steak & Ale Pot Pie (9/10) was fantastic. Tender brisket, flaky crispy puff pastry, and creamy mash underneath made it feel like short ribs and mash in pie form. The Prime Rib French Dip (8.5/10) had tender, flavorful meat, but the bread was pretty plain and needed more crunch. The Chocolate Layer Cake (6/10) was a little dry and not quite chocolatey enough at first, but it got much better drenched in the hot fudge and paired with the vanilla gelato. Interestingly, when I had the leftover cake straight from the fridge the next morning, it was perfectly moist and much more chocolatey. Overall, great time with amazing cocktails, top-tier service, and solid food. Definitely coming back with a reservation to experience the dining room or library.

I wanted nothing more than to ring in year 45 with a great glass of natural wine... and I walked out having had a 7-glass flight and one of the most memorable evenings of the trip. The bartenders deserve their own star. They weren't just knowledgeable--they were genuinely fun to talk to, the kind of people who make you feel like you've been coming there for years. We went from discussing funky wine profiles to diving deep into '80s horror films, which is absolutely my idea of a perfect tangent. Their enthusiasm and curiosity made the whole experience feel personal and spontaneous. As for the wine: unique, surprising, and delicious, even the pours I didn't expect to enjoy. Good Funk leans into exploration in the best way--nothing feels generic or predictable. Every glass had its own personality, and the flight felt like a curated adventure rather than a lineup. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, stylish without being pretentious, and perfect for either a solo wind-down or a lively night out. It's the kind of place that encourages you to linger, taste one more thing, have one more conversation. Good Funk turned what could've been a quiet, forgettable evening into an unforgettable birthday-eve celebration. If you're in Chicago and love natural wine--or just love a spot with genuine heart--don't miss this place.

(Kari's Rating 8.75/10)…read more Came with a friend late on a Friday night after dinner time We were able to be seated almost immediately at a nice little private Cove table. We ordered a flight of whiskey sours, which contained whiskeys from Japan, Vietnam, and Wisconsin. I also was able to order an amaretto sour, which they made with freshly hand beaten egg whites, which was a nice cherry on the top. As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.

Chicago Winery prioritizes upscale and intimacy but their service is personable and friendly allowing you to feel right at home.
