Lacy did my hair today, cut and style. She did a great job! I love it. She worked with my hair, which is thin and very fine. My hair has been straight all my life, but in the last few years it started to curl just in the back. Try to imagine a haircut that is completely straight on top and sides, but beautiful curls only in the back. It looks so good even though it's mostly straight! So I am get-my-hair-cut-twice a year kinda woman, usually at a budget hair salon chain. I clearly don't care to invest much time or money on my haircare. And now Utopia has wrecked me of my low-brow haircare ways. I took a leap of faith to upgrade my hair cut habits by booking an appt. My stylist was Gillian who spent time getting acquainted with my hair needs and wants. She gave me a killer cut but before that, the shampoo and rinse included a hot towel head massage...SAY WHAT ?!!! I have now decided that I'll get my hair tended to 4x a year and I will gladly spend a few more dollars at Utopia, tho bang trims are free and I am a Bangs Girl for life so there's that perk. Not only was there high customer service, there was also great energy in the whole salon with a sense of community care. If you want to remain anonymous,do not come here. If, however, you are open like me to upgrading your self care and hair needs, and appreciate a highly hospitable environment, consider Utopia which is consistently named the #1 salon in Clark County. I dropped in to see about a hair consultation and not only was I talking with Keanna in 5 minutes and then she decided she could squeeze me into her already busy schedule for a shampoo and cut. I never detected that she was in a hurry, taking her time to make sure the cut was perfect. I learned about all the products and tools she was using but never once was I pressured to buy any. I have begged them to leave me alone for over two years, and have unsubscribed to their emails multiple times, which made them send me more advertisements. They completely ruined my hair to the point that I have had to tie my hair back for the majority of the past two years. If you want your hair completely fried, the color of your hair orange/blonde, and your hair layered to look like steps on a staircase, go to them. Went in for a deep condition, cut and style, with voluminous waist length curly hair. Gillian was my stylist and cut my curly hair beautifully. They gave me instructions on using various curly products and how to deep condition too. I generally cut my hair just above shoulder length and this time I gave them full freedom to cut it short but still be able to tie it all up. No bangs but I got lovely face framing pieces and the back looks gorgeous with many layers. Gillian gave me a dry cut which only curly hair stylists do and it was perfect. Highly recommend Gillian.
