I've been coming here for almost a year now, so I think I'm due for a review. I moved here a little over a year ago & had been looking for a place to get a brazilian wax. It's not my first rodeo getting these, so I knew what to expect. After my first one somewhere else wasn't all that great, I went on a new hunt & found this one that just so happens to be about 5 mins away from where I live. It's a cute place, very clean & organized. I've had waxes by both Kim & Simone & go once a month. They're both do a great job & very nice & I never felt uncomfortable. Pricing is reasonable, so go check them out if you're looking to get waxed. read more

Tiffany is bomb!!!! Second facial w her and I'm sold. She is super sweet and does an amazing job.

Amazing Brazilian wax experience and the results were fantastic. Highly recommend this location. My wax lady was super knowledgeable as well. read more

Amazing service. Very welcoming vibe. Clean salon. Affordable. Kim makes you feel so comfortable during your services. Super informative and wants the best for all her clients. Love our therapy sessions. Highly recommend!! read more

I went to Kim for quite a while and I really liked her services. However she canceled on me several times and with only a few minutes notice each time. She said she would call to reschedule and never did. I still have money from a package I bought and I am just tired of being canceled on that I don't care! Especially after she claimed she had Covid and then waxed my best friend the next day! read more

Horrible experience & waste of money! Totally regret it. I would give Zero Stars if I could. Customer service needs significant improvement and the salon room needs to be properly cleaned please. I've been to various spas and salons and this was by far the dirtiest and least professional. Definitely not someone I would recommend to my friends, the public, or even someone I didn't like. UPDATE: the owner harassed me via text and told me that my honest review on yelp of her salon is a form of bullying. It's called freedom of speech. Clean up your salon and work on customer service . I also had to block her to stop texting me. This is really weird and not professional. ----Now I'm being contacted on Yelp after blocking her on text---- next update will most likely be me having to file a harassment report ANNOUNCEMENT - I have taken legal action and filed a Police report for harassment. I'm a married young mother of 3 young children who is very easy going ands gets along well with almost everyone. I've gone to many business , met many people, but have never had such a horrific experience with an individual. Bullying and harassing me via text and on various apps is unacceptable- especially at this lady's age. She should be focusing on self improvement, business, or grandkids if she has any . I refused to be attacked or bullied and will always stand up for myself and will teach the same to my children. - Jan 2019 - So basically the owner waited a month to explain that her bad energy and horrible costumer service was due to "not clicking" with me and "having a bad feeling". Not to mention sprinkling in a few non truths... :/ ....(but she knows that) No wonder I felt uneasy when I came into the salon! Doesn't sound like professional behavior for a business owner to randomly target a new client and decide they don't like them. Then to use that as an excuse to create an uncomfortable atmosphere and treat the client in a rude and non accommodating manner is just strange. Additionally, the peach analogy doesn't apply here- I didn't write this review due to not liking the owner personally. I wrote this honest review because of my very unsatisfactory experience in this salon as well as her lackluster customer service skills and unacceptable harassment. I came into this salon with an open mind, peaceful energy, and the trust that I put into this owner. I never expected I would have to call the Police to have them stop harassing me... It's not my goal to try to hurt a business- only speak my truth and offer advice: I sincerely wish things had went better ... & I hope no one else experiences what I did and that the owner is able to grow to become more professional, compassionate, and understanding towards her future new clients as well as let go of any underlying prejudices she may have had towards me that caused her to act in such a manner. I wish her well- now let's move on to better things! Thanks Happy 2019 & Goodluck ! read more

Skin Works Etc - She keeps trying to contact me after I blocked her on text and told her to stop. This is weird :/ now she's texting me on YELP - Waxing Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

Kim does a really great job! We had a bit of a miscommunication due to an error on the part of Groupon, but she cleared it up right away. After that, scheduling was super easy. Kim is very thorough with her microdermabrasion work, which I really appreciated! She offered some beauty advice/instruction, but I was still able to relax as she wasn't chatting the entire time either. She seems very knowledgeable, and the results were great! Thank you Kim! read more

Glad it worked for someone else! Sadly not for me... I had an allergic reaction after the facial, then I thought the redness after extraction is normal, so I really didn't give a second thought until almost a week later when I discovered it's not getting better. To be frank, I'm a bit disappointed in Kim's response. I could explain to Kim a bit better myself (had a friend texting her instead cuz she is fan of her service) that the reaction appeared a lot sooner, that my skin is very stable and had very few active acne at the time of my service. However I lost interest in even communicating. I don't need a refund, no apology needed regardless of the fault. The least I ask for from my esthetician is to show some sympathy. As someone who invest a lot of money and time in my skin care, what I wish I heard at a time of suffering was simply "sorry to hear that you are suffering, however...blabla... this is what would help to get better..." not that I should get my home care in order :) At the end of the day though, skin is all about trial and error. Even if this experience didn't work for me, still glad that I tried! read more

Skin Works Etc - Kim's response - Waxing Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

Kim is awesome. She has a great energy and her depth of knowledge shows in her work. She answered all of my questions and explained the necessary home care I would need to purchase to get the best results. As she said, "Your use of home care makes the treatment more effective." She knows her business. I can't argue with the success of her previous clients, one of which recommended me to her while I was visiting Washington. I have seen impressive results. I can not recommend her more. I cannot post my before and after photos due to the intimate nature of the treatment but I can tell you you are in good hands. Kim is a true professional. read more

Absolutely an amazing experience! Everything was so clean, beautiful and organized. Top notch experience! I had dermaplaning and oxygen mask. Great services and prices for waxing! Love coming here. I have been going for over two years

I was referred to Kim by another one of her loyal clients who raves about her amazing work. Kim did not disappoint! She is very knowledgeable, professional and has great conversation. I get Brazilian wax services done by her monthly and her work is great. I've gone to other salons where every one of my Brazilian wax appointments are like 30-45 minutes of continuous pain--but with Kim, she is super fast but very gentle & my appointments are usually 20 minutes. Super convenient. I recommend Kim to anyone looking for a esthetician specializing in waxing! read more

Tiffany the speedwaxer! Fantastic job!!!

Amazing, professional, affordable, clean and friendly! What more could you ask for. I felt safe and protected for my entire service. Kim thoroughly explained the process of my treatment before we started and made sure I was comfortable throughout. She even recommended the best home care to enhance my service experience at home. She has great bedside manner and I truly believe I have found my new go-to spot. I'm not sure why anyone would give her less than 5 stars as her services exceeded my expectations and her knowledge is impressive. If you're looking for a service provider who is professional, friendly and accommodating this is the place to go! read more

Kim's business is located in a small, friendly multipurpose shop in downtown Vancouver - loads of parking, central location. She always greets you in a welcoming manner, genuinely happy to see you. I've had several procedures done by her--arm waxes to microneedling to jelly facials (which *rock*). Her prices are affordable and reasonable. She's always kind, professional, thorough and personable. I recommend Kim to all my friends for skin services. read more

Had my first experience in this salon with Jacky (leg wax) whom was friendly and personable, and professional. Would definitely book again. Second experience was with Tiffany whom was also very friendly, personable and professional. Really enjoyed my visit (leg wax, eyelash lift) Tiffany was more than accommodating and kind and I am planning to book again. Loved the final result of lash lift/tint and am so happy this place is in my neighborhood! read more

Kim is the best! Comfortable atmosphere. Very clean place. Top notch service!

I've been to Vancouver several times to visit my sister. We got services by Kim and I have to say this was the best microdermabrasion facial I have ever gotten. Kim is so real and professional too. She immediately made me feel at ease. Her suite is so clean and inviting. She has a great touch too, the facial felt amazing. I'll be back next time I'm in Vancouver. Thanks Kim! read more

I have had a few different treatments here and have always had a great experience. Kim is great. Tiffany is terrific. Tiffany is working with me to create the best process for my aging face and specific needs. This is the first time I've invested the time, effort and investment in me. I'm excited to try other services they provide as my anti aging journey continues. As someone who works in healthcare and is masking etc daily, Skin Works is doing a phenomenal job with COVID-19 restrictions and safe practices. read more

0 stars if I could. The lady had no personality and the room looked very unkept. I regret not backing out once noticing these red flags. Sometime after the service I started feeling dizzy and nauseous. I thought it may have been from the chemicals she used . Afterwards she informed me that she recently had a virus and I most likely caught it from her. I was also scammed and extra $41. So basically I went in to a dirty salon with a random lady to provide a service with zero results, have a negative health reaction, and charged an extra $41 that I now have to dispute with my credit card company. I don't normally write nagative reviews but I felt like I should warn the public. Spend your money elsewhere. BEWARE! read more

Kim, is professional first and an instant girlfriend once the process starts.
