I love that this branch is named for 2 fallen local heros. This is my local post office and I use it regularly. Dropping off bills that I'm mailing out, sending packages to my kids who live out of state, and even renewed my passport here the last time I needed it. Had a bad experience with them recently, and it became clear to me that these people do NOT care about their job. It seems all they care about it looking for a finger to point the blame to. This was 100% my personal experience, but they clearly messed up on my delivery. Gave me the wrong door tag, name, and everything. This package was completely lost in their system and nobody seemed to know what to do about it. I had to come back to this place THREE TIMES before I got this situation finally figured out. Yes, I figured it out, I had to do their job for them. And even after I finally figured out what went wrong (which was that I was given a wrong tracking / door tag), I could see and hear the lady verbally berating and blaming me. Talking to me as if I was some kind of scammer or package thief who had someone else tracking number. The wrong tracking number was put on my door tag, how is that my fault? And I figured out this whole situation after going out of my way for three days to come back to this post office and check up on it. So instead of them admitting fault and accepting that they had given me the wrong info, instead, the lady seemed to be personally blaming me and possibly even insinuating that I was some kind of scammer for trying to track down a package that wasn't mine. I think what made this whole situation even worse was that this was all done loudly, in front of a line of people waiting behind me. So now, everyone in that room probably thought I was up to no good. So the moral of the story is that these people really don't seem to care about finding your package or getting to the bottom of the situation. They really just seem to want to find the quickest and easiest way to point their finger at someone else! Even at the expense of being embarrassed in front of an entire crowd of people. Post office located here in Yorba Linda on Eureka Avenue right next to Richard Nixon library between Yorba Linda and imperial Avenue. This post office has a very good drive-through you can drop off also has a pretty fast efficient location I came in for a passport was perfect. Staff is friendly everything was nice parking space pretty much plentiful, good location if you haven't been to your local post office, just check them out help them out. These guys are excellent. Get it together USPS! We went out of town last weekend so we had our mail put on hold to be delivered on following Monday because of rampant mail theft in Yorba Linda. I have informed delivery so I see every piece of mail I was supposed to receive which included bills and a birthday card with a check inside. Monday comes-that mail never shows up. By Wed I report the incident to USPS and they say someone will investigate (per my official email from Kari Parkhurst) Ok. No return call. Zero follow up. Thursday comes and I go to the post office myself and there is my mail JUST SITTING THERE. I say, why wasn't this delivered to me??? "I don't know." All they had to do was look at the "hold mail" and see this should have been delivered. This is why USPS is going bankrupt...employees just don't care. read more

I dropped off a certified mail one time and the man who helped me was very nice. I had the slip filled out and wanted to adhere it to my envelope in front of them. He was telling me I could save some money and have tracking without doing certified, just priority, but I insisted on certified for certain reasons. It was appreciated he was concerned but he probably did not know the contents of what was being mailed, which was why he made the suggestion. For my visit, the shelves were stocked and the wait wasn't too long. I would probably go here again, but the primary reason for my visit that day was their business hours opened earlier than nearby which worked for my schedule, so this was my top pick. If I go midday, then I would probably go to a closer one. The parking is very good as there are many parking spaces and they are not those tiny compact slanted ones I have seen at other USPS--I parked in the spots closest to the building which are not slanted. Like every one's complain would be dismissed by USPS. But I still want to say something about this maybe the newest and most beautiful building I have ever been as a USPS. The parking lot is big too But again, the stuff is not that good. The guy who is in charge of the passport is good and helpful. Some lady employee here is not that good. this is post office is beyond, rude, incompetent, lazy and unconcerned about customer service. the right hand does not talk to the left and the 3 employess i worked with could have careless. even the people in the line were making coments. i asked for a supervisor multiple times from 3 different employees and each time they ignored me and talked over me. once they got ahold of the post master, he told them to do what i needed done but the nasty employee told me to go to the back of the line i had already waited in. i will and would avoid this office at all costs. it's really sad this office lives up to the "goverment employee" stereotype of "we are getting paid either way, we don't care about you." having people in these jobs that are so unproffesional and not having the abilty to fill these jobs with reps willing to do their job without pulling teeth. i specifically worked wiith ahn, verretta, and fabian. all should be fired for how they treated me and my husband and honestly the other people in line as well. i get why people hate the post office now. and i'm sure their will be no-recourse for any of these worthless, rude, lazy employees. read more

These guys deserve 5 stars. Whenever I go here, which was often in my lounge clothes since I'm really comfortable in our neighborhood, regardless I would get the same service with everyone else as they are ALWAYS respectful. They are not hard to talk to when you have concerns and they try their best to resolve and assist us on issues. Sometimes I feel bad for them when the line gets a little long because I feel like the oldie ones works harder and even faster as they can while catching their breaths just so they can serve all the clients right away, yet I never hear them complain nor grunt about it. Also, I'm confident to submit important papers through them as I know they actually read where it's supposed to go and it always gets on the right track on time. read more

My experience with the US Post Office is unacceptable! My 2 small boxes weighing 4# each were mailed on Dec.7th, so there was plenty of time for them to arrive before Xmas. I was not made aware the packages were being sent any different than usual way--First Class or Priority. When mailed the clerk said would be there on Dec.15, before Xmas, acceptable. I became alarmed when they didn't arrive.I was concerned they were lost or damaged? Found out they were in Springfield, MA since Dec.17 and never left. Later found out they had been sent Retail Ground, which I know nothing about? I was under a lot of stress, because these were my little Grand Children's Xmas gifts. They were upset because I always mail early and thought I had forgotten them. The 2 boxes finally arrived in Maine on Dec.26 and that was a total of 19 days from Dec.7. I paid an outrageous amount of $47.80 for 2 small #4 boxes. I should be refunded for full amount to take 19 days and not arrive before Xmas. I have always used the satellite PO in B&B pharmacy of which never had a problem and Martha was always very helpful and friendly. They are not there anymore. I have lived in Yorba Linda for over 53 years and feel uncomfortable to mail anything using the post office. I have made my friends aware of my experience and they are concerned about using the US Post Office for mailing packages. read more

We do not go into the office much but we do use this post office to mail important letters. Not any more. In the past 6 months we have mailed two rent checks and one bill for our garbage services that have not made it to their destinations on time. The rent check was mailed in Yorba Linda to a Anaheim Hills address and it took more than a week and a half to be delivered? The most recent rent check was mailed on 10/30 and still hasn't made it. Now the bill for waste management has not made it and we are being penalized. What the heck? The bar is set pretty low for any government agency but this is ridiculous. Needless to say, we won't be using the Eureka Ave. Post Office any longer!!! read more

I sell things off Mercari, so naturally the post office is usually the cheapest to ship items out. I usually opt to do the parcel drop box to skip the lines, however this is the 4th time the YL post office has lost my Mail. This is costing me money at this point when I should be making it. And if it's not lost this one will take an extra week to even get the package out and scanned. It's not fun trying to explain that to customers. I do not seem to have this same issue with any of the other post offices in the area, I'm really not sure what is going on with this one. Last week I dropped off two packages in the parcel box together, it took 3 days for one to scan and the other is still missing and not scanned. I don't understand how that happens and I'm getting sick of it. I've had issues with this post office even since before covid slowing things down. read more

I came here to send out something in the mail and asked the only attendant what type of packaging would be most appropriate to send it in. She was helpful, but a little bit rude in terms of word choice and tone of voice. It's not that big of a deal if you're just there to send out some mail, so just get the job done and move on with your day. read more

I work at a store locally in Yorba Linda and the other day our Post Man delievered the mail and packages. As he was coming to the store I saw a package fall out of his arms and instead of putting the other boxes on the ground to pick up one he dropped. He goes right ahead and kicks it through the door and proceeds to kick it until he gets to the counter. I asked him was it neccesary to kick it. His response was I couldn't pick it up my arms are full. I even had a few customers who saw this happen and they couldn't believe their eyes. read more

Contrary to many government buildings, this USPS is actually a decent place to visit. The staff is nice, and it's always a plus when the workers are patient with my ineptitude in packaging material. I never dread going here, and that's saying a lot! read more

Had an issue and went to the post office in Walnut and thought they wouldn't care but the Lady who helped me was so nice and went way above and beyond. Don't think because it's a large organization that they don't care, they have individual people who work and live in the community that care. read more

Wonderful staff. Great help. Would recommend. Except for the sales associate worker. Charged me a parcel price for what was clearly a non-machinable letter price. No wonder the USPS is in financial trouble - there are a bunch of incompetent people working there. Our mail carrier continues to deliver the wrong mail to my address and give my mail to my neighbor. I've called numerous times and get the Postmaster's promise it will change. Well it doesn't. How hard is it to read an address? The Yorba Linda, CA post office is the absolute WORST!!! I signed up for the informed delivery so every morning I get an e-mail showing the pieces of mail that will be delivered to me on that day. On Friday, Dec. 13th I received none of MY mail - just my neighbor's mail...and they had received somebody else's mail! We went up and down the block and found just 2 pieces of our mail - the rest is still missing. On Saturday, Dec. 14th there was no mail delivery at all...we kept checking our box until 10 PM...nothing!!! We were expecting some important pieces of mail, including checks, and the informed delivery e-mail showed them as coming on Friday and Saturday.....Dec. 13th and Dec. 14th, 2019. Disgusting service...the delivery people are not the brightest bulbs in the box...how difficult is it to read numbers??? The address where we found our mail on Friday is not even remotely close to the numbers on our house!!! And the fact that they did not even attempt to deliver mail on our street tells me that they don't care about their jobs...civil servants who barely speak English and certainly can't read English!!! When I used to get no mail before the informed delivery e-mails, they used to tell us that we had no mail that day...they'll probably try to say the same thing when we go into the post office on Monday to complain, not knowing that we saw what we were supposed to have delivered from our e-mail. We're always getting other people's mail. We've had packages that, according to the tracking code, were delivered but we never received them. If you call, the phone often rings and rings. I don't use my home mailbox for outgoing mail because I don't trust that mail will reach its intended destination. What is so frustrating is that we don't have a choice as far as who delivers our mail. We're at the mercy of this incompetent office. USPS needs to check in with this location. read more

my package was not delivered to my address so after waiting three days. it finally showed up as delivered back to this post office. after waiting 10 minutes in line, i was appointed to stand in front of a brown door and wait another 25 minutes. while there, an employee informed me that the manager was on the phone but could not break his phone call within the 25 minutes of us waiting, to let us know. waiting 35 minutes and still not receiving a response from anybody regarding why there was an issue with the delivery. it's absurd. i will be taking further action regarding their negligence and ignorance. read more
