I was supposed to have received a package on saturday May 30th at 246pm. I have the the mailman on camera scanning something next to my car and not in front of the mailbox like he said. AND, Just because he scanned a package does not mean he ACTUALLY put the package in the mailbox. I needed that package for eye surgery. And the post office told me, Oh well, there is nothing they could do because the mailman scanned the package. and the mailman said he scanned the package but didnt say he put it in the box. read more

If I could give this post office zero stars I would. On Black Friday, we ordered AirPods from Amazon. Amazon handed the package off to USPS who was in possession of the package from the very beginning, with this post office handling it for days. When I went to our mailbox to grab our package I noticed instantly that it was light as air - literally - the box was completely empty. Somebody within the post office opened the package, stole the AirPods, and taped it shut again with clear packaging tape. This type of theft is a known issue with this particular post office. Two years ago, I dropped off a hefty disability paperwork packet for our daughter - her social security number on every page. The packet never left the post office despite me paying for it to be mailed certified. We have also received greetings cards that have been opened - I'm sure somebody was hoping to find cash or a gift card. The postmaster general could care less and the manager at the post office claims that she is incapable of stopping this type of criminal behavior. People in our community have had checks washed and rewritten and far more valuable items stolen. It's a shame because I'm sure that there are a handful of good, upstanding employees who work there, however, many others are criminals committing a federal crime with their mail tampering and theft. read more

Customer service. Had an appointment to get passports for my wife myself and my 3 children the woman helping us was too busy looking at paperwork to help most of the time. After she took our photos we were standing at the counter when she told me "take your children over there I have no room " all though there's a 4' deep countertop separating us. My 13 year old daughter wanted to stay with my wife because she is a very Inquisitive young lady the woman behind the counter insisted multiple times for her to back away from the countertop for some unknown reason. Mail carrier is marking packages and mail delivered and then is not actually delivering the item. She claims she misdelivered and supposedly "finds" the package sometimes. Some items are never recovered including high value items. Once is an accident. Multiple incidents shows intent. The residents along postal carrier's route in Severn, Maryland, out of this location continue to be victimized and nothing is being done to stop suspected mail theft and tampering. If you are a victim or know someone who is, 1. file an online police report with the AA Co. PD. 2. File a report requesting an investigation with the USPIS online. 3. File a complaint for missing mail on the USPS.com website. 4. Send a written complaint to the USPS Consumer Advocate 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW Washington DC 20260-0004. This location is amazing, specifically the staff! Multiple times I've needed help and they are always fast and friendly. Today I needed help with a passport and I was little nervous. Multiple ladies helped me and finished everything before the scheduled appointment time! I was so grateful. Then they helped another customer shipping birds! Craziest thing and they did it all with a smile and talking about their pets. 10/10 read more

Don't get your passport here. The self-proclaimed "passport rep" has zero customer service skills, was rushing ALL customers regardless of their needs, asking questions and talking over you while you try to answer, no eye contact, no compassion, and gets very defensive if you try to address it. You're better off going to another acceptance facility. read more

Consistently slow service. Lunchtime today 6 or 7 people in line, only one clerk on duty with no apparent sense of urgency. At least 2 of us gave up and left. I went instead to the UPS Store in Severna Park and got immediate service. I did not realize until today that the UPS Store does certified mail and other post office functions. This post office branch is particularly excellent at telling you they cannot find a package, decide (even though you have tracking proof) that the package never arrived, decide not to sort or deliver important mail such as bills so you have late charges and are out of the postage stamp you need. Complaining to a manager is impossible because they are never available. Unfortunately, I have stopped using the USPS for packages because you can't be assured it will arrive at it's destination which cost you an arm and a leg. Hopefully they'll get some employees that want to sort the mail/packages and deliver them on a timely basis. How sad. read more

This post office could be the worst. I have had several packages go missing...after the businesses have tracked them, from their end, to this location. So...there has been confirmation that my latest package made it to this location (like others before this one) but then mysteriously disappeared once it arrived. When I went to inquire about my missing package all I got was circle talk about tracking numbers, which I had, and "call our phone number", which I have done only to have it ring a hundred times with no answer. Zero help with no accountability to the fact that the package was physically in that building...but now no one can tell me where it has gone. read more

On February 5, 2021 I went to the Severna Park post office as I live in Severna Park because I received tax information mail addressed to an individual from Arnold MD yesterday. I gave the mail to the only post office employee at the counter at the time(maybe because it was lunch time) and requested that it be sent to Arnold and to have my mail carrier notify of this wrong delivery so it would not happen again. The employee stated it might be UPS faults(?). So I stated so you can't let my mail carrier know and the employee did not respond to me and told me to have a nice day. The line always had at least 5 to 7 customers waiting and the employee had to take pictures for a passport and process the passport application it during this time period. read more

I love my mail carrier and most of her substitutes and ones in the past I had for years and years. "V" is efficient, dedicated to her job and service and a bright spot in my day during these extraordinary times. I like most of the staff at the Post Office and have had constant communication w Patrice. My priority mail express envelope that I mailed from the self serve kiosk never arrived in Denver. They told me it was never scanned from the Magothy station on July 5th. I know I put it in the chute and they have been looking for it they say but continue to NOT call me back to say it's lost and they don't answer the phone! This Post Office is located behind Earleigh Hgts Volunteer Fire Dept. Since it's the only location left in Severna Park (the other location closed), it tends to get pretty busy around lunch time and after 3:30pm. Be sure to utilize the "Self Serve Kiosk", as it's easy and saves you time that would've otherwise been spent in line. The kiosk is also awesome for sending letters and packages after hours. read more

Kudos to Anthony at the Severna Park 21146 post office. I ordered a gift for my granddaughter and it was scheduled to be delivered by 8 pm on Saturday. Unfortunately, the party is this afternoon. I called the post office and Anthony contacted the driver who was just about to leave the facility with my present. The driver was kind enough to take the package off his truck and place it for pick up at the customer window. The driver and Anthony just made my day and my 4 year old granddaughter's birthday too. There is NOT ONE person working here who gives the slightest impression of caring about 1. anybody 2. their job 3. customer service. You will be made to wait while the employees finish gossiping among themselves, sharing anecdotes about who should not have been invited to the party, etc. Only then will they make rolling eye contact with anyone trying to get postal business done. I have, on multiple occasions, put mail on hold while traveling. It's straightforward. You notify them of the date to stop delivery, the date to resume, and whether you want to pick it up or have it delivered. Four times out of five they have gotten it wrong. Delivered a box of mail and packages on my doorstep to sit there for 24 hours before I got home (alert, porch thieves! here's the loot!). Kept delivering mail a week past the date I asked (and they confirmed) to stop. The time I said I would come pick it up at the office, I was told it was not there..."your carrier must have delivered it". So I went back home to check, and find he/she had, indeed NOT. Called the postmaster and complained, and he said "it's here in the office, ready to be picked up". TWENTY MINUTES AFTER the incompetent, rude, eye-rolling, slow-as-molasses-moving female clerk told me it was NOT there. Not just told me, but when I reminded her I had asked for it to be HELD, responded with "I don't know what to tell you", and another eye roll. And the sorters/carriers/handlers? They obviously don't realize that if you live at house #864, the rest of the address is irrelevant...just deliver to #864 anystreet. Anyname. As long as you get the house number right, how bad can it be? You mean you actually expect us to READ the address? AND deliver? AND be right most of the time?! If only we had a choice of post offices. If only people hired to do a job would do it. And save the attitude for their endless rush-hour breaks. read more

I am a Pasadena resident who lives smack in between the two Pasadena post offices. After long lines, years of dealing with a broken automated machine and drop drawer I drive all the way to this post office for everything. It is clean, well managed and the service is excellent! Tonight I walked in while Kylia was giving free lessons on the automated machine to customers and she kindly helped me with my parcel. She is outstanding and deserves a promotion. Maybe she should manage one of the Pasadena locations. They surely need some high caliber help. Do not waste your time going anywhere but here. Pasadena ~ get it together. read more

These ladies were so nice and helped me right away and made a frustrating situation into a positive experience. I have struggled with my Pasadena post office, which is is conveniently down the street from my house. I am making masks and mailing them to front line people. I mailed about 50 of them using the self serve before I had a problem. I use 4x6" bubble envelopes and the postage is usually $1.00 to $1.20 per envelope. One had a card in it which made it rigid (which then requires more postage) it was mailed with 4 other pieces, so they all came back. The thing was, only one needed extra postage, but because they all have the same packaging with the same writing, the lady pulled them out and sent them back to my house. I made sure they followed code and put it back in the mail slot with 2 more. I received those plus the other ones I sent back the next day. Apparently the Pasadena lady was trying to ruin someone's day. I took them over to the Severna Park office which, by the way, was WAAAAAY cleaner and kept more organized than the Pasadena one. I walked out with a smile and a new place for my packages. Thank you Severna Park!!! read more

This is a terrible post office, service is bad, they ran out of post card stamps when I needed them, and they sent out someone to install a cluster mailbox for our new neighborhood, and they put it up backwards. When I called to complain it was installed backwards they asked if that really was a problem. They are rude and stupid and I will drive to another post office before using this one again. read more
