If YELP offered the opportunity to do zero stars, this place would probably be zero. First off, I'm trying to be better about not being sassy to people that are sassy to me that work in customer service, but some days I just don't succeed. Before writing this review, I searched through some other reviews of this location and it seems as though the lady I had an issue with has already been pictured and named and several other reviews. This tells me that she is a habitual problem at this location. First off, this location is always busy, it doesn't matter if it's 9 AM or 2 PM. It's always packed. There are so many people waiting for passports, dropping off packages, or doing money orders. I think the main problem is that it's severely understaffed. I also think that the problem is that people are not happy with their jobs and at this point most likely unhappy in their lives in general. So, I went to drop off three packages. Two of the packages needed to be paid for. This particular woman was so rude and looked at me as though I was a complete idiot. At one point I was so tired of her being sassy that I responded, sorry, I don't know how things work. I don't work for the Postal Service; to which she replied, " well we clearly see that." Then, when I asked her for specific information, she was very put off and it was as though I was asking a question unrelated to her job. Overall, I do get that they are understaffed and I do get that. It's really busy and dealing with the public is not always easy, but Lord knows that this lady might need to find another job if she really hates the public. I will say one good thing about her. She does make the line go by quite fast, although she completely talks down to people of all ages and races while doing so. I guess another quality is that she doesn't discriminate; she's just a huge queen bee to everyone. Overall, if you can avoid going to this location, please do. As soon as I got in the car, I said a Hail Mary for this lady because hopefully she doesn't catch somebody else that's in a bad mood or maybe I don't really care. Worst post office customer service ever . Black African ladies are so rude . I don't know why they have them working there . They hate there job so much and it tells . All customers have the same comments over and over about them . They are rude and ugly attitude acting like there at home . I hope they see this review and know they should quit there job . I was contacted by the postal office that my package had arrived to the facility. I arrived immediately after the call at 4:59, but when I arrived, the lady immediately said they were closed. She later stated that she would meet me after her shift insinuating she was going to fight me after I pleaded for the package, as I had been waiting for more than two weeks for its arrival. Went here to pick up my package and the rude lady at the counter told me to get it at the side door, so I went to the side door buzz the ringer and waited for 15 minutes. I buzzed 3 consecutive times to no avail. I went back to the counter only to find out that they're just ignoring the buzzing sound and the other lady who wasn't there the first time was just sitting in front of the computer acting busy. The lady at the front is rude. There was no tape for priority boxes or scissors. She handed me tape so I taped it up and left the tape on the box due to no scissors and the she told me to use the one pen to cut the tape. The service here is extremely poor. I arrived at 9am this morning, the posted opening time. There was a line, yet they opened late. The postal lady was screaming instructions, but she couldn't be understood. You would expect the clerks to promptly begin servicing customers, but no; nobody was at the counter. Then, one sloowww clerk came up and counted out his till...waiting...waiting. A man came in without a mask just to get his POB contents. Another clerk rudely shouted at him to get a mask, even though she had NO MASK. This place is broken, sadly, and it seems like nobody in management cares. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would... went in earlier today to mail a package and after looking around, they literally have no usps packaging. I waited in line, the person in front of me was pleasant to the usps employee, but she got slight attitude back and was condescending. When it was my time to be assisted at the counter, I was met with attitude. When I advised I'd go to another post office, no change or apology. I get people have bad days, but this is a customer service position and as such, she was the face of the usps. Black lady was very rude to the customers. She asked if anyone was dropping off a package with a QR code, which I didn't have a QR code. Then later she was acting like I was stupid when she told me I should have just dropped it off when she shouted it out. If I could rate this office I would give it a zero. I arrived to my appointment that I scheduled online early. The lady at the front as soon as she saw me with my documents in hand loudly just announced that no one should be there for passport appointments. That they should have informed us of a supposed cancellation. I never received an email nor a call about any type of cancellation hence why I still arrived to my appointment. Another lady that was there asked for a supervisor and she just said that they were busy. To call a number ( the number was a an expedited service only) . That's all she could tell us she knew nothing else. My husband got out of Work today so that we could get this taken care of and the fact that we weren't able to do anything about keeping our appointments is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed and upset. What's the point of making an appointment and arrangements and then it gets cancelled with no notification. How is this post office allowed to operate? Every time that I have visited here to conduct business, the employees have an "I don't care" attitude. Frequently there are long lines, sometimes out the door. Nevertheless, the employees chitter-chatter and seem to care little about customer service. If you want something mailed out, which is probably why you'd come to a post office, I wouldn't come here. It's also always packed with a line out the door. This could very well be the worst post office in the country, or at the very least in the state of Texas. I guess I shouldn't be surprised how long the wait is and how inefficient the workers are. After all...they are government workers, and they are never efficient. I swear, every time I have to go to a post office or the DMV it amazes me how terrible the government operates, and I think to myself, "some people actually want the government to run our healthcare system???" Here's why this post office is the worst: Occasionally I need to have things mailed for my business, and so I try to go either mid morning or mid afternoon to miss the noon rush. Honestly, at this location it doesn't matter when you go...there is always a line because it is understaffed and the employees behind the register really don't care to help you. What's odd is that there are usually one or two employees helping people in line to make sure that they have everything they need by the time they get to the register. While that's nice in theory...If they were doing their jobs, then the lines would fly. But they don't! Quite often, there are four or five people in line in front of me with only one or two (there is a total of only 3 registers) open and the other two employees, instead of getting behind a register to help out, just keep saying "sorry for the wait everyone, they'll be right with you, just be a little more patient"...it's soooo frustrating. I hope anyone who reads this will learn from my pain and just go to the ups store instead. read more

We need to start a petition ASAP to privatize the USPS!! The USPS relies on fees and postage sales for operation expenses. However, their personnel is employed by the government and like any government agency, their operations are inefficient, their staff is lazy, rude, and they get away with unprofessional behavior that wouldn't be tolerated in private companies. This is why I think we should have options!! At this particular post office rude staff have a secure job! Anywhere else, they would have been fired for being unfriendly, slow, and getting to work late. Their lazy mail delivery people leave my mail hanging from the mailbox because he is too busy holding his phone and chatting away! My mail has gotten thorn, blown away, and damaged by rain, because the delivery person doesn't bother to stick it all the way in my mail box. Oftentimes, my neighbors' mail is delivered at my house and I can only imagine that my lost mail has ended up at the wrong address too! I have used three methods, simultaneously, to put mail on hold: online, in person, and by phone! Yet my mail still gets delivered. Even when I make it clear that I will pick up my mail, it gets delivered during the time they were supposed to hold it for me! Complaint after complaint, nothing changes! I arrived early because I was trying to catch the carriers before they left for delivery. I had a package that had been sent back due to an incomplete address. The lady at the counter was very accommodating. She went back to look for the package and found it. Everyone there seemed nice. Avoid the USPS 77009 Cavalcade location if possible. The workers are control freaks, rude, and work as slow as possible. No sense of customer service or urgency for them. If you comply, then they might call you honey or baby or have a few minutes long chat with you while the line stays 8 people deep. After waiting for 25 minutes, I decided to leave. The customer service at this post office is a prime example of why the USPS is struggling to remain a viable option for shipping goods. I came here to pick up a package and to ask why a hold mail order I had submitted was not being followed (another example of poor quality). I arrived at the post office five minutes prior to opening, and started to wait. Ten minutes later a postal worker finally opened the door to the counter (five minutes late). After getting in line, the single postal clerk on duty advised that anyone picking up a package would need to leave the line and go to a side service door for help. From that point, I and my fellow customers waited for FORTY MINUTES to finally get someone to open the door and help. Repeated ringing of the bell brought no response (although we could hear laughing on the other side), and finally after someone banged on the door and yelled for the door to be opened did we finally get helped. This is completely unacceptable for a service oriented "business." Had this been a private business they would have long since lost their clientele. Unfortunately we don't get to choose our post office. This post office needs to be "fired" for their poor service and quality.
