This review is for the U.S. Postal Passport Services located at the Kempsville Post Office branch…read more The branch is right off Kempsville Rd with parking in front for the office, but parking for passport is to the side. Customers will need to drive in back to enter. The lot is huge and signage is over the door. Of note this is the only passport service on the Southside. Appointments are highly recommended, but when slow they will take walk-in. Customers can compete forms online or in person. Check or debit card appear to be the only two forms of payment. Cash was not discussed however. There is plenty of seating as the area is spacious. Two agents were working and luckily caught at a slow weekday. The wait was short, the process easy and the customer service exceptional. My daughter who is 18 will have her passport in around six weeks. She also opted for a second form of ID the passport card. It's the size of a drivers license. It's somewhat newer. You can bring your own photo of official size, or opt for the agent to take. If picky bring your own, the photo for my daughter came out extremely light. My experiences with the post office have been average to weak, so this is a huge bump in confidence for the U.S. Postal Service. Also of mention for those that need documentation they can obtain online through Vital Check. I requested a Yelp edit to add passport services. Full 5 stars.

I am 80 years old and have a 19-year-old daughter who is a US Navy Sailor. Today, I want to send a…read moreletter to Facebook because I don't know if anyone can hear my small voice. As an old father who misses his daughter when she is away, I often write letters and send gifts to my daughter to soothe her longing, but I did not expect that this time, my daughter has been tortured several times and only receives promises but still haven't received the gift box while I'm writing these words! The gift box arrived in Norfolk just over a week ago. (Please see Post Office Receipt). One day, my daughter will have to go abroad; I don't know how long it will be before my daughter receives a letter from his old father. This story reminds me of the days in the Viet Cong labor camp when South Vietnam collapsed in 1975. As an officer of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, I was forced to do hard labor for more than five years in the camp's distant forest. On the day my father passed away, six months later, I received a letter from my family telling me the sad news! I hope my beloved daughter will receive news from her family faster and won't be as unhappy as me! Respectfully and Salute. Kiet Anh Vo PLEASE HELP!!!!

Certainly too much to pack in our luggage for the return trip home. My sister works for the Post Office back in Jersey, and she told me what size box to ask for. Well...the office we were at, unfortunately, didn't have the size box that my sister suggested. The Clerk there however (didn't catch her name), took the time to weigh the content of what I wanted to ship and then suggested the best way for me to send it. Basically, saved me a bunch of money. It was just wonderful to find such awesome customer service at a Governmental Agency. This lady pretty much bent over backwards to assist me. All I can say is Thank You very much. I wish my Post Office back home offered such good customer service...
