This review is for U.S. Passport Services. I completed my paperwork in advance and brought a check for the fee as a credit card is not permitted. This must be one of the oldest post offices in Norfolk built in 1961. It looks its age too! There is plenty of parking. I went to the 2461 Little Creek Post Office around 3:15pm today to ask about a package that had been stuck on "Out for Delivery" for two days. The woman at the front desk was kind and helpful, but when she went to the back to speak with who has now been identified as my mail carrier (a man last name Corbett on Route 20), things took a shocking turn. Instead of simply clarifying the situation, he started yelling from behind a partition that I was lying about not receiving my package and claimed his scanner was "broken" when he delivered the package on the 24th. When I calmly pointed out that I did not in fact get a package on delivery on the day he claimed and why would I lie about that? He then continued to shout at me repeatedly to "shut yo mouth." I was left shaken, in tears, and honestly in disbelief that a federal postal worker would treat a customer this way. Thankfully, the front desk clerk and several other people in the lobby reassured me that his behavior was unusually aggressive and unprofessional. Faith in humanity restored. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. No customer should be subjected to hostility and verbal abuse when simply asking about their mail. Corbett is a liability to this post office and to the USPS as a whole. read more

I haven't received any mail in over a week, which is very concerning. After being told by a delivery employee to check at the post office, I came in to see what was going on. The younger employee at the counter was very sweet, patient, and genuinely tried to help me. Unfortunately, my interaction with the older employee was the opposite--she repeatedly dismissed what I was saying, insisted "that's not how it works," and as I walked out, I heard her mumble that I was lying. As a customer simply trying to get answers about missing mail, this was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. I don't expect every situation to be resolved instantly, but I do expect respect and some level of effort to help. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. A little courtesy goes a long way, and customers shouldn't leave the post office feeling belittled or disrespected. read more

Second time they cancelled my passport appointment because the person is out yet again. Seriously? Management needs to manage better. They told me to go to the courthouse instead. By the way, the courthouse is over a month wait to get an appointment. And when you try to pick another post office it's weeks wait and while they say Saturday is open, they aren't. This is a child's passport renewal so I can't do it via mail. Very frustrating. read more

I want to love the Post Office. I really do. But, when the only person qualified to do passports is a no show and the Post Office doesn't send out cancellations or posts a sign at the entrance I can't say it's a competently run organization. Our family had an appointment and brought our three kids with us to the appointment and we're only then told about the cancellation due to a no show of the passport clerk. I hope there are consequences for the clerk up to and including losing their job. The manager of the post office should also be reprimanded for poor communication with their customers. read more

worst, mail carrier refuses to stay off grass and worse, peeps in window, made a complaint and he's been withholding daily mail, manager came to my house also not impressive...fyi withholding mail for a resident making a complaint is against the law and punishable by law. Much more to this all started last years when mail was getting taken from box to be delivered, had one check that said carrier was supposed to mail, a month later that check was washed and wrote out to person for over 7 grand, luckily my bank caught it, file report, he was gone for awhile, now back smirking in my window when he should be walking in walkway from street directly to porch, have signs up, reported, they don't care, higher ups involved now, if that doesn't solve it, hate to but will go to police. read more

I love that Yelp asks "what could improve", because my only answer is "everything". I consistently go weeks without a single piece of mail being delivered despite informed delivery telling me that I have had mail every single day. Mailed a "fashionably late" Christmas package to in-state family. Parking lot was easily navigable with ample spaces. Large signs above employee counter list shipping options by travel time urgency and flat fee by weight/size. Customer supply counter was well stocked with labels and mailer envelopes. Better lit and cleaner than a few other post offices I've visited. Line extended to the indoor entrance door but employees worked hard to keep it moving. Sent our package as priority in BYO material for $10, saving $4 from using USPS flat rate priority box. PRO TIP: dollar tree directly across the street sells bubble wrap, packing tape and padded mailers way cheaper than USPS. read more

Service was insufficient and wasted my time. I had a quick question but I was told to wait in line. I wasted about 25 minutes waiting.

This is the worse USPS location there is... One package delivered the other package same day returned with what they said wrong address. Can never tell where, when or who will be delivering mail. I have had mail placed on the hood of my car. They definitely need new supervisors at this location. Not to mention if you go inside they are very rude and let it be know you are a bother walking in the door. No wonder they are broke. read more

I needed to submit my passport application, so I chose the location based on the UPS appointment scheduler offered. I had never been to this location before and was surprised it existed. My appointment was scheduled for 2:15, so I arrived around 1:50 because I also needed to send out a package. The parking lot is quite narrow, so getting in and out when there are a lot of cars may be difficult, however, when I went, the parking lot was not busy. The building you can tell is older & hasn't been updated. However, it was still clean & orderly. When I walked in, I was greeted and mailed my package. The gentleman that I had my passport appointment with was very friendly & the process only took about 10 minutes. For the passport application, you can pay via check or money order; for the money order, you can conveniently use your debit card, and the money order will be created there. Which makes for a no fuss easy process. I am not sure why the location does not have good reviews. I had a very pleasant experience here. Especially compared to the UPS location on Columbus St, Virginia Beach, which is always jammed packed and I have to wait in line for 30mins-1 hour to mail something. read more

Normally the employees at this post office are great but for some reason the carrier who has my residence on her route is horrendous. She refuses to deliver anything except for what she can fit in our tiny condo mailbox and will not bring packages up to our door. I guess she's too lazy to use the elevator to come up to the fourth floor, but I now live in a home that I can't have things delivered to because of her. I've had 8 or 9 packages returned because she just won't bring them upstairs. It's mind blowing to me how the weekend carrier can find my address, or the man who was covering her while she was out on leave could find my address, or that she can deliver items to the mailbox, she just came seem to find where my front door is. I've called the complaint line MANY, MANY times. I've showed up to the actual post office numerous times. But somehow this keeps happening. I've had things I really needed either returned to the sender, forwarded to some random address, or just lost in the ether because this lady won't deliver anything bigger than an envelope. And then she makes up random reasons as to why they can't be delivered. For example, today she delivered one package from somewhere I ordered because it fit in the mailbox. The second package, coming from THE SAME SENDER ON THE SAME DAY, magically wasn't able to be delivered? Hint: both couldn't fit in the mailbox together... but the reason stated is that "it was forwarded to another address per instructions..." NOT MY INSTRUCTIONS OR THAG OF MY SENDER! And clearly the multiple complaints aren't being taken seriously, because it's been six months and it's still happening. I moved to a new construction community where it is my responsibility to install a mailbox. I called for 3 days straight during various hours of business with no answer and there is no option to leave a voicemail. On day 3, I continuously called an annoying amount of times until someone picked up. Either the facility picked up for another phone call that they received in between my continuous calling or they took the phone off the hook. Once I didn't receive a busy tone, the phone was "answered" with silence. I said hello a few times and then was hung up on. Maybe they have phone issues or lack of customer service. Who knows. All I do know is that I need postmaster approval for installing a mailbox, per the city. By time I get off of work the post office is closed. This process would much easier if they would just answer the phone. read more

Had a pckage from ebay that was sent to the wrong address, went to the post office the first time to see what i could do,the young lady was verry helpful,and patient, two days later, i went to pick up the re routed package in which i specifically told ups to route it to that post office, but somehow it was routed to another post office..the ladies there were more than helpful,and had great customer service thank you guys kindly for not being disgruntled, or not blowing me off!!!! read more

"Jay" certainly deserves five star recognition! My first visit to LC page station was surprisingly uneventful. I needed to purchase some stamps and mail a document . Customer service was awesome ! Jay was courteous and professional. During my transaction he recognized a woman entering the post office in a wheelchair. I live in the Harbor Walk division a short distance from this post office. For the past 5 years I have had mail marked undeliverable or put in the wrong mail box over and over. Carriers can not seem to find the house numbers. This past week, packages which required a signature, proved so troublesome that the carrier just slapped a post it note on the door and did not wait. The barcodes on the notes did not match the package. Then they could not find the package. Took two trips and two telephone calls with. Mrs. Riddick (who said she was post master) for me to retrieve the package. Today another package but I could hardly get to the door before he was running away. I said "you have to wait at least a minute." He said "I don't have to wait for nothing". As I asked his name, he continued running and left. Rude, nasty. They are not performing their jobs. I intend to report them to city and state officials. Do not use them or trust them. I am referring to the Little Creek Road office in Norfolk VA. I do not live in California. . read more

Having read some of the other reviews, I had to check to make sure they were talking about Page Station. Everyone from my mail carrier to the folks behind the counter have always greeted me with a smile and assisted cheerfully with any matter which was out of the ordinary. Page Station has been my post office for 33 years, and I have never had a problem with either their service or their people. read more

Hands down, the worst post office in the area. Scheduled pick ups often missed. Packages lost. Mail delivered to wrong mail box. Unable to answer questions. They do leave phone off the hook so you get busy signal the entire day if you try to call. I have had to call the district manager twice in one week. Poorly managed branch. I have been using this post office for 36 years, a few problems here and there. Overall a pretty good experience.

WORST post office EVER! Consistently rude employees and a complete lack of customer service. I frequently have packages that do not get delivered and no notice is left, but my tracking says delivery attempt made and that its at the post office waiting to be picked up. The workers get pissed when I don't have a notice and act like its my fault they can't find my shit. Today, my husband took a package up to drop off and get a receipt of confirmation that it had been received. The package was already paid for at home through the USPS click and ship service and they told him it wasn't paid for when he asked for a receipt. They didn't flip the package over I guess to see the label. They made him pay a second time. When I sent him back up with proof of payment and to get a refund and the CORRECT confirmation receipt that I could provide to my buyer, they gave him a hard time and a huge run around. I will be traveling further from now on to handle any of my shipping needs, as this post office is crap. I really wish my mail didn't get routed through them either.
