The lobby is organized and well-kept, and there are several designs of stamps to choose from at the counter (I picked the snow globes in honor of Christmas!). Vanity was the employee working when I was there, and she was fantastic. She was very kind and personable to everyone who came through, and she was very understanding to the customers having trouble. I would definitely pick the McCordsville Post Office over any other shipping company in the city!

I am going to brag about the amazing customer service I received today. My brother sent my kids…read moregift cards for Christmas. The problem was they sent them to the wrong address. The good thing...the post service added the new address label and we received 2 out of the 3 cards. There was still one card missing. Finally I contacted both the Fortville and Ingall's post offices for help. They worked together and finally figured out that the card I was looking for was at the Ingall's location with the entire front ripped off. There would be no way of knowing who it was from or where it was going. What saved me was my brother signed the inside. The amazing and very helpful Andrea in Ingall's helped me find it and now my daughter has her highly anticipated gift from her uncle. Andrea thank you from the bottom of my heart! It's people like you that give me hope that people still care and still do an amazing job everyday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The Fountaintown post office is a small building made of brick that is one building off of Highway…read more52 in the middle of town. It has been there for many years and the building is kept up very well. And there are several parking spaces, but if you drive a large truck it can be a little tricky backing up due to the neighbor's fence on the edge of the property line. They changed their hours but are normally now only open about 4 hours per day. Usually from about 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. they have the drop off box in the front outside. And can process any shipping needs you have if you can catch them while they are open. This is a very small town so it is still lucky to have a post office as many were closed. They have p.o boxes for rent inside with 24 hour access.

While I will admit I tend to be one of those people who thinks going to the BMV isn't nearly as…read moreawful as we make it out to be, I'll also admit that it's really kind of the last thing I wanted to be doing early on a Saturday morning. However, in an effort to keep moving on resolving my father's estate I needed to head in and transfer a title to his vehicle. After looking up possible branches and deciding that I wasn't quite up to heading into Meadows (the closest to my house) or the Lawrence branch (also close), I decided since I needed to hit the northwest side I'd head north. I find the BMV website confusing and especially so on my phone - so, my original stop at 92nd and Meridian was a false alarm. They weren't open. So, I headed toward this branch at Lake Circle Plaza. It's a large shopping center off West 86th Street not long before you hit the St. Vincent campus. This is a full-service branch that also houses self-service options. There are a couple of accessible parking spots nearby, though I ended up parking farther down by Kroger. There's a couple glass doorways. The lobby is huge and where you'll find the self-serve kiosks. To get to full-service, you go around the self-serve area. You'll arrive at an electronic station. You push a button to get a number. I knew it was going to be a bit of a wait - I think they were in the mid-30s when I arrived. I had #74. There are quite a few seats. To be honest, while there was a bit of a wait the line actually moved pretty quickly. The stations are pretty low to the ground. I would call them for the most part wheelchair friendly. I wanted to accomplish two tasks, though I had a feeling one would not be possible as I was concerned I didn't have the right kinds of ID. As it turned out, I accomplished changing the title quite easily (if the person has died, you need a death certificate and court documents indicating you have the authority). If you plan to keep the vehicle, you'll also be looking at plates. I will be selling the vehicle. The clerk was friendly, helpful, and sympathetic to my reason for being there. I was honestly surprised how quickly things got accomplished and for a very reasonable price. As expected, I was unable to accomplish my second task. She explained what I would need - especially if I wanted the new Real ID. While employees are friendly, they are pretty consistent with the rules and there are supervisors who check work to maintain integrity. It's a little inconvenient, but I'm also a government employee and I'm fine with rules being rules. I was in and out in less than an hour. I was impressed that there was an employee floating around helping people as possible. They do have public restrooms including an accessible one. They do charge a service charge for using debit or credit cards. Overall, I was pleased. I typically use self-serve when able. However, both tasks today required an in-person appearance. While this wasn't anything dazzling, it offered good service, a decent atmosphere, and pretty organized chaos. I'd like to see the website get a little more clarity. I do like that you can now schedule appointments - as I watched, this seemed to speed up the process. This will likely be the branch I visit again once I'm able to find or get the documents needed for my additional task.

I chose to go to this license branch at 8:30am on Saturday thinking I was going to be first in…read moreline. When I got there the line was down by Hobby Lobby and my heart stopped for a quick second. I still went in to use the kiosk to transfer my plates from my old vehicle that I traded in to my new vehicle and used the Kiosk. I was unsure of what to do at the kiosk but Jane helped me and made the process quick and easy. Jane has outstanding customer service skills and I was impressed with how smooth the process went. I'm so happy that the kiosk was available for me to use. Thank you Jane for your service, keep up the good work.

Plenty of people working was a plus and in the area the crowd likely wasn't as big as most major locations!

I was a little apprehensive going in, but once I got there was comfortable. Everyone was very cautious, keeping distance and sanitizing everywhere. The process was very easy to follow. The registration online, very simple, I did it via my phone. The options of locations and times made it easy to plan. I know it's a crazy time, nice job organizing and communicating state wide!

We can say it's embarrassing or we can count it a blessing. Today we filled out an application to see if Tony qualifies for Medicaid to help with his medical bills. If he does it will be a blessing. Even with insurance just one of his medicines is $780.00 a month. Two people working with us have told us to apply. We both receive Medicare so we are not rich by far. The people here are very busy and yet they are helpful and most of them are still smiling after dealing with many people all day long. Be kind and gentle to everyone. That's what your likely to get back!
