I don't like writing reviews like this, but I've just about had it with this post office. I've lived in several zip codes in the Charlotte area, and my experience with the Huntersville post office has by far been the worst. When we first moved here, we had a reliable mail carrier, a woman whose name I don't know. But shortly after, we received a new mail carrier - a gentleman - I have had nothing but issues ever since. I received a postcard that indicated that I had a document sent registered mail that required a signature, but no one was home to sign and that a re-attempt will be made. I thought that was strange since I work from home and had been home all day to sign that document had the doorbell rang, so I made a point to listen out for the next attempt and again found another postcard in my mailbox the next day that said that no one was home to sign for the document. The next time the mail carrier came I literally looked out the window and saw him about to put the postcard in the mailbox again when he had not even come to the door to ring the doorbell! So I ran to the door, opened it and waived for him to bring it to me which he did. Busted!! But who does that? How do you say that you attempted to do something that you didn't do? And that's just one example. He never delivers the mail consistently at the same time, you don't know whether to expect it in the morning or in the late afternoon, and most recently I was expecting a delivery from Amazon via USPS, and not once but twice did I get a notification that says that my delivery could not be made because my driveway was not accessible. This was during our first snowfall of the year and our driveway had not only been shoveled but also salted. So it was clearly accessible, and he obviously did not even attempt to arrive at our home or get out of the truck. I tried to call Customer Service but of course they were closed because - go figure - it was a holiday. Unbelievable. That's probably also why the carrier figured he could get away with entering a code in the system to say our fully accessible driveway wasn't accessible. Now I'm going to call Amazon to see what they can do. I've never seen a more lazy mail carrier in my life.

Clean or messy? I go with clean.

The post office can be boring, but I'm not down with boring. If something is boring, I'll either leave or do something to change the mood (for better or worse). In this instance, I think it was for the better, but you be the judge. I stood on a short line to pick up a mysterious package (I missed the package while in Savannah). While standing there, a large woman wearing headphones was dancing, but primarily with her hindquarters. Her serious facial expression didn't match her body's happy movements. Just standing there behind her with nowhere to go created awkwardness. Now I had boring and awkward together (not quite like pb&j). I needed to make a move. "Hey." I waved my hand in front of her face to get her attention. She extended her left earbud an inch from her ear and shot me a curious look. "Yeah?" "I appreciate the entertainment. The post office is usually boring, but here you are, dancing and shaking your moneymaker." "Ha! But when I shake my moneymaker, no money come out." Classic! Anyway, she got her groove back on and I picked up a DVD of Tron: Legacy from Germany that didn't work in American DVD players, despite being in English and sold on Amazon US. Figured out a solution though. No worries there. The post office guy closer to the right when facing the counter was on his game. He would point to the next few people in line while talking to his crew and say, "That one's picking up" "That one's dropping off" "That one has a question" Etc. This was without having spoken to anyone in the line. I mean the following sincerely. This is the type of guy that would be great at whatever he did. He was driven and communicated in a friendly manner while getting the job done. Rare combo.

My Morris jenkins truck is not parked in front of my mailbox, or obstructing the mail lady from delivering my mail. We have important packages that's not getting delivered because she is saying our mailbox is being blocked. Can someone direct me on what I need to do

If you want to ruin your day just stop by this post office the attitude there is second to none. I stopped in to mail a couple pre-lable packages and ask for information on a package I haven't received. Was told they don't have time to look up the tracking number and go stand in line by the side door. 30 minutes later no bs I give them my tracking number and was told it's delayed! My question was why is it going to Charlotte to Columbia and back to Charlotte? I was told that's how the shipping works! I worked for fedex for a number of years and never seen anything like this.

I am constantly getting packages that look like they've been stepped on. Seems as though the postal employees are trying to see what is in the packages. Terrible service.

Here are the hideous Xmas stamps that came out of their machine. The service agents refused to exchange them for regular stamps.

However, the employee who prompted this review, clearly wanted it. As this post office is usually packed, I prefer to use the self service machine. I have prepaid QR codes that I simply scan and I'm on my way. However, sometimes I need to buy packaging, which is a feature on the machine. The other day, I grabbed a bubble mailer and went to pay for it at the machine, like I have many times before. As I am approaching the door, one of the associates yells in front of everyone " you can't leave with that", insinuating that I was trying to take it without paying. I then informed him I was taking it to the machine so I could pay for it when I scanned my QR code. He continued to tell me I could not leave the store with it, although the machine is inside the store. As he proceeded to argue with me in front of everyone, I had no choice but to get in the long line to pay for my packaging. Once I reach the desk and he processed my transaction, a survey came up on the machine- he asked me "if I was going to click the red button since I was mad". So on top of accusing me of stealing, he been unprofessionally berated me about being unhappy of the situation and prompting me for a bad review. Anyway, per his request here is his review! I make it a point to buy my packaging elsewhere and never go into that store again.

I didn't know those things still existed. Anyways, I felt a little awkward walking in preparing to make this odd inquiry, but felt some comfort when I realized I was in a rather cozy small business environment. In my experience, folks in those places are usually friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. I was actually starting to think I'd found a replacement for the UPS store around the corner that felt more like a post office. It would also save me the drive to the print shop I go to regularly in south end. Wow, maybe this all happened for a reason I thought...what a great find! Boy was I wrong. Before I even finished explaining my situation the man behind the counter threw his arms up, turned his back to me and walked towards the back of the store (I guess that's where they keep the packages). He then proceeded to yell to me (from the back of the store) that he didn't have any packages for me in a tone that conveyed to me in a rather unmistakable way that he did not approve of the reason for my presence in his store, and that I was an unwanted distraction. So much for that small business warm and fuzzy. I can only speculate as to why my request was viewed as such a nuisance, but it's worth noting that they provide a good deal of printing and mailbox services, all of which fetch a decent price compared to my "free" request. I've had plenty of good reasons to pay for their services since, but I will never set foot inside that storefront again. I never did track that package down either.

I don't typically post a review, but when I feel a business is unethical it is important to me that the community. I hope what happened to me does not happen to anyone else. A friend of mine took a package into UPS store #2690 on Feb 5, 2026 for a guaranteed over night delivery to me in Austin, TX on Feb 6, 2026. The store charged $214.00. On Feb 6th I tracked the package. It was delayed due to weather. But how can that be? There were no weather issues in Charlotte or Austin, and if there was why did they accept the package for overnight delivery? Yes, there were weather issues the previous week, but that was the previous week. When I contacted the UPS store owner/manager, Issa, I was told they could not be accountable for weather. The package would not be delivered until three days later. To make matters worse because I was no longer in the Austin area to receive the package he wanted to charge me $100.00 to reroute it. Completely unethical in my opinion. After going around and around with Issa hoping to get a full refund, he offered me a $75.00 store credit. Sorry, that doesn't cut it. Rather than accept an offer like that and keep quiet I would rather not, and post this in hopes that it will help someone avoid this situation in the future and go elsewhere to ship overnight packages.
