I own the building on Worthington Blvd at 3512. It comes with 3 mailboxes, one for each floor and each tenant. I have owned this building since it was built inn2007. The irresponsible postman, a tall man with curly white hair and glasses, decided on his own to remove my boxes and all evidence of 3512. He did this last year. My tenants complained to me because they had no other way of receiving their mail. In the past 6 months, I have gone 4 times to the Patrick st post office. Promises were made by different people. Finally, last week, I spoke to the clumsy postman's supervisor, Margaret Church. She promised to take care of it and guaranteed my tenants will receive correct labels with new mailboxes. I was happy to pay for new mailboxes and keys. I gave her my old mailbox keys and we agreed to meet today to correct this mistake. After waiting 30 minutes today for Margaret to show up, she came to talk to me. She appeared to be deeply influenced by irresponsible postman. No matter what lies he kept repeating, she accepted. It did not matter how far fetched his lies were. She has no leadership qualities and was swayed by his lies. I was deeply disappointed. It was unbelievable. My next step is to reach out to her bosses. Perhaps someone in this poorly managed post office will have a spine to stand up to bad employees such as this postman. He should have been fired years ago. In the meantime, even though I pay $11,000 in Frederick taxes, my tenants have no access to their mail. This is very bad customer service and a major disappointment.

Regardless of line length, I always find the staff to be helpful, patient, and courteous. Today, I showed up with a rather large problem and it turned out to be my own fault. Entering through the only operating door (for at least the last week), I dropped the entire batch inside. This would be a classic example of Zohran Mandami's definition of bureaucratic complacency on the part of the post office. The Merrifield Post Office is beyond disreputable and dysfunctional. My only reason for using it is convenience, but even that is becoming shaky.
