Waiting on a package from ebay. Arrived Sunday 12-14 at Bell Gardens this is thursday 12-18, package has not moved yet, and after reading these reviews it doesn't look promising. What the hell is going on here? You can't get anybody on the phone. Also package was supposed to go from Vegas to Philly, yet it went west to this black hole, instead of going east. WTF? Is this some kind of scam?. read more

I had a very valuable packaged mailed to me with the 5 day service, a tracking number and was insured. For some unknown reason it was held up at the Bell Garden location for 6 days. When I called to ask where it was, after sitting on hold forever, I got a woman in the phone that couldn't care less about it being missing and basically said there was nothing she could do. Ended up calling back and got someone very helpful and she filed a claim for me. After the claim was filed, there was movement and it's now in Washington....maybe I'll get at some point.....maybe. No wonder the USPS is a dying agency. What a group of slack ass incompetent SOBs. read more

This is by far the WORSE of the worse. It's been two weeks overdue for a pkg that was suppose to be delivered. Try talking to a customer rep at the post office..Took me 1 hr on hold.. I will NEVER send a pkg through USPS again. I will use UPS.. If I could give a 0.. Then try collecting on a claim!! That's worse read more

This should be a minus start rating! When tracking USPS # I find that the 3-4 day guaranteed mailing packages all go through a depot called Bel Gardens. You pay full price with the commitment of the package getting to the destination in 3-4 days baring weather conditions. The packages from this USPS depot seem to take way over a week. The customer should not have to pay full price! If they can't make the guaranteed delivery time they should not be in business! I will support the US Mail only from this moment on. Your loss and I am sure many other customers are with me on this. read more

Horrible delivery service!! The mailman is always on his phone and can't multi task. He has repeatedly delivered mail to the wrong address. I constantly receive mail that does not belong to my address, usually same numbers completely different street names. Just today he delivered my package to my neighbors house. Wondering what I can do to fix this problem as numerous packages have gone missing after they arrive to the post office! If I could give it zero stars I would! read more

I mailed my customer's package on 11/16/15 and expected delivery was 11/23/15. According to the tracking info it has been sitting in Bell Gardens for the past 22 days. It was a large, heavy and expensive package to ship. I've been selling on eBay for years and have had several large or irregular shaped packages get "lost" and damaged in the Black Hole of Bell Gardens. I'm not expecting the package to ever reach my customer or to be returned back to me. So, I'm out the cost of the item and the cost of shipping and I have an unhappy customer. I tried calling with numbers supplied by other reviewers but it just rings and rings not that I was looking forward to speaking to someone who will be either rude or useless or both. read more

For some reason whenever my packages are delivered from the East Coast, when they are received in Bell Gardens Post Office, they send the packages to the originator. The originator then resends them and Bell Gardens then sends them to the Orange Post Office for delivery. Someone in Bell Gardens needs to get their head on straight and deliver the mail to the individuals they are addressed to. No need to send them back to the originator. read more

Looks as though I will be having the same problems that others have had. My package was sent from Virginia to Ca. it got here and now it went back east..Wardendale Pa. another sorting facility thats known for losing things. Why is it so hard to do ones job and do it right. i know things happen, but really?! Both facility's have such poor ratings why is this not seen as real problem...this is why they can't turn a profit. read more

Apparently, this place isn't a real post office, but a black hole. I have had a package sitting there, according to their own info, for a full WEEK now, with no movement. No nasty weather to keep it from moving, and one sent from elsewhere on the same date this one went out made it in three DAYS, from an area that has had bad weather!! I know this is factual because I am married to a commercial driver. They can't claim weather for this. What the heck?? There is no excuse for a package sitting for a week in a post office facility. This is why I don't use the post office! This degree of incompetence would not be tolerated at a private business. The post office is a joke, and this facility is a prime example. Apologies to the few good people delivering - not your fault - but the post office is a failure. What are we paying for here? read more

unable to reach these fools, they like to answer and hang up after calling many times no answer. very unprofessional, rude, an embarrassment to the community read more

They have awful service. I called all morning to schedule an appointment for the passport. I spoke to the supervisor and her excuse what "short staff" after not answering the phone 16 times (all morning). The recording has wrong information. read more

Mailed a perishable package to Riverside, California priority mail and paid extra postage to have it arrive in 3 days. The package went to Bell Gardens, California which is in L.A. County for it to be sent on to Riverside County. This in itself is insane! This is the route of the package! From my home town in Colorado to Grand Junction, Colorado to Bell Gardens, California to San Diego, CA to Oceanside, CA to Santa Clarita, CA then back to Oceanside, CA. Now the tracking is lost and no one knows what happen to my package. It shows in transit and that was 2 days ago! Someone cannot read. It should have gone directly from Bell Gardens to Riverside, CA. And while my package is flailing around the California coast, no one was smart enough to see that it should not have continued on the path it was on! Total INCOMPETENCE!!!!!!!!! I will no longer use the postal system to mail packages. I will use UPS or FedEx! read more

If I could give zero stars I would this post office has to be the worse post office I have ever been to. My package apparently was attempted to be delivered but my mailbox was full or my package was too big (both a lie) I have been on the phone for an hour trying to find out where my package is and in that hour that I was on hold I drove to the post office I took an hour off of work and literally work on the other side of town. I am there and no one can give me information on my package Lorencia doesn't know who to call where to call who her supervisors are or if they are even at the location to begin with. She gives me a 562 number and says any supervisor will answer and so I call and they do answer and the first thing I heard was we are closed already and I will come back to help you in 7-10min, well I waited like an idiot another 20 and no one came to the phone, so I'm expecting AirPods how big is the freakin package??? You gotta be kidding me. read more

Bell Gardens strikes again! The package of rare, expensive books I mailed to a customer SAT IN THIS BLACK HOLE FOR TEN WHOLE DAYS before anyone bothered to try delivering. The post office here in New York assured me that the package would take about 7 days door to door. They have obviously never heard of the incompetent jackasses who inhabit BELL GARDENS. The customer had checked out of his hotel and flown back to South America by the time the tracking read "Delivered". I have no idea who received the package or where it ended up. Frankly, I'm glad I insured the books but there is no guarantee I will ever collect a penny or see the contents of the package again. I have the aggravation of filing a claim, proving value etc. The Post Office is failing and many of us really prefer UPS to USPS.They can thank the lazy morons in their employ. My small business stands to loose the several hundred $$ I had to refund to the customer. FORWARD THESE REVIEWS TO USPS, IT'S TIME TO SHUT BELL GARDENS DOWN AND PUT THE THIEVES AND VILLAGE IDIOTS OUT OF WORK! read more

I give this facility no stars! Twice now I have had packages delayed by weeks from this office. Very unhappy with this post office and the phone number listed is disconnected. Beware if your package is processed through this post office. read more

Unfortunately, I too have the same story as everyone else. I sent a package going to Texas last week on the 14th and it ended up at this post office the next day. It has been there ever since. The tracking has not been updated and who knows, maybe my package is lost. I will call them tomorrow and see what's going on...but this is beyond ridiculous. They need new protocols or new workers...I don't know what's going on, but they definitely need to do something to stop this kind of thing from happening. If I could give this place zero stars I would. read more

The worst USPS sorting facility in the system. My package came across the Us in Two days. Now it has been stuck In Bell Gardens for over three days awaiting delivery to Las Vegas and still no sign it has left Bell Garden. I should of spent the extra money and went for UPS or FedEx. read more

I mailed a package in WI on 4/9. shd have arrived in VanNuys in 5 days. Stuck in DesMoines, IA days, now last was in Bell Gardens, CA since 4/l8. It is insured but 16 days so far and has not arrived at it's destination. It surely has me thinking my next parcel may go FedEx. Usps has really gone down hill. All I was told is you should have sent it first class or priority mail. Why have standard shipping and be told it will arrive in 5 days when they just do not have control of anything. Where does this sit so long and for heavens sake why??? People pay good money for a service that sucks. I pd $28.+ and still have no delivery where it shd be. Bell Gardens, CA is only a few thousand bigger than our town. At least it left our city in one day. Get with it or close your doors. read more

Received belated Christmas presents in the mail today from a family member who is known for their packing ability. The box looked like it had been run over by a truck, and the beautiful vintage snow globes we were sent were smashed beyond repair, despite being packed within a secondary box full of bubblewrap and packing peanuts. The other items were all soaked from the snow globe liquid and the squished because of the manhandling of the Bell Gardens PO. I know for a fact it was their office, as this is the second time we have received damaged mail from them. We received another box today that did not go through the Bell Gardens PO, and despite it also having many breakable items in it, it arrived in 100% condition. Bell Gardens, you guys SUCK. read more

One star is way too generous eating for this black hole. If possible please do not use or do not make your package/media-mail pass through this USPS black hole. I have lost my christmas gift for my 7 years old kid. It was sent on Dec/15 as media-mail and it arrived on Bell Garden sorting facilities at Dec/17and tracking was stopped there forever. How this kind of black hole exists ? USPS should close this facility ASAP and rebuild completely new one somewhere else not involving any of the employees and anything worked for Bell Gardens sorting facilities. read more

I wanted to submit an update. My package did arrive. Turns out it was only two days later than originally scheduled. However, I may have helped matters by beginning an inquiry into the problem of it being stuck at the Bell Gardens post office. I also signed up for both text and email updates. I would recommend that others do this as well. I was going to contact the Congresswoman for that district, but since I am not a resident of her district, contact is not allowed. It didn't matter that I had a problem with a business in her district. I also found that the delivery date had been changed on the tracking site to indicate On Time. That isn't actually true. A change of date due to a delay does not translate to On Time. I was relieved that my package arrived in good shape with all the contents inside. read more

worst post office/sort facility. all my packages that have the bad luck of going through here are always delayed at least 1-2 extra days and worst when i google this branch many others have had packages lost or stolen and never made it past here. read more

On July 7, 2015, I purchased something from a seller in Cumberland, MD, and I live in Huntington Beach, CA. My package was mailed to me by first class mail, insured. On its way here, the package passed through the postal sorting facility in Bell Gardens, CA where it was processed during the next 5 1/2 hours. From there, the package made it to Huntington Beach. Five hours later, at 10:00AM on July 10, the package arrived here at its Huntington Beach location safely and in perfect condition. Most of the posts I see here are from complainers. Those of us who have a good experience usually have nothing to say, and that is unfortunate. All I know is that my package made it through the Bell Gardens Post Office very quickly and efficiently. I commend the postal service as a whole (including Bell Gardens) for doing their work efficiently. My advice is that if you are concerned about speed and efficiency, use first class mail instead of media mail, which is a form of third class mail (the terminology has changed over the years). If its valuable, add insurance. Packages are not generally stolen, but can get lost and/or undelivered if the mailing label comes off or it wasn't wrapped properly. I will continue using USPS - still the best value out there, plus you have the protection of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service - something you won't get anywhere else. Jim S. read more

if you are reading this review, i am sorry to inform you your parcel is in the usps limbo. even they do not know where it is. the image i got was it just circles and if it lasts, they get to it when they get to it. this comes at peril as the longer it circles the bigger chance of mishap.my parcel was here 12 days before i got notice it was on the move. sadly it was an ebay purchase that i paid extra for fed ex.. good luck to you and i hope it was well packaged, you may or may not get yours as i read 1 review where it said his package had cleared the pincers of hell never to be heard of again. read more

Something needs to be done about this place!! Whether it needs to have an investigation into its employees or just straight up shut down! Something must be done. I have been waiting for my desert trip tickets in the mail for over a week. My tracking updates said they were in Fontana last Monday then went all the way to this shit hole office and sat there until the following Tuesday! Why they went to bell gardens and not the San Bernardino office makes zero sense. Bell gardens is completely out of the way. Anyways, finally my package arrived Wednesday....empty. Nothing but an empty box with the label on it! After seeing all the reviews on this post office, I know for a fact it was one of them that stole my tickets. I have never had an issue with any sort of packages before, and the one time my package goes to bell gardens my items get stolen. I feel bad for the idiot that it going to buy the tickets off them seeing that they are deactivated now. But seriously if you can at all cost avoid this place! read more

I sent a package from the high desert (Hesperia Post Office) to my daughters family who live near Boise Idaho.. Our mail usually goes down to San Bernardino and then on to wherever it's supposed to go... For some unknown reason it went to Bell Gardens instead.... It's never been received in Idaho... We've both complained and Monday I am supposed to call the Consumer Affairs Office in San Diego about it.. I paid almost $45.00 to send the package. This place does need to be shut down. It's a trap.. I believe that the clerk in Hesperia was in on this... she never asked me if I wanted delivery confirmation or did I want to insure it, etc... She just said - okay we've taken care of everything - you are good to go on your way... Have a good day.... I had never seen her there before... There is something going on..... I will pursue this.... I at least want my money back that I paid for mailing it... read more

I cannot even begin to say how displeased I am with this facility. Zero stars, poor customer service which in fact is none! The phone rings until it goes busy. I mailed a package with forensic nursing books back to San Diego to a friend. The box was secure, mailed it media mail (Never in my wildest dreams would I think someone would steal them) and did not insure the box. (Will never do that again) Box arrived to the destination, scotch tape on all corners marked on the outside empty contents! How is this possible? The box left MD secure with all contents. The tracking had no information regarding the empty contents. Called the post office inspector, what a waste of time! Seriously, we will work on it. I go online after tracing the locations of my package, and guess what pops up, Bell Gardens, CA! To my dismay, a search on Google came up with horrific comments from customers! The same thing happened to many people, apparently this post office has a crime ring internally! My sister works for USPS, she could not believe this happened. I'm active duty military and am ashamed the Post Office performs business like this. Shut this place down immediately!!!!!!!!!! read more

I sent a parcel from Phoenix to Oklahoma. Somehow it went directly to Bell Gardens dist. center. I received the shipping label in the mail exactly once week later with a letter explaining to me that the label had fallen off and had become separated from the box. The letter said I needed to send in a "Parcel Search Request" so I did. I had to describe the contents of the package and mail it to Atlanta Georgia and am waiting for them to get back with me. They said it could take up to three months. The shipping label was sealed on the box with heavy duty shipping tape. Every square inch was covered. It would have taken a lot of effort to remove it. It looks like the label was carefully cut from the box. You can see the jagged edges where the scissors cut plus the tracking number which was placed on a separate area of the box had been removed and slapped on top of the label when it was returned to me. This is a clear case of thievery. I don't have insurance on the item so I don't know what to do. read more

My son who lives in Ohio sent a package to me. the Allen post office told him that it could not be delivered because nobody lived at that address. I have lived here for 16 years and don't plan on moving. when i went to the post office they said that they showed somebody else was living there. They were able to retrieve the package and I checked the address and it was right. I did tell them that it was their job to deliver the mail by address not by the name of the person. I have called the 800 number may times to complain but to no avail. For any body who would like the Post Masters Name for the City of Allen, Texas it is Debra Hendrix Her Phone Number is 972-727-2611. Please continue to call and complain may be she will leave and then we might get somebody who cares to straighten this place out. I see the problem as the same here as what we have in Washington D.C. I got a BB-8 droid off of eBay and the seller shipped it out on the January 12. Normally I have no problems with USPS. But my package has been stuck at this facility for 4 days now and since they close at 2:00 pm on Saturday and are closed on Sunday and Monday is MLK day so they will be closed then too, my package will be stuck there for a total of 6 days for sure. I'm supposed to get it by the 19th. That's Tuesday... And with all the reviews for this place I'm starting to wonder if I'll get my package at all... I know it hasn't been long, but normally my packages are out of Cali in a day, on to an Oregon facility and out the same day to Washington. What will really be upsetting is if I don't get it because I won a bid on eBay for a very good price for the droid and if I don't get it I probably won't be able to find another one for that price. I'll keep this review update as time goes on. Hopefully I will get my package. read more
