They have your typical variety of white and recycled, different-sized envelopes, padded and non-padded, as all was other basic mailing needs (tapes, pens, boxes, etc.). They also provide Papyrus and other greeting cards for last-minute notes for the receiver. Saturday morning, came to drop off an envelope and there is only one person at the counter helping customers, when a lady said you should get help, the line is out the door, he said there is no one else to help him, after about 30 min someone came out for pick ups only. My recommendation is to have someone else on Saturday to help. read more

Really rude customer service, she kept pushing me to complete my order even though she had spent a long time helping someone who looked more like herself. She seemed to really dislike her manager and told us about how impatient he was with the staff. Poor customer service! There is ALWAYS a long, slow line at this location and the employees don't make any effort to speed things along. I shipped a package to my granddaughter and put a special marking on the back of the envelope that was a just for her. The male worker asked me what it meant and I didn't answer. (It was none of his business.) Well needless to say, my package was "missing" for almost a month and then when it was finally delivered, the package was ripped open and the contents were missing. This Post Office is managed horribly. I rent a box at this location and have had the worst service of any post USPO that I have entered. Every time I have an oversized package delivered to my box I do not receive any notification, pick up slip or large package box key so that I know it has safely arrived. The staff is 50/50 for good and bad attitude. I would not reccomend this post office to anyone, avoid if you can. read more

I went to your post office one hour after it closed - so, there is no way you can say they got used up. The eastern European woman is very rude. I asked for tape to close my envelope, she tells me they do not have one. I see the tape on the other kiosk counter and asked the man, he handed that to me, can you believe no tape in post office ?!!! Then she wanted to keep my original receipt , I told her to give me a copy, she said we do not have a copy machine. I asked for The manager and he made a copy for me. I asked her why you do not cooperate with me, she said YOU TALK TOO MUCH the customer service is very bad , the staff are not knowledgable except the Indian guy, who is very nice and professional. Thanks for nothing! I'm beyond pissed as I have gotten the run around for the last 2 weeks about the location of my package from Stephanie Adams. I was told yesterday that they intercepted the driver and got my package and it was waiting for me in Alexandria. I get to a location in Alexandria, wait in a long line and surprise!!! No package!!! And I got the run around once again. Told I would get at call. At the point, I want an apology from US Postal Service and my money back for wasting my time!!!!!!! So let me start by saying that there is one guy in the post office that I really like. He is very nice and helpful. Middle aged Indian man. Great employee. HOWEVER....this post office gets 1 star from me today because I saw a worker CURSING OUT a customer and she is still working there. I was appalled. I only saw part of the altercation but from what I understand, the worker went outside to fight the customer. As she is cursing out the customer and calling her out of her name, none of the other employees told her to go in the back or take a break or anything. I don't know who the manager is but that's extremely disappointing. I know times are tough but no one that acts like that should be working in customer service. PERIOD. read more

Horrible post office!!! My packages keep getting lost with them and they mark it as delivered to front door. Open the door and surprise... nothing there.. For signature needed packages they leave a note saying nobody answered the door to sign, when nobody even knocked to begin with! Yes i would be sitting all day at home near the door! They get lazy and leave my package down stairs sometimes instead of coming up a few stairs and dropping it. This post office stays busy. The line is literally never-ending. Even so, the post office agents are friendly and helpful. I spent a little over an hour at this location packing up stuff from the inaugural events that I had purchased for friends and family. Me & my friend literally took over the entire passport counter so it's a good thing that area was already closed by the time we got there. LOL :-D Nobody said a word to me as I sang, danced, wrote notes in cards, and sealed up all of the items I needed to mail. I ended up being the last person to receive service for the day. The lady who assisted me had a pleasant demeanor. She gladly let me use her tape to seal all of the card envelopes I had stuffed with goodies. I mailed off a bunch of stuff so I was surprised that I ended up spending less than $20 on postage. Even though this is a busy post office, I had a lot to do before making my purchase and sending all of my items off. This is probably not the best place to come if you're in a hurry and have to wait for a clerk. However, there are machines where you can self pay at this location. Well, my streak of no issues has come to an end with this usps. Had an issue where I needed to ship a package to Canada and the nasty woman behind the counter kept trying to tell me that I had to do it online. I informed her that click-n-ship was not available for international shipments on usps - I had already tried doing that. After about 15 minutes of informing her that online was not a possibility, she finally begrudgingly cooperated and I was able to ship my package to Canada through the usps. Amazing how that works? This woman clearly didn't like me because I was a white man and was unwilling to help me at first. I had to exhaust all possibilities before this woman would cooperate. Absolutely unacceptable and I've edited my 3 star review to 1 star. Fire these incompetent anti-white racists who work for you or I'll take this issue to the next level. read more

This location always has a long wait when going in person and no one ever answers the phone. I try to call in and it just rings and rings, but occasionally I get a busy signal so I know someone is there using the phone, they just don't want to answer. USPS is just horrible with customer service and their automated help line is a frustrating piece of garbage. read more

Amazing Service. I was waiting on a dress I had to wear in a function Friday night. It went through UPS to the Post Office. The tracking said Thursday night. The manager of the Franconia PO went above and beyond. Found the package and sent it to Pickett St and held it there for me... If I could give it a 0 I would. This place did not deliver my item and left a note on my door. I tried to reschedule delivery and they did not deliver the item. I called customer service and they placed me on hold and did not answer. I tried emailing but the email feature is down. Looks like I will have to waste my lunch break to try to go get my package.
