Do NOT recommend. If you're returning equipment just figure out how to mail it. We switched to AT&T fiber for better pricing (consistent, at least) & customer service. Workers seem fine it's not them entirely it's the company. Don't do it, go with someone else. Not to mention their service is inconsistent and about 1/2 of the speed you pay for. Don't do it.

Our monthly cost have gone from $250/ month to $50 a month which is guaranteed for 2 years. We still get all the streaming services as before (using Roku stick for both services.) Best of all our internet speed has gone from 60-75 Mbs to 500 Mbs upload as tested with a speed tester. What's really unbelievable is that we waited so long to do this. And having to going in to the Spectrum store in Appleton (which is mandatory to discontinue the service) we did not complain and were friendly, being happy to be rid of this costly and terrible internet speed service. The agent on the other hand looked like he was a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any second. Even though it was a terrible visit experience, we were just as happy coming out of the store as going in, being relieved at having made this switch.

I recently visited Verizon to upgrade from an iPhone 14 to an iPhone 17 and trade in my old device…read more What should have been a simple process turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. We were working on factory resetting my iPhone 14 for trade-in, but because I was connected to unfamiliar Wi-Fi and had certain security settings enabled, I was told it could take up to an hour. The employee then suggested she might be able to speed things up by doing something from my new iPhone 17, which had already been fully set up and had all my data successfully transferred. After entering my password a few times at her request, she removed the case from my new phone and told me everything was done. That's when I realized she had factory reset the brand-new iPhone 17 -- the one I had just transferred all my data to. I immediately asked her to pause and make sure we could regain access to the 17 before wiping the 14, since any data not backed up to the cloud was still on that device. Despite this, within minutes both phones had been factory reset. At that point, she began asking other employees how to recover at least one of them and restore my data. After about 30 minutes, we finally made progress logging back into my iCloud. However, she was only able to restore my cloud backup up until the previous week, meaning anything not backed up after that point was permanently lost. She then began setting the phone up again for me, but the process took far longer than it should have because she repeatedly inserted herself into a separate conversation with another Verizon employee and the customers he was helping. Instead of focusing on fixing the mistake, she prioritized telling stories. At one point, I watched my phone go to sleep because it had not received an action from her in so long. What should have been a straightforward trade-in ended with me losing recent data and sitting through my brand-new phone being completely re-set up -- a process I had already completed days earlier -- while waiting several minutes between each step. Extremely disappointing experience and a serious lack of attention to detail. When it comes to handling customers' personal devices and data, a much higher level of care and professionalism should be the standard.

For comparison: I live in Menomonee Falls and had a great experience at my local Verizon. The staff there were exceptional when I needed to transfer my phone and start a new account with my husband. My parents were trying to be added to that same account and were told they could go into any Verizon store to complete the process. Last night around 4 p.m at the Appleton calumet location , a male employee told them he didn't have access to help them. I was on the phone during this conversation, kindly asking him to assist them, since they're not tech-savvy and needed guidance. He told them they'd have to come back after I sat on hold for hours to get the transfer processed--then they could return the next day to pick out phones. They went back this morning, only to be treated even worse. A blonde, heavier-set female employee said to them verbatim: "I'm not talking to you guys anymore. I won't say another word." This was in response to simple questions they had about how to get new phones. Completely unacceptable. I've since learned I can't make them account managers until 7 days after the transfer, but my local Verizon rep, Eric (who is incredibly helpful), explained that employees should be able to assist over the phone if needed. The behavior from the staff at this location was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. This store clearly has a pattern--after reading other negative reviews, it's no surprise. The woman my parents dealt with at 9:30 a.m. today should not be working in customer service at all. My parents live two hours away, and I was relying on this store to help them in person. Instead, they were disrespected and left frustrated. I ended up ordering their phones online--clearly the more efficient and courteous route. Verizon, do better. This store and its management need serious attention. I told them to not go back to that location!

business customer who left the store today feeling shame and confusion…read more I came to the store to make an insurance claim for my iPhone 15, or to swap it out with a business device I already owned. I came to this store because it was the same location that set me up with all my business services and devices months back. They told me I don't have insurance, it wouldn't be covered, and I don't own the device I thought I owned. What an awful surprise! To get started, I was met by a friendly enough man, who after I showed him my cracked phone, removed the camera cover and said insurance will not cover it. I told him I was getting glass splinters in my hand and asked why insurance wouldn't cover something like that? He said the camera appears to be fine and it still functions and just so long as it functions I can't make a claim. I asked him why we were paying for insurance if when we damage our devices we can't make a claim? He went in back and returned with a thick pamphlet explaining what is and is not covered. I told him I can't be expected to read that (it felt demeaning and unhelpful) and recommended before they eagerly sell insurance, they should explain the actual benefits and take out that pamphlet at the point of sale. I asked if I could at least swap out my device. I was under the impression I owned a device already, and he assured me I did not. I asked him to check through my invoices to make sure before we went further- I was sure we were invoiced $600 for that phone in November. I waited ten minutes this next time the man went in the back of the store, I assume to talk to the manager (I think his name is Ben). They both claimed they werent having any luck finding evidence in my invoices that I owned the device and furthermore told me I don't even have insurance on my phone. I said that couldn't be- the last time I was in there I specifically requested it. When I setup my account I asked for a blanket policy on all my devices. They said I had nothing. Now I'm panicked. The manager rolled his eyes at me and said, "Oh yeah, I remember you alright", then denied his team ever helping me - claiming teleservices set me up, insinuating he wasn't responsible for any mix-ups with the insurance policy either. When I challenged him, he asked me what the names of the staff were who set me up back in May. I asked him if he remembers who he talked to during the month of May last year. The last time I was in the store I declined all the extra/add-ons several times, after they tried pushing several more times I had to tell them "enough" instead of caving from the pressure. I assume that's why he remembers me. At this point he told me they weren't going to help me, shamed me for insisting his untrained team provide clarity (I should've just left after they told me my phone wasnt paid for- hindsight's 20/20) and motioned that I leave the store and never come back. I went to the Verizon down the road where they found I did have insurance, that instead of giving me the blanket insurance policy for all devices I asked for, they only put insurance on my tablets (much more costly for me than the blanket policy) This new store was able to give me a blanket policy on all devices saving me a ton of money and within two minutes- found the invoice and confirmed I owned the device. They also let me know that I could totally file a claim for the damage I made to my phone when I dropped it and it would likely be covered.
