I decided to say good bye to a substandard PC and purchase a refurbished one from Jim. He made it convenient and the pricing was awesome. I took the Dell laptop home and was was wowed right away, I spent years working with a very slow PC. But, didn't realize it. The one Jim sold me is a thousand times faster! Jim transferred stuff from my old PC to the "new" one and without me having to remind him he put my wireless mouse attachment from the old lap top. Great work. I am very grateful. I had broken the track pad on my Mac and I brought it back to the best buy I had boughten it from to see what I should do. They told me my very expensive warranty had expired less than a week earlier, and it would cost me about 500 dollars to fix and take about 3 weeks. I went home to go look at all of my options, and a friend of mine told me about computer world. I went in and they diagnosed what was wrong with my computer and estimated that repairs would only be 170 dollars! On top of that, they gave me the number for apple along with their business card to call and ask if apple would cover it, and they did! My repair was completely covered and they estimated 3 DAYS to fix it. I went from paying 500 bucks and waiting 3 weeks to paying nothing and wait 3 days! As long as they are open, I'm not going anywhere else.

Do not go here. I brought two iPods in; I wanted the hold switch from one, put into the other. They…read moreconsistently got confused about which iPod I wanted fixed (even though they were different colors and one was a 120GB and the other a 30GB.) They once called me and asked me to hold without even saying who was calling, then asked about which one I wanted fixed again. I finally called them back and asked if they had switched it; they said yes and they were just going to charge it and test it, then they would call me back. I didn't believe them, so I drove out there. When I arrived they still had not tested it. They plugged it in and said that the battery was bad, even though they themselves checked it when I brought it in. They said they could swap the batteries also; I told them the other battery was bad, which I previously told told them when I brought it in. Then they said they would have to put a new one in. At this point I asked to have my iPods back. I asked again if they had switched the hold switches, to which he replied, yes. I then offered to pay for any labor, but he said, no need. I got home and found out that the battery cable was unplugged! That's why it wouldn't charge. And also that the hold switches had not been switched.... I just tried calling them to inform them of their mistakes and clear up anything, but this time they did not answer my call, and I know they are open. I did leave a message, so I will update if they call back, clear things up, or apologize for this ordeal. Again, do not trust any of your electronics at this store. Very unprofessional. This review is for the Appleton location. UPDATE: I did talk with someone from another store and verified that the part was not changed. Then later Electronics Etc from Appleton called me back and said that the guy who was supposed to change the part, did not in fact do it, and that they thought he did. Respect for them calling me back and trying to make good--that gives them some positive points. I did see some people on facebook give them good reviews. I told them I just wanted them to know what happened and that their customers should not be treated that way. They asked if they could do anything, but I declined. I will not be bringing the iPods back there. More honest communication is needed; I would not have minded waiting longer for them to fix it, but what happened was too much.
