By the time he left, we knew where the rat had gotten in, we had proper traps laid down inside, a plan to clean up sources of food we had thought were secure but were not, as well as a plan for outdoor control. The traps worked within hours, catching and killing the rat. A huge relief. Pricing was also very reasonable. I fully recommend this company.

The monthly bait stations and repellant spray service is awful. They don't want to schedule ahead of time or have a routine day or time of month, they prefer to operate by texting you when a tech is on their way. Not home? They'll just skip anything behind a gate and charge you the same $148. It took me months to get them to agree to tell me the day before a tech was scheduled to come (and still no time given in advance.) Apparently, they think everyone with a gated backyard stays home all day every day and can allow access when they decide to show up on a whim. This past July I contacted them via email to see if I could change from a monthly schedule to every other month. No reply. I called multiple times and if I was able to talk to someone, they would tell me they'd talk to their manager and call me back. When the tech came mid August, I told him the trouble I was having and was insured someone would contact me. They didn't. On September 2nd they finally emailed me and said we could switch every other month. 9 days later, they charged me again (despite having come in August.) I emailed them and asked them to refund the charge or apply it to the following month. Not only did they never reply, a tech didn't come out at all in September. I began emailing and calling, emails went unanswered and the woman I would speak to on the phone always had to talk to someone else and call me back. She still, to this day, has never had anyone call me back. On October 11th, they charged me again. I then called again and told the girl who answered to cancel my subscription and refund me the $296 they'd charged me for and not provided service. Her answer was "oh I can't process refunds, I'll have to talk to my manager and have them call you back." I told her that was more of the same BS, and if I didn't receive my refund within a week I'd dispute the charges they my bank, as that's fraud. I'm sure you'll be SHOCKED to hear I didn't receive a call OR a refund. On October 17th I received an automated email saying my subscription with them was canceled, but no refund. They didn't even mention it. That's the last I've heard anything from them. I contacted my bank to dispute the charges, and the process is still ongoing. If you value your time and money, don't hire this company; they respect neither.

Lee Gillings, my Woody's Termite Control inspector, should teach classes for the termite industry. For example, did you know the approximate age of a contractors license can be seen in their number? Did you know that most "inaccessible areas" can actually be locally treated without tenting? Did you know that, a visual inspection is insufficient? Inspectors SHOULD poke, prod, knock on, and break exterior wood to inspect properly? Properly inspected and executed, local treatment can last much longer than tenting. After tenting, termites can come back the next day and you still have to repair tunnel/dry rot damage anyway! The expert father/son team of wood carpenters Ulyses and Jarred, treated and repaired my soffit/fascia board damage and painted without removing gutters. Awesome! Hoyong treated subterranean termites and soaked all exposed wood with Boracare, a sprayed foam product that makes exposed wood unpalatable to termites and too acidic for dry rot. Since then I've called them at least yearly for outdoor spraying for ants, etc. Again excellent service and no complaints. This time I saw a rat around what turned out to be a basement opening (broken screen) and called them to inspect and see what they could do. I acknowledge that they did do a thorough inspection, found no evidence of rats inside and said they could close several openings to basement around the house. Unfortunately this work seemed substandard; one small opening was missed and another opening in the front of the house was done badly and then claimed that it was not part of the job. We were not happy either with the substandard job or the high fee which on retrospect was completely out of reasonable bounds. They admitted that mistakes were made and they did offer a small refund. Subsequently they have refused to increase the amount of a refund. As a result of this, which admittedly may have resulted from miscommunication on both our sides, I will be hesitant to call them again for any pest control. Sad.
