We have had a space here for about two consecutive years. We had to switch from a small to a large at one point, and customer service was great. Today, we needed to rent another space, and once again the customer service was fantastic. A shout out to Antoine (spelling?) for his A++ service at the front desk. He had to stay a few minutes late in order to finish our rental agreement as we ran late getting to the facility due to high traffic issues. Antoine had such a great personality! We moved from this facility due to increasing rates despite the facility never improving and terrible customer service. Specifically: 1. Many times, no one at the office during office hours 2. Increasing rates - our rate has nearly doubled in less than 2 years while the customer service continues to decline and the facility is not maintained 3. Lack of response to emails, despite repeated requests for reply 4. The poor manner in which a missed payment was handled - 9 emails in 20 minutes, each with increasing threatening tone, allowing no opportunity to reply 5. I thought it was decent. I didn't experience any of the horror stories people posted here. It gets super busy on the weekends which sucks but overall good. They don't tell you that they require insurance which is bought through them but other than that my experience was great. read more

I have been with US Storage for going on 2 years. I've had numerous horrible incidents in which one had to be handled by the district manager. 1) gate code was never reset after making a payment even after calling that morning to ensure it would be reset because I was paying someone with a truck to move some items in for me. Showed up and couldn't get in. Wasted my time and money and had to come back and rehire someone. 2) gate code again wasn't reset days after making a payment and showed up to the unit. Had to sit in the hot sun for a hour with my children while on the phone getting in resolved. Asked for a prorated option this month as I'm moving out on the 7th and payment is due by the 5th for the entire month. When asking to speak to upper management in regards to my last encounter with the gate and about the prorated month Shana, store manager, of this location refuses to put me in touch with her supervisor or to give me the information to corporate. She lied and said management had called me in which there's ZERO missed calls in my log from the last 72 hours. Also while going through some of my items there was mouse feces and urine causing me to have to throw some items away. I can't wait to be away from this nightmare and I suggest you spend your money at a different facility. Customer service here is horrendous. read more

Do not move your items to any of these facilities. This is all a scam they will give you an upfront rate. Which sounds very good, then 2 months into it. They will raise your rent more than a 100%. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but they raised my rent from $88 a month to a $150 a month. And the managers ridiculous solution for me was to move all of my items out of that unit into another unit of the same size for the same price that I was paying before wow and don't bother calling the corporate office because they will not respond nor will they talk to you in any way not even to. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY...SCAM! Exton, PA location- moved in 1 unit in April gave a half price for the first month, 2nd month regular price. I asked if there would be a price increase after that and they said minimal, and it would be down the line. Ok understand that. Very first weekend, they had a break in, and when they processed our paperwork, they made mistakes so we had to fill out a whole new set. That should have been our clue. Went in to get a second unit over the summer to combine some items with family, same situation..except they also locked us out of gate access to both units when they processed the second units paperwork. Within one month of the second unit, we received notices that our units would be going up 61% each. What???!!! That's highway robbery! When we complained they gave us one unit at at a discount on the new price for what they said a few months..again they lied..already got the notice for the increase coming next month. I will tell everyone I know to not to use these greedy, people. So disappointed. I think there's a law on how much you can increase a unit...maybe it's time to look into that! read more

I had everything I owned in a unit which was being auctioned. The 1 star is for the email I received regarding a pay and leave option, which I most definitely took! We will start with the day I walked in to pay cash and dealt with an extremely rude girl called Shaday, and how happy she was to tell me my unit has been sold! She continued to argue with me over things that made no sense... imagine loosing everything, very important things, and someone pretty much laughing in your face that's supposed to help you... So disappointed. The facility on Columbus Blvd is not climate controlled even though advertised as such. Read the small print of contract before placing your belongings at this storage facility. Not only was my furniture full of mold but there were also rodent droppings everywhere. This is not the place you want to store your furniture . Management not helpful and quite frankly disrespectful. During our move out, when mold was discovered, we were informed that we could not place the items that were dangerous to us and our movers into the dumpster. The manager would rather have moldy items in the storage facility--exposing all other units to mold--rather than having them disposed of. Do NOT rent a unit from this center. It is a complete scam they will NOT close out your account and continue to bill you even after you leave!!!!!! I moved out of the unit on 6/27 called 2 days before the move out and representative said it was all good no further action needed just make sure it was cleaned out and the lock was removed. For the last 10 days they have sent automated messages in texts and emails that I have a past due balance even though I have called 10 times to get the account closed. Save yourself the hassle and find another unit!!!!! read more

Mike, the manager, was soo helpful and made the process so easy. He even helped me with some of my moving materials. The storage area is really clean, easy to access, and they provide dollys to make it easier to transport. Definitely would recommend these guys for your storage needs. read more

I went back and rented a unit at this location against my better judgment. I used to rent several large units here, but they raised the rents and with trouble accessing the units at different times of the day together with rude employees at the front desk I decided to rent elsewhere. I decided to give it another chance with a small unit recently, but what a mistake. They have a few employees who are very nice (the man who helped me rent the unit) but some are so downright rude it's infuriating. I called because I could not remember my gate code and have to send some employees there and I am far away. Keisha, the woman who answered the phone was immediately rude and said she couldn't give the code. I was starting to ask her, politely, if I could somehow verify my info and she said "I'm not giving you the code" and hung up on me. My employees went there, and we managed to guess the code but had some trouble with the key. Keisha was extremely rude to them in the office. One does not speak English very well and she said "I don't have time for this" and started helping someone else. When they asked if they could cut the lock she said if they cut the lock she would call the police. My employee, who is named on the account, asked her to cut the lock for them (for a charge of $40) and she said that she was "too busy" and they would have to return tomorrow (Sunday, a day they do not work). It's beyond me how someone could be so rude and combative right from the start. I will be vacating my unit as I don't wish to give this location any more of my business. They should definitely hire more professional people to work at the front desk. From 1pm to 4 Keisha was apparently "too busy" even though for a large portion of that time there were no customers in the office. She also said to come back tomorrow only between 10-10:30am but she "wasn't sure how busy she'd be then either". I called the main number and they said they escalated it to a district manager. They told me to send my employees back and they would insist that she cut the lock. They returned and she told them- now at around at 2pm- that there was "no way she was cutting the lock today". They waited there, since we were told to return, for the district manager to contact her. I called the main number and spoke to someone else two more times. Both times they promised I would get a call back and someone would open. My employees waited there until 3:30, when Keisha told them to move the car because they were "blocking the entry"- even though they were parked on the side and nobody was coming in and out- and she closed the gates early (it's supposed to be open until 4 today). Now after 4, I still have not received a call back from upper management. I now have paid $400 for my employees time to not be able to do what they were supposed to today and to have them waiting there and now will have to pay an entire other month of rent because it's Memorial Day weekend and they don't work tomorrow so can't empty the unit. The owners should be ashamed of hiring someone this rude and lazy. Stay far far away. read more

This was our first experience in using off site storage and were impressed with the size of the facility and the responsiveness of the office staff. We arrived not knowing what to expect and found a clean, safe and roomy parking lot and facility. The business office was spacious and welcoming with 2 very knowledgeable and courteous workers. Mike was very informative and explained our storage options and payment choices. We toured the storage unit area as we were not sure what size space we needed and found the space very large but very well laid out with each aisle having a name so you knew where you were at all times. The storage facility provides dollies and carts to help move your stuff. We decided which size we needed, Mike filled out all the paperwork for us, and moved our stuff in moments later. The security of the facility and parking areas are good and I would have no problem going to my storage space alone. I would definitely recommend this facility. Great Experience so far. read more
