There's nothing customer service about this place. They are rude, lackadaisical, pompous, and arrogant.... Not to mention condescending and spiteful. They expect people to know their protocol without them explaining anything to us. If one store or service tells us one thing, they say that's not how it's done here...even though that's how the business told us to do things. If they have a problem with consistency, they need to talk to each other instead of making the effort, agitation, and aggravation go toward the customer. Rude employees! I saw the bad reviews and I thought oh all I need to do is drop a few things. When I had initially set up a return, it said that the USPS would tape my box and print the label. They said they couldn't do anything. And another package that was completely taped up. I just wanted to track and receipt and they said they couldn't do that either. So what can you do?! Nothing! Visiting this location on Saturday, February 1, 2025 as I approached the main entrance doors, I noticed that the silver frame surrounding the glass near near the lock and where people customarily grasp the door frame of the door had a filthy, grimy film from years of people touching it. Yuck. You would think that someone, possibly the janitorial staff , or perhaps an employee could have cleaned this with soap and water with disinfectant, ..not trying ask anything unreasonable here, but it is often difficult just to have employees fulfill everyday requests for routine postal service with a good attitude from staff...that these areas and surfaces would be cleaned on a daily basis with disinfectant; I won't hold my breath though. Another door (pictured) the surface of the aluminum frame where people frequently touch it was scratched and scored... remember.. this is a government building which we should have pride in as Americans, yet the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE appears to have tossed tht notion to the wind. Lastly, one of the doors (also pictured) was permanently ajar as the closure device was sprung or damaged enough that the door was open 2-3 inches continuously day and night... think of the $$$$$ wasted in heating and cooling year round and paid for by American taxpayers. Oh well, that must not matter . Thank you for the opportunity to share my visit. Again , I won't hold my breath that something will be done to correct any of these items listed above as it is a struggle just to have postal workers perform their assigned duties. read more

If I could leave a less the zero rating, I would. Absolutely the worst post office I have ever been to. The older asian woman who works there is a bitch. When I tell friends my experience, everyone says "the older asian woman! I know exactly who you are talking about!". It doesn't matter who the manager is. It is one lazy POS after another. They never have multiple rolls of stamps and when I ask for the manager to get the key to get more stamps, the answer is always the same. They aren't there or they are "busy". I just went to the post office on Town and Country Way. It was clean and had no long line. Ask for 23 rolls of stamps and she didn't shout @ me. She calmly grabbed an envelope and counted out 23 rolls of stamps. No drama. And it was clean. The SL post office is a mess. If you go around back to get mailing containers, there are multiple containers blown up against the fence that have been there forever. Trash is stuffed into random ones that are on the sidewalk. No pride whatsoever in the job they do. read more

I usually try to use the automated postage machines at this location. But I have to say it is the worst. They are either out of paper or the dropbox where you put your package after you purchase priority mailing is continually broken. Especially on weekends, there's no place to leave your package after you've paid priority mail prices! If you're going to have automated machines and push your clients to using these self-service machines, the least you can do is fix the dropbox so someone can leave their package! Listen, the employees here simply do not care. They don't care about any customers or any negative reviews. They really don't. They are the type of people who are happy if you tell them you're never coming back. They have -that- kind of attitude and the USPS is not enforcing anything so the overall company also does not care. I am writing this review purely for other people who are looking for a post office so they know to just avoid this location entirely. I have had multiple issues with sending back prepaid packages (time sensitive ones like from StitchFix where if they don't get it in time they charge me for items) and this location literally never sends my packages out at a reasonable time. I sent in my voter registration a month ago from this place and they simply lost it which is a federal crime. They don't care about you. Most post offices suck, but this one is probably the worst. You're better off going to another location and paying a couple extra dollars in gas. Protect yourself and your property because I highly doubt this location will ever close. So like I said, this review is simply a warning to everyone to avoid this place. read more

I went this morning to pay my PO BOX (i was the 3rd person in line at 9:10am, they opened at 9) and the guy at the counter whose name is Patel was VERY RUDE! I had just walked up and was asking if I could renew for 3 months. He told me I could only do a 6 month renewal or a 12 month renewal. As I was about to say that I would go ahead and get the 6 month renewal he said "HURRY UP THERE ARE PEOPLE WAITING." This was the worse experience in my life . Patel was so rude and walked away . His manager Cindy was even worse . She told me if I don't use self service she will call the police. I preprinted my label waited in line to drop off my package and all I wanted was a receipt because the package is important to me as I told them. They did not help me at all and walked away from the line just not to help me. I felt disrespected and I waited over 20 minutes 8 months pregnant just for them to walk away and not help me. I would have given it 0 stars if that were possible. This is an awful post office, consistently over the 20 years I've been here. The customer service is rude and minimal, usually not enough people manning positions and rude when you get there. Now the facility is becoming really rundown. The outside door to go in was broken for months, screeching every time it was opened. They finally fixed it and now the outside door going out is out of order and you have to go out through the door in. The shipping machines are out of order a large percentage of the time. Now there's a broken tile in the lobby, with no attempt to secure it or anything. You find it when you're in line by stepping on it. read more

Both of the kiosks had a line and the Arab lady at the counter was free so she waved me over and I set my package on the counter and she looked at it dumbfounded and told me to scan it in at the kiosk and I told her they were busy and she told me she was going to scan it in because it had a prepaid label. Like I may be wrong but isn't that her job? To scan packages.. pretty sure that's in their job description anyways. I left the package with her and told her I didn't need a receipt since I have the receipt online. Seems like everyone's getting lazy and doesn't want to do their jobs anymore. They require you to tape your packages prior to shipping. However, don't have any tape for you to purchase either. The worker didn't have any customer service care to even offer to tape it sense they don't have any for sale. This is why people get angry and resort to violence. It's the lack of care and concern for others people's time that's infuriating after waiting 15 min in line to be told they can't ship it because it's not taped. Meanwhile- a commercial grade taper sits beside her incompetent hand. Despicable behavior and will not be returning to this location and recommend no one else either. read more

The worst service ever. I tried to pickup a package at a non busy time. There were two clerks at front but none one tried to help. One shut the pickup window on my face. I rang the bell dozen times and waited at least 15 minutes. At the end i just kept on ringing the bell till someone shows up. The supervisor told me they have never heard the bell which was a lie because he finally showed up at the window with one other person. He and other staff were all very rude. Wish it was possible to give negative stars. Whatever you do, Don't get a PO box here. You'll seriously regret it. They are horrible; every last employee. I have never ever waited for less than 15 min to pick up a package. The employees removed the buzzer from the door where you receive packages or other services. So, you rely on the employees at the counter to walk to the back and ask someone to come to the door, which just won't happen. I have also never had an employee be polite. I smile and am nice and have everything I need filled out and ready to go anytime (this isn't rocket science) and I'm not expecting them to be nice, but just polite would be good. Quit if you hate your job. They take forever to process mail. I'll get a notification that UPS or Fedex have dropped off a package and it will take around 3 days before I'll get a notice in my box. Once, they left a notice and then returned my my package 2 days later because I hadn't picked it up. Also extremely frustrating, the door on the side of the building used to access your PO Boxes more conveniently is ALWAYS locked. It is supposed to be unlocked 24/7. It's Never ever once been unlocked in the last year that I have been frequenting here. I have asked several times why and have literally been told by a manager, "I don't know." Will they please start to unlock it like they are required to do? "I don't know." I used to have a box at another location that I never formally complained about, but really disliked and thought was incompetent. This location truly makes me miss them though. Sometimes I really hate this USPS branch, sometimes I am quite grateful for it. My opinion doesn't really matter though because this is my go-to post office and it's unlikely to relocate or change any time soon. So yeah - I've had a mail clerk or two be extremely rude to me and others and I'm just aghast wondering how they get away with it. Governmental job security - that's how. But then I've experienced these very same clerks be as sweet as can be. I suppose the mood/attitude fluctuation can be attributed to the likely true stereotype - that the job can be frustrating and people can get quite irate if you happen to lose their package and whatnot. Anyway yes, long lines should be expected around opening and lunchtime, but sometimes even beyond those hours. It's really anyone's guess. The automated machines are super if you wish to mail domestically (and not media mail), but I've noticed they've been out of order more frequently than they should. If you really need to go to this post office, I highly suggest bringing a book or something perchance you encounter a perpetually long line. It'll distract you from the frustration other customers are possibly experiencing and hopefully ease the slow passage of time. read more

As I'm home for the holidays, I'm trying to start the new year right by decluttering the house and making some money on ebay by selling off old crap we never use, and never will use. I came here today with my dad because he said it's the biggest and nicest post office around here. I rolled in here and there had to be about 30 people in the longest line with maybe only 2 workers manning the counter. Normally I wouldn't have to wait in line because I printed out all of my postage at home. I saved some money and time, but unfortunately one of the suckers... er I mean customers buying my junk was from Canada. I printed out the customs form, but I needed a clear sleeve from the post office to tape to the box. Some post offices are well stocked with supplies such as boxes and labels, but unfortunately, this was not one of them. EVERYTHING was empty. No boxes, just a bunch of scraps from the peel off labels were here. I had to wait in line to get an envelope from one of the employees. I had about 20 boxes of junk to mail off, and I dropped all of them in the mailbox. After I did that, I noticed a sign stating that all packages over 13 oz must be dropped off with a postal employee... luckily there was a postal worker fixing the automated machine. He said it's all good and go ahead and drop them all off in the mail box. 2* due to the super long wait, long line, lack of supplies for customers. Next time I'll just order everything online, because the USPS will even deliver this crap to your house for free or a low fee! read more

Horrible service stood in line to give the lady my already stamped package. Because after I used their kiosk & I got ready to put my package into the drop box for large packages it was closed & it read out of service. I told her this & yet she refused to take my package. She pointed to the corner & said that I could put it there. Mind you I did not want to place it there because it was just putting it on the floor and I thought that we were just creating extra work for someone else. She said to take it up with the postmaster. If I could give it a 0 star rating I would. Shipped a box - priority mail a week ago. Tracked it throughout the week and saw it go back and forth between Sugar Land and Houston sorting center 4 times. Talked to an associate at the SL USPS. He said the box is on its way to the correct address (San Diego CA). The next day it was returned to Sugar Land! Back to the USPS Sugar Land associate He denied talking to me the day before. Then he turned around and found the box 15 minutes later w the full tracking history. He said it would be taken care of. He said he would make sure it got to its destination. Tracking shows the package being delivered 30 minutes later to Sugar Land (and not San Diego). I never received it. Horrible experience. Extremely poor customer service. Now I have to file an insurance claim on it. Should be more fun. read more
