It is taking 6 weeks on a rush order and 5 months on a new or standard renew. The last time I renewed my passport it took two weeks on a non rush. So yes, this is an issue. If you have a trip planned and you need a passport make sure to go over 6 months prior to your trip. Most people in the big cities here have had to go to a rural or close by smaller town to get them done if not renewing by mail. Sadly, I needed to get a new passport and could not renew by mail. Phoenix was booked for months so It was an appointment here or in Globe. With the fires and longer drive I decided Wickenburg might be faster and easier. It took me about two weeks ahead to get an appointment so not bad. My friend drove me which was very nice of her. It took 1 hour and ten minutes to get there. They are very good about telling you you need to get there ten minutes early so do not be late. The other reviewer who was upset he was late did not follow directions. They are back to back on Appts and very clear on tardiness. The email they sent me was very thorough on the directions and what I had to bring to get my passport. The Post Office is easy to find since the office is right on Wickenburg Way. The staff was great. Theresa helped me with my appointment and she was very efficient, kind, and very friendly. It was a painless experience and I enjoyed chatting with Theresa, a delightful human. Thanks all! Be safe!

This office is always clean and the parking lot easy to navigate. I've been here many times and I prefer this office to any others in the area. It seems to me that some of the complainers haven't had to deal with other post office locations that can be much busier.
