The credit union has been the best for customer service, account handling and loans. One important thing to not is that the credit unions fees are less than other banks. More than that, they are more willing to work with you and even reverse or reduce fees depending on the situation. They are not a rigid, uncaring corporate entity like most banks. Unlike every bank and financial institution I have ever dealt with (outside of Discover) if you have a serious finacial emergency due to medical hardship, they even have a program to defer loan, payments and costs for up to a few months while you get your affairs in order. I used that service and it kept me from going under. No one else has that. Their online billpay is not as sophisticated as say BOA, but is works well too. All of these factors have added up and now this is the only institution (outside of Discover) that I choose to do business with.
