I am grateful we even have a OpenOffice and I still have a po box! The "postal service/DeJoy" has managed- in Toluca Lake.. To CLOSE THAT POST OFFICE, relocate ALL the boxes 2 miles away in another city, and torn out pretty much every mailbox on Riverside Drive in that entire area! So when they closed the amazing San Vicente post office and gave us this small, struggling, sincere, STILL LOCAL PO...I'm just grateful, knowing what can actually happen and "their" 3 decade fight to PRIVATIZE the US Postal Service (yeah 30 years!). This office is a joke! I've had a PO Box there for years, and after being out of town for a while, and not getting the mail forwarded that I requested, i checked my P.O. Box. Not only was there absolutely NOTHING in it, but I could see on the office's side that they had a plastic cover over the opening so that they didn't put anything in it. When I went to the clerk, I got about 5 different answers, before she told me that no one is really running the office and they've had 217 complaints from P.O. Box customers about their mail not being delivered and lost. I truly think they've just thrown my mail away. When I complained through the channels at usps.com, I got a very generic, dishonest response with no answers or accountability. I've been paying around $300 a year for them to lose/steal my mail, including business mail. It is unreliable and dangerous to depend on this post office. It's a scam, and they need to be shut down and held accountable. read more

I've always had good, quick service. Yesterday, 2 of my media mail packages got returned to me at my house with stickers on them. I went to the clerk asking about it and she went to the manager in back. The manager came out and said I need to pay 2x more to get my mail back. I said that I already had my mail (the 2 packages were returned to me and I took them to the post office). She had them in her hand and said I have to pay to get them back and asked how I knew about media mail. I replied I always did media mail. Anyway, she said she wasn't going to give them back to me because the rules are that I have to pay more for them to be returned to me. Again, I stated that I was there inquiring why they were returned to me because I paid for them there and the postage was supposed to be correct. She said she wasn't going to give them back to me and walked away with my packages in hand without a word. The clerk turned to me and said sorry. The Manager STOLE my mail! Had a horrible experience here. The clerks are non-communicative and don't seem to want to help. When I asked for help, the first clerk was unhelpful, the second was rude. Inefficient and unpleasant - I should have been in there for two minutes, not 20. This is why USPS is losing business to UPS and FedEx. I avoid USPS because of experiences like the one I just had - I don't get why I was treated with contempt when I'm just trying to mail a package. Horrible place. read more

This location is in West Hollywood on doheny drive, it is one of the smaller post office locations. It's definitely a great location if you're looking to get in and out earlier in the morning as that is golden hour for visiting this location. Gonzalez was definitely having a bad day & decided to give his customers horrible service. I asked if he had tape to tape my package and he said no you have no buy it which is no problem at all but then he had an attitude & said especially for returns. Like if he was looking down on me for returning an item. I attempted to purchase a roll of stamps & it was like he did not want to sell anything to me. He said out of roll sorry next. First of all, let me finish. Second of all, I asked ok what do you have available & he said sheets but he wasn't going to sell them to me. I guess it was my lucky day, I had a great experience at this location. I got there pretty early in the morning and there was no line and plenty of metered parking right in front. Evelyn was helpful getting my packages sent out. I was in and out in ten minutes. I'll definitely come back to this location for my future postal needs! read more

Poor Customer Service!!! I think the USPS should look into this location as their employees here need to be re-trained at their customer service skills. Please read all their negative reviews as they are all true. This isn't my main post office but I have only been at this location a hand full of times and every experience has been terrible. First off, they lost my Ebay package I sent off a few months ago. Recently I had a problem with a package that was sent out and returned. Their supervisor Michael La Bomme is very terrible at his job, and will never answer his phone or emails. As for the employees, Shawnny and the other front girl, maybe you should care less about your nails and more about treating your customers nicely and please loose the attitude. Your in a job dealing with people everyday, maybe you need to think a how a little friendly customer service goes a long way. Says open at 9am Monday- Friday and I have come here several times and it's closed past 9:15 am. Staff is rude and not helpful.

Without Susan in charge the place is a shambles. Counter service is appalling. Some employees try to put on a nice face, but mostly it seems they really resent their job. Often mail does not get delivered from Crescent Heights facility for days, so PO Boxes sit empty. Here's what they stuck on the door a couple of days ago: OUT TO LUNCH. BACK IN THIRTY MINUTES. I wish I could combine two reviews together. Earlier in the day Monday I went to mail a package and card at the Fairfax location (just two blocks from my place). I spent 20 minutes in line hoping that I would get to the front of the line where the ONE employee would help me. After 20 minutes I cut my losses and left. At about 3:45 I went to the location on Doheny in hopes that I would have better luck. Instead, I encountered this small sign and locked doors (inside). Apparently, staffing is an issue here too because this location had to CLOSE for lunch (reopening at 4:00). I tried to use the self service machine but wasn't confident about it so I got back in line. Because I was third in line, I must have told 10 customers that they were closed until 4:00 when they walked in and exclaimed "ARE THEY CLOSED?!" 4:00 came and went and at 4:14 the ONE employee sauntered up to the door and let people in. At this point I was first in line, as the two people in front of me had left. Without an apology or any sort of acknowledgment I was asked how can I help you. After I asked if I could send my envelope first class was given a price for priority mail. When I questioned the price, I was told that it was slightly over the weight limit. This was her only acknowledgment that I wasn't able to send it the way I wanted. I decided that the best thing for everyone concerned was to leave quickly so that the huge line behind me could get their business taken care of. It's no wonder that the post office is in trouble. It's big, it's dirty, it's pretty slow, and the woman who waited on me absolutely ignored me when I approached the window for a solid, awkward 90 seconds before making any kind of attempt to engage. They're never open when you need them they close in the middle of the day and you can't even drop off your packages because the box is locked during business hours. Absolutely horrendous service! Don't go here if you can help it, the employees are thieves. Someone at this location committed a FEDERAL OFFENSE and opened my mail and stole a gift card from it. I live less than a block from this location and have had nothing but terrible service here. The employees are rude, slow, and inattentive. Most of the time, they're staring at their phones instead of servicing customers and look completely annoyed by being asked to do their job. And now, someone from this location has stolen from me. I previously rented a PO Box here but I got tired of the worthless employees shoving junk mail that wasn't even addressed to me into it, to the point that all my actual mail was bent and crumpled. My sister mistakenly sent a greeting card with $50 gift card to this old PO Box address. The card was forwarded to my current address instead of being sent back to her, even though it had a RETURN TO SENDER stamp on it. When I received the card, the envelope was ripped, damaged, had been opened and resealed with scotch tape...and of course, the $50 gift card was missing. I HATE this post office. The people who work here are the epitome of why people HATE post offices. I came in with a tote full of prepaid packages to drop off. I pulled out only 5 that needed immediate scan in. ZERO PEOPLE IN LINE. I dump the bag into the receiving bin and asked the useless lady at the counter to scan in only 5. She says "i don't have to but I'll do it for you this time". I asked what she means she doesn't HAVE TO. She goes on saying "i don't make the rules". I don't know if the management here treats their employees horribly, or if bad things are happening in each of the three workers personal lives, but on the day I visited they were so awful it nearly brought tears to my eyes. The office is also regularly running out of stock of common items like money orders. Do yourself a favor and go over to the Maple Drive (Beverly Hills) or Bicentennial Branch (Miracle Mile) instead. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! I dropped off a pre labeled package and placed it on the counter where the rude employee told me to place it. She did not scan it in. When I checked the tracking the next day it was still not scanned. 100% stolen. This also happened to me about 2 years ago. I shipped a item that I sold on eBay. After inquiring about international forms i was told "we ran out, we can't ship anything other than packages and mail in the united states". This post office need to be shut down, I need my meds to be sent to my mailing address and it is very important for me to get it on time due to health reason. The hospital sent me the medication thru package by mail and I didn't get it for the 3rd time! They said wrong address but for some reason. Try giving them a call -- on their local phone number, not the 800 number, where a call back can take 45 minutes. They don't answer the local phone number. Then again, call the .
