The gentlemen at the counter was super helpful and friendly, walked me through the paperwork I needed to fill out and explained everything to me. Come here often and despite extended waits bc they truly give every customer great service and usually have limited staffing, it's always wonderful service. Roy and Ric are awesome, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's usually very clean and well kept unless customers let their animals tear up. Update: My credit card was delivered 1 week late so it had been sitting somewhere at the post office for 5 days. Then, it was postmarked and delivered. Was supposed to receive a credit card in the mail 2 days ago and it still hasn't arrived. The credit card company said card was "delivered." I believe it may be stolen and it never ended up in my mailbox so somewhere along the route it went missing. I also had a check sent to someone nearby and that has gone missing as well. read more

I got here at 8:30 AM and waited 30 minutes for them to open. By 9:05 still nobody was there. At 9:10 someone very slowly and lazily showed up. I went in specifically to make sure that my online printed label (for an eBay sale) was correct. He put my package on the scale, weighed my package and entered my label into the system. He said everything was ok. I left. The next day the package got delivered BACK TO ME! Saying it weighed more than what was on the label. This was a large package and I had payed $125 for this label that was now "used". They told me to create a new label (and I guess pay again?). I called USPS which took over an hour to get to speak to a general representative as the phone number noted sends you to that. She said that I needed to call the post office and gave me their number. I have been repeatedly calling them and nobody answers. (Which has been my experience with every Post Office over the years.) I don't even know why they still exist. I had to stand in line to get a customs form as there were no forms in the lobby. Then stepped aside to fill it out. When returning to the counter, she told me I had to stand in line again to get service. Really? that has previously never been my experience to get back into line. When I mentioned this to a customer in line, the clerk responded by saying the is the everyone has to stand in line. Thank goodness I didn't need any other forms for this package, or I would have had to get into line again? To her credit, the line did move smoothly. I'm kind of bummed out with the Beverly Hills post office system. It just seems to be getting smaller and smaller and may one day disappear all together. There used to be 3 mailboxes outside of the post office and places to pull over. Now there is only 1 mailbox and very limited places to pull over to drop your mail in said box. And, of course, there's always going to be some inconsiderate person on their phone who won't move out of the only space available. My dear Post Office, Please bring back the old mailboxes and more spots to drop off your mail and/or have a mailbox where you can just stick your mail in from the street as you drive by. I don't like to have to go into the parking lot and into the post office just to mail one lousy letter. So inconvenient. Please have some mercy on your customers. This once large and impressive post office has shrunk down to a little hole in the wall outpost. They do have a free parking lot which is a plus but it's also half the size it used to be. Beverly Hills has downgraded on the postal service. Both Beverly Hills post offices could also benefit from more staff. Expect a line at most times of the day. read more

I needed to send out my wedding invitations that I spent 5,000 dollars on. I was told that I needed $6 worth of stamps. I purchased them and placed them on each and every box, while at the post office. They were then well received by the two women working. One woman asked if I needed to track them. However the other stepped in and stated that wedding invitations were not normally tracked and it would look tacky. I assume they did not want to process the 76 boxes. Later to find out from another post office that they shouldn't have taken them with the specific wedding labels. It's been less than 24 hours and I already started receiving these boxes back. It has been stressful and a waste of my time. These women did not pay attention to detail. Upon my return they said the boxes will either get there or they won't. No tracking number or any way to know. They said some will either come to my house or they won't. It has been a horrible experience. It was also a big waste of money. I just hope my invitations get to where they need to go. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of attention to detail of these workers and lack of empathy or guidance after the fact. I'd love to speak someone that can help. I need my invitations to get to their destination. read more

I can understand why all the low ratings here. I've had my good days and slow days here, but over all, this is my favorite PO among all the POs in BH. So what makes it a 4 star PO? My favorite self service machine of course!! This machine basically does it all. I seriously don't really go to the counter anymore. So why not give it a 5 star then? Well, at times this machine really needs some TLC which without it, it sure can be down for a while. When it's down, this place can have some MAJOR wait times in line. In addition to the self service machine, there are plenty of underground parking, street parking and a mail drop on 3rd. So all and all, this is actually one of the better POs anywhere I've been in the neighborhood. I am sure the people who work there are doing their best. However with the US Postal pretty much going bankrupt, I hate to see more good people without jobs. Terrible service and policy at USPS. Had to ship a return of an order I had received in a FedEx box. Had the label printed and the box taped. I was told they could t ship a parcel in a FedEx box because they are competition and they don't promote FedEx!! Had to open the box and use another one. I was asked to purchase a piece of tape for $1.75 because I had to break the tape of my original box. It is sad. Good think there is competition and we can go to more customer focused vendors!!! read more

They are understaffed. I have been waiting for my P.O. Box lock cylinder to be replaced for over a month now; they told me the one person that could do it was "out", then "on vacation". Nice man works Saturdays to get my mail, but he can't do any trouble-shooting because he's on loan from another location. I ring the bell in the back on Saturdays, and three out of four time there is no one there. Staff that is there is very polite and professional, or this rating would be worse. read more

This used to be my favorite post office growing up- it's local, I can walk my packages there. And I have to go to the post office DAILY!! Even though things have majorly changed these past few years, a few of my Asian girls still worked the counter. Now, they are all gone... every last one of them. These past 3 months, with the new staff, and no one caring about anything... it's been HORRIBLE!!! THREE packages have been lost in 2 months!!! That's never ever ever happened until this new staff has come in. They don't scan packages like they used to have too. Beware. It's a risk. It really sucks being a Beverly Hills resident and having to deal with this kind of government BS. I am out money. I am out product. And it just looks really really bad as a seller, and it's not even my fault. Sad sad sad. Been coming here for many years. Always clean and organized. Easy in, easy out. The best part is there's never a lot of traffic. The postal workers can be moody and difficult, especially if it's near closing time, in which case they won't budge an inch in helping anyone with anything...unless it's my mom coming on the scene because she's more difficult than they are, and they just want her out. LOL. At the same time there's never any hassles in getting mail from my box. If you're going to take awhile in here, be very mindful of the metered parking, and parking enforcement. One of the less busy post offices I've been to, and they have easy parking. The customer service was not good. The employee was very snippy and condescending. If this weren't the closest location to me, I wouldn't come back. However, I'm not sure I've ever had a good customer experience at a post office, so maybe it's just par for the course. read more

Why is this post office rated so terribly? Parking- easy for BH (either in front at meters or usually they have a free garage on lower level as well) they've been doing some construction lately so I've been parking at the meters and unsure on the status of the lot but it's usually open. Service- it's fine, not always super fast but they are friendly. They also get yelled at for various reasons ... They've never lost my mail and they do have a line sometimes but it never takes more than ten minutes at around noon or 1 pm when I've been. read more

Worse post office ever! The people doesn't not even trying to find the address and this is a matter of life and death. Every time my prescription mail to me, the problem keeps coming up. I called the corporate, then the processing center, then straight to their office. The problem is the office. Nobody is answering the phone, mail box is full and no respond. Even if you go there, nobody wants to take responsibility! This people doesn't not know about customer service and this place should be shut down, after all it's a private company and it's not run by the government. As far as US post offices go, the Maple Drive location in Beverly Hills has so much going for it. PROS: - ample, free parking in the subterranean garage - metered street parking (credit card and coin operated) - beautiful building, large and easy to navigate - available PO boxes However, as is the case with so many post offices, there are many cons that can potentially tip the sh-- balance against the pros, including: - Typically only three clerks serve patrons at any one time (even "prime post-office time" weekdays during the lunch hour) despite there being six or seven registers. The dearth of clerks would be totally understandable in light of the state of the economy, but the snippiness and rudeness of many of the employees is inexcusable. Although perhaps only two postal workers might be serving customers, you'll see several others milling about behind the service area, apparently not doing anything crucial because they're having personal (often inappropriate and profane) conversations with one another. - There is only one self-service postage machine, and if it's not broken it's easily the most popular place for people to stand in line to mail their boxes or letters because they want to avoid the clerks. - Back to the topic of the employees... Some of them are really, really nice, and it's a shame that many of their colleagues behave so unprofessionally. I live nearby so by default this is the post office I use, and I've been here often. During those visits I've witnessed a male employee whiz past a woman in a wheelchair on the way into the office, and let the door slam in her face rather than hold it open for her. I've seen 5:00pm come on a Wednesday, and the "head clerk" suddenly announce "we're closed" to people who'd wasted ten or fifteen minutes (or more!) standing in line. -- and then she'd only grudgingly consent to asking her colleague to lock the doors (as she should have done already) before even more grudgingly conceding to help those customers already in the building, waiting in line... I've witnessed a worker accuse a teenage girl of "cheating" when she wanted to send a boxful of CDs at a cheaper "media mail" rate. "You know we may have to open this box and see if you're not cheating and there aren't really CDs in this box, don't you?" -- SERIOUSLY, lady? Are you effing kidding me? Just slap the stamp on it and STFU! Overall, the convenience of this building and the goodness of some of the workers makes up for the crass unprofessionalism of some of the others, but only just. If you're from the neighborhood or happen to be passing through, this post office is an okay choice, but there's no reason to go out of your way to use this post office based on any notion that, because it's Beverly Hills, it must be better. The building certainly gives that impression, unfortunately a lot of the workers take that first impression and rudely run it right into the ground. read more

This is the worst post office and the fact that it's in the heart of Beverly Hills just adds to the irony. There are a few pros but if you can go somewhere else, you should. The few positives: The building is clean and very easy to get in and out of. Lots of parking Safe neighborhood And that's about it. The cons? Well just read the other reviews. To sum up, they are always severely understaffed and don't seem to care. One time, I waited over 45 minutes to pickup a package when I asked the single staff member working the counter why there were literally 30 people waiting, she said to ask Rep. Lieu as this post office fell in his district. Needless to say, people in Beverly Hills are not used to getting this level of service. And there is no recourse. "AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST! I had a package to drop off and was in the area of the Maple Drive Post Office in Beverly Hills. When I Yelped for directions I read the horrendous reveiws for this location. Many of the bad reviews mentioned that employees often call in sick on Mondays and Fridays to extend long weekends. It was Tuesday, so I thought it would be okay. Boy.....was I wrong!!! I arrived at 4:00 pm and there was only one postal worker helping customers behind the counter. There was a long line forming outside the door and signs posted apologizing for having only one person on duty. After 20 minutes, a woman in a red dress and high heels appeared from nowhere. She met us in the post office lobby and began taking packages behind the counter, then she would come back out and greet the next customer, instead of allowing the customers to come to the counter. When it was my turn she asked if I needed a receipt? I said if course I do! She looked ticked-off and carried my package behind the counter. Instead of waiting like the other customers, I followed her to the counter. I asked her if they were short staffed because of the government shutdown and she said no.....it was because the employees still thought it was Martin Luther King's birthday. I was beginning to feel like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. This made no sense at all! A few days later, we received a message from the recipient informing us that the package never arrived. When we attempted to track the package we realized that the post office employee gave me a receipt for the wrong package. There was no way for us to complete a proper claim. When I tried to call the location there was no one who would pick up the phone. I'm out $95.00, plus postage, and even got a bad review on EBay!! read more
