Metered Parking on street was packed so I parked around the corner in the public parking lot. I walk in to the post office next to the grocery store and handyman store and the line was looong with only one person helping. I was about to leave and go elsewhere but then I thought to use the self service machine with scale. I went looking and unfortunately this is a very small post office that looks to be going through redecorating and they don't have it. So had to wait in the line but people got frustrated with the wait and left so I was closer. It was about 10-15 minutes to get in and out. The cashier was nice, but I probably will never come back here because of the wait and lack of supplies.

Thursday, I arrived at 3pm -- hours before their posted 5:30pm closing -- and the gates were shut with just a handwritten "will be back" sign, no time given. Within 20 minutes, 11 people were standing outside waiting, some of us for 40+ minutes total. We could hear voices behind the gate the whole time. It seems like there's only one employee running this entire location, which isn't fair to her either -- she has to close the whole place to take a break or use the restroom, since there's no one to cover for her. She's always very pleasant and a joy to work with. But that's a staffing failure, not something customers should have to absorb. While waiting, one woman on the phone with USPS was upset they gave her 30+ yr mailbox away without her knowledge, despite paying for a box. An elderly woman who could barely stand, let alone walk, standing in the sun for 20+ mins, asking for a change-of-address form . Employee standing behind the gate and profusely saying it's closed. Mind boggling. I ended up having to slide a package through a gap in the gate and leave it on the floor since there was no other way to enter to drop off shipment. 3rd world countries have a better mail system. Not only was there absolutely NOTHING in it, but I could see on the office's side that they had a plastic cover over the opening so that they didn't put anything in it. When I went to the clerk, I got about 5 different answers, before she told me that no one is really running the office and they've had 217 complaints from P.O. Box customers about their mail not being delivered and lost. I truly think they've just thrown my mail away. When I complained through the channels at usps.com, I got a very generic, dishonest response with no answers or accountability. I've been paying around $300 a year for them to lose/steal my mail, including business mail. It is unreliable and dangerous to depend on this post office. It's a scam, and they need to be shut down and held accountable.

Came in 10-12 minutes before our appointment, we were greeted & walked right into the office. Ms. Ida (pronounced ee- da) was an absolute gem! She is hilarious & efficient. We had all our documents in order beforehand. Both parents have to be present along with the minor. I feel like if you come prepared, you'll be just fine. Expecting other adults to hold your hand through the process & getting frustrated at them for your lack of understanding is unfair. They are very kind & helpful but please understand you are not the only customer there. We paid via debit at the counter & Shiekh was also very pleasant. Overall 12/10 experience!

As a petite woman who's 5'2", this was a bit of a challenge, and I didn't even pull all the way into the teeny, tiny parking space because I didn't want to scrape the car on my left or the concrete pole on the right that I was wedged between. I raced to the doors right as they were about to lock them and caught my breath. One more guy made it behind me. The line was long and going all the way out into the lobby, and even though there were only 2 postal clerks behind the counter, the line was moving fast. The clerk who helped me was a friendly lady whose name I don't recall. She may have been wearing a name tag, but I forgot to check. She asked for my tracking number and ID, then went back to retrieve my package. She came out a moment later, I signed for it, then bid everyone goodnight and happy holidays. In and out in under 20 minutes! I was surprised at how patient and friendly both clerks appeared to be, considering the long, holiday line. I'm sure it will only get crazier and crazier leading up to Hanukkah and Christmas, so try to get there sooner than later, and give yourself ample time to beat the traffic and navigate their small ass parking lot. Don't be like me - I mean, "someone who isn't me" - driving in the bus lanes and speeding to get there! Happy holidays and happy new year!!

The differentiators are usually if they have good parking options (the answer here is YES, a lot that you can usually snag a spot in but just make sure to exit at the stoplight instead of getting caught in the Grove's traffic's crosshairs) and the humans working there. Goooooooodness this post office disappoints on the staff. I see staff not respond to customers' as they ask questions while they chat to each other between the windows. I experience the same half the time, just no response. My friend went in to bring mail from a past resident & they just grabbed it and cut him off not letting him finish a sentence. The line gets sooooo long sometimes and I'm sure the crabby staff doesn't leave anyone feeling good about their experience here. The Post Office is open 930am-5pm every day but Sunday if you need teller assistance, but the lobby opens at 6am each day! And the good news is the self service kiosk and a drop box for packages both reside in that lobby. That's all I need 99% of the time I pop into the post office so lucky me. One day when I went the Drop Off Box was closed though so it can't always be counted on! The next day it was back open though so all was well in my world. I was so happy they fixed it so quickly. For dropping things off, this post office works well for me. However, It's weirdly the most unfriendly post office and that's such a shame if you need to interact with the staff.
