Just trying to do an address change and been at the store location and called several times with no answer. Its just shameful how difficult it is to update your address and the online tool wont complete the Address Change form but charged my Credit Card twice!!!!! So I call the 800 number for the 4th time today and they say the charges might fall off but if they dont to call back???? Wow, the disorganization of USPS is crazy and I have wasted half my day off and got no further then when I started in fact I have 2 charges on my card for nothing and still haven't recieved any help. read more

I've had nothing but problems getting my mail since our long-time carrier retired. Correctly addressed mail has been returned to the sender, delivered to a completely different address or lost somewhere. Last week 2 packages were left by my door, with my address but for someone I don't know. I wrote on the labels that the address was not correct for this person and dropped them off at the UP Post Office. Yesterday, one of the packages was redelivered to my home! I guess no one could read what I had written on the package the 1st time it was delivered. If it wasn't so close to my home, I would go somewhere else. One other issue is they've removed the outside mailboxes so everyone has to park and go inside to mail letters. There's not enough parking to accommodate everyone on busy days. And to really irritate customers, they have not taken the "Mail Drop-off " sign down, so people turn to go to the outside box and can't turn around. Horrible customer service. read more

Went to this location to get passports for my wife, 2 kids and myself. Customer service was pretty good, just not your typical type of appointment. Rep went from helping us to helping get the line down so we did have to wait here and there. All in all my experience was pretty good due to the customer service. read more

Maybe it depends on where you live but my previous address I had trouble with them being lazy and not wanting to deliver packages to my front door so they'd always leave a note in the box saying "no one home" so I would have to go pick it up. Here is the new problem at my new house...NEVER TRUST THIS LOCATION WITH A MAIL HOLD...EVER. Have a friend pick up your mail everyday or get a P.O. box, anything else. My husband and I left for our wedding and honeymoon which was about two weeks of being gone. We put a vacation hold on assuming we would be getting important documents, wedding gifts, and other important mail during this time. The day our mail was supposed to be delivered back (6/18) we received a package on our door step and I quickly ran to the door to get it thinking it was our mail. I saw the mail man walking away and noticed a box and figured the mail wasn't here yet. The next day mail was delivered as normal with nothing extra so I went in to the location. For THREE DAYS I had to personally go in and ask them where my mail was, leave my phone number, they told me the person who delivered the mail continued to call in sick and then we would never hear anything so we continued to have to go in with not one person having a clue where our mail was. We were home the entire day the mail was supposed to be delivered and the day after so no one stole it off the porch. The fourth day and after filing claims online we GO IN again because we've heard nothing and all we get it "ya different people deliver to your house everyday and we're not even sure who delivered it." And basically told us, "yup your two weeks of mail has just vanished." We are at a loss of what to do and it's sickening that this establishment took so long to ask the person who delivered the mail that day where they left a FAT stack of mail because somehow they just don't remember. I don't know if that person stole it or they just so strongly don't care that they just toss it. I will never trust these guys again. I'm currently trying to get a hold of the post master. If J****** is the type of person that USPS is going to have at the point of sale, I'll have no part of it. I'd rather drive the package to the destination on a bicycle than endure the obnoxious arrogance that he uses to address his customers. I certainly hope you can identify him. He's about ********, and an over-literal demeanor. This is my third encounter with him and I am happy to share my experiences. The first time was when I came in looking to process a passport. I came in at the appointed, POSTED time at the office, and J**** told me the person I needed to talk to wasn't available. I asked when he would be, and he said "I'm not available today." Despite being the person to process them, working the counter where this business would be conducted, and there at the posted time, he said he couldn't do it. I asked when he could, and he gave me a time and date. I missed that time and date, but returned the following week on that day at the specific time (which by the way was within the POSTED time for passports), and J** was there. He refused to help me because he was leaving for lunch at 10:30 AM and I didn't come in when he told me to. That's encounter 1 and 2. Today's encounter was when I needed to purchase postage for my package. I'd previously bought it online and incorrectly used the wrong weight. I cancelled that postage and went into the post office. There were NO customers there at 11:20 AM. I walked to the counter and there was J**. He sighed loudly as I walked up. I asked nicely for a label to replace the incorrect one I'd made. He tapped it loudly with his finger and in a obnoxious tone said "You need to do that online" and started to push it back. I said, "I've already cancelled it, I just need a replacement label." He took a blank adhesive label and laid it on the box and put both hands on the counter. Incensed at this point, I said "I Need Postage." He then proceeded with the transaction in the normal fashion, seemingly content that he'd infuriated me enough. I may seem to be embellishing here but I assure you, if you were there watching AND listening, you would conclude the exaggeration is of the mildest degree. I also left a review on postalexperience.com/Pos. It did take 4 tries because the website is horrible. They asked at the end what they could do to make it better. I said to fire the guy. Normally it is fine, but this package was the worst. They delivered the package to my apartment office, 8 minutes after the office has closed for the holidays. I am now sitting in my apartment wondering if they actually delivered it or just tossed it. The door is locked if no one is in the office and they are quick to get out. I don't understand why they didn't deliver it to my door. I saw the postal guy delivering other items to doors/mail boxes. I think the worst part was the I paid the original shipper extra money for a quicker delivery but now I will have to wait an additional three days (today, tomorrow, and the day after) to get my stupid package. I am truly upset and there is no way to really contact them either. I tried calling the 800 number but that went nowhere quick. Awful. read more

Went to this location to have my passport renewed. Had everything ready and just needed a photograph and postage. Female clerk initially told me to standby for a few minutes to get my picture taken. Male clerk joined her at the counter and she let him know that I needed a passport picture taken. Male clerk said, "oh well" and walked off the floor. Female clerk shooked her head, looked at me and said "apparently we are not doing passport pictures today. " Unbelievably rude behavior that went unchecked. I asked if there was a supervisor on duty and no response other than to say "sorry we can't do passports today". Note, there were two other clerks at the front counter but for unknown reasons were unable to assist me. We ended up going to Walgreens for the passport pictures and to another post office who thankfully was able to provide BETTER service. read more

Oh, the pain of coming here! I just hate coming to this post office and have for years. The apathy and slow work mentality is just overwhelming, even for a government office. The lines can be horrendous, with the 2 or 3 clerks working as slowly as possible - and very often, a manager will appear from in back, and close a window for the person to go on break - even though there are people out to the door. Anymore, we drive down to Steilacoom to avoid the apathy and long lines of this location. I once commented to a clerk, after a number of people in the long line had grumbled about how slow it was, that it did in fact seem very slow - to which he replied "it pays just as much to work slow as to work fast" - true story. If you can avoid this PO branch, I strongly urge you to go elsewhere to avoid long lines and slow "I don't really care" employees. read more

I think it's pretty darned bad when you can't even get the post office to answer their phone - the 800 number or even their back door number. If I worked there, I'd be embarrassed to show my face in public. No sense of a decent work ethic or even a glimmer of pride in what they are 'supposed' to do. Sad state. I for one, will be thrilled when the whole post office is privatized. We had mail on a vacation hold and they were to begin delivery again yesterday, which of course they didn't. Unfortunately can't even say I'm surprised. Can't reach anyone to ask them to please resume delivery. Am working, so can't make it there in person and no one answers the phone. Actually not even sure why I'm writing this review as they certainly don't care at all. If my husband ran his company like the post office, we would have been bankrupt many years ago! read more

Of the last 5 packages sent to me through this post office I have received only 2, and one of them was delivered not by my postal worker but by a complete stranger who 'found' it. I see other people claiming they have to deliver other people's mail a few times a month..I have to deliver mail for this post office every other day. They literally do not care about anything. Great staff. Tracked down a missing package that was delivered to wrong address. Usually the post office would just tell you to file paperwork and not even try to find it. I also just watched them clear out long lines quickly with an employee walking thru the line selling stamps and holiday stuff so people didn't have to wait so long. It was a Saturday and I understand that they're busy. I had to pick up a package that I missed earlier that week. It was in my husbands name so I sent him in. It was he and another gentleman waiting at the pick up window, they both rang the door bell once. Sat around making conversation for a few minutes. Five minutes passed, they ring the doorbell again. At this point my husband and the other gentleman are annoyed, rightfully so. Communication is key and if they popped out and said "we're busy, we will be with you in a bit" they would have been fine. After waiting another 5 minutes the gentleman waiting with my husband goes up to the counter and is asking the person behind the counter for help. She explains that he just has to wait for someone to open the window to help them. They both go back to the window and wait, another few minutes past, we are now nearing 15 minutes of waiting (no communication whatsoever). The gentleman waiting with my husband walks over and holds the button down for continuous ringing, holds it for about 30 seconds or so. Nothing. The gentleman gives up and leaves. My husband tries again by holding down the button, about 60 seconds. The lady opens the door and says "sir, you need to leave or I'm calling the cops." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? He goes back up to the counter and explains the whole thing and while the lady at the front counter apologized and helped get our package, I will be calling first thing on Monday and filing a complaint about Sophia. That is ridiculous. I guess the post office isn't considered customer service but I thing some sort communication or customer service would be expected. Can not believe it!!!!!! read more

So... I read a lot of people having packages dropped off at the wrong addresses. Mine was delivered to a wrong address I know for sure, but due to either lazy people or people trying to get something for free, I'm out a great deal of money and no product. Opened a research case with the post office that was a joke and basically told me what the tracking already said to begin with. So if the mail carrier decides to deliver to whatever address he/she pleases, all they have to do is press the delivered button and if asked, say "yes boss" I delivered that package, then its case closed. At what point are the carriers held accountable for their actions??? And maybe if you kept the same carrier on the same route instead of switching carriers every other day for whatever reason, things would less likely get messed up. Keep up the good work! read more

They delivered my package to the wrong address and told me the carrier got confused. can't see how considering I live on 10th street and they delivered it two blocks away to 8th street. Then the carrier Lied about where they delivered the package. Then the Supervisor of the post office told me that I need to go over to the residence and pick up my own mail. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!! what the Heck do we pay you for. there are 6 homes in my codersack and at least three times a month we have to deliver mail to the right address because their handlers put it in the wrong box. Every single employee I have interacted with seems annoyed to even be speaking to me, as if we were bothering them.
