I never requested that they keep my package. If I didn't want it, I wouldn't have ordered it.. I don't know if he was too drunk to deliver it, or just too lazy. This isn't the first time that my packages have mysteriously disappeared in the Roxbury post office. We pay them a LOT of money to do a job that a trained monkey could do, yet they can't seem to do it competently. Avoid the Roxbury post office if you actually want your stuff delivered.

I approached the young lady at the counter to inquire if these would go out the same afternoon. She was very friendly and assured me the cards would be mailed out the same day.

Since moving here I've had a handful of packages marked as, "not accessible" on a clear sunny day. Seems like an excuse just so they didn't have to stop and deliver a package or my mail, this has happened multiple days in a row now. It is also the holiday season and I'm sure many people are expecting their last minute gifts in the mail, and because of this postal office they might not get them. The exact wording I receive on my end is "Delivery attempted, but front door or driveway was not accessible," which is a complete lie. This is someone's only job that they have to do in a very small town I might add, and they still can't deliver my mail everyday. I've lived in a heavy populated area my whole life and NEVER was my mail marked as "undeliverable." It came everyday, on time with no issue. The mail here is lucky to get into our mailbox before 6pm. The point of Amazon is to be delivered in 2-3 days, but because of this "postal office" mine take almost a week, and sometimes the items are important and needed in a timely fashion. I'm not sure if more help is needed at this postal office, but someone needs to figure it out so things can run more smoothly and people get their mail/packages everyday.

If you're a young'un, and you were born after Stamps.com and Amazon and FedEx, a post office is where you used to have to go to send and receive packages, which you can still do today! Amazing, isn't it? You can also buy stamps, get money orders, apply for a passport, keep a PO box, send in safe and secure mail-in ballots to exercise your right to participate in a free and fair democracy, and more. Personally, I sent a box of old baby clothes to a cousin, and the folks behind the counter were efficient and helpful, and a credit to the fine organization that is the USPS. (No thanks to Postmaster General DeJoy, who we will hopefully see gone shortly.)
