We came here recently for their "Touch a Train" day and it was a lot of fun…read more Admittedly, any day riding trains is fun but they had a lot going on: FREE train rides on their 12" gauge park train; FREE tour of their station with many model train exhibits; FREE tours inside of a diesel engine including cab with opportunity to ring the bell and activate the brakes; FREE live music; inexpensive food including popcorn (yum); FREE gift bag for the kids with stickers, wooden train whistle, and other things like that; FREE demonstration of a working railroad work crane; $5 caboose train rides up and down part of the line; run the Lionel train layout in the station for a quarter for a couple of laps. They do this once a year, so don't show up anytime and expect to get all of the above. But they are a great little railroad and museum trying to keep up the history of trains in the area. Don't know what the previous reviewer's agenda is here and seriously doubt the validity of her claims. I was at the store during the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies which is like Christmas time for these guys. Under all that pressure, Jeff, the owner, was more than helpful and busy making sure his customers got taken care of as they should. The only time I could see him raising his voice, not that I ever did, would be to one of his employees for not taking care of a customer properly. He seemed to be very intense and serious about his business, probably his love for sports, especially baseball. I've had them ship me things out here to San Diego and have never had a problem with shipping. Of course I didn't wait two or three days before Christmas and expect the mail service or shipper to perform miracles. As long as it was shipped as promised, you can't blame the store for any delays in shipping even if all the pertinent information was given accurately. When I was there, I saw a lot of orders going out via UPS and the mail and as with any business, every once in a while an order is bound to get messed up, but from what I saw and have come to expect from them, Legends are Forever puts their customers first and treats all with the deepest respect. Now I'm a Gold Star Mom and Mother of a Fallen Sailor. Michael Langan, Owner of this funeral home traumatized me by not allowing me in to view my deceased son at the scheduled viewing time. He locked me out of the home because Donald's father, Kurt requested it. I am not from Cobleskill. The only reason Don was buried there is because he listed his father as primary parent and me secondary with the USN. What that means is his father got to say where he was to be buried. Michael decided to treat me terribly while I was already devastated that my 23 year old son was murdered. I will never forget the day he told me that strangers could view my son first and locked me out of the funeral home. I sat and prayed until his wife opened the door and acted all fake saying, "Good Morning!" I will tell everyone what this man and woman who own the home did to me. I will never forget. Michael was only worried about getting his money for the funeral. Kurt was the one who was paying. So Michael, you will always remember me because I will continue to tell all how you treated a Retired United States Air Force Veteran and Mother of a Fallen Sailor. Do not use this funeral home. They are not worthy of burying anyone's family.
