Ridiculously expensive to wash clothes here. It took $4.50-$10.00 to do a load of clothes here and the machines only take quarters. Luckily, there is an ATM and a change machine, but you have to bring your own detergent and fabric softener because the candy/detergent dispenser machine was out of order.
Now for the bad news. My friend and I were treated horribly by the most hostile employee ever to work at the place. I needed some assistance learning my way around the machines, so I went over to her and before I had even uttered a single word, she looked at me and said, :"What do you need?" with the most disdainful expression on her face. I asked her about one of the big washers that didn't seem to have a detergent tray and she said we had to climb up on the step ladder to access it from the top, her demeanor exuding a "you should know this" vibe. It gets better. One of the washers my friend was using said to push the red button before turning the handle to close the door. But there was no red button. She asked for said employee's assistance once again and the lady said, "The color wore off. It's the only button there." Again with an attitude. Okay then. Maybe cross off the word "red"?
I hope that the owner of this business will read these reviews because it is vitally important to hire people who won't make your customers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable enough to even enter the establishment. This lady was dressed like a young man, wearing a baseball cap backwards, her pants tied underneath her buttocks, and had tattoos on her legs and other areas. She wore her hair short and it was dark. This description is for the owner to ascertain her identity, as she was not wearing a name tag. It would be useful if they wore a vest or some kind of name tag identifying them as employees. This employee wasn't just rude. She was downright hostile and angry, and felt justified taking it out on the patrons. For the life of me, I can't understand what set her off. I understand how hard it is to find good help, but if you want to stay in business, it's best to screen your employees carefully. My friend and I are locals and I have used their alterations services in the past. But after today's horrible experience, will not be returning. read more
