I was offered a larger dumpster when the local site didn't have the size I asked for, but they pulled a bait-and-switch on me when it didn't include the greater weight allowance. When we filled the dumpster they charged me an additional $135 for "extra tonnage". When I said that seemed like hidden charges, the customer rep said she was sorry- but it was all explained in the fine print agreement I had signed so there was nothing that could be done about it. No consideration or courtesy extended at all... Also, I requested that the dumpster be placed alongside the house to be able to toss boxes directly from the windows, but instead it was left twenty feet away from the house!

Every time I've spoken to them on the phone, they have been helpful and pleasant, and the pickup is always done by 6 AM at the latest, so they don't get in the way of people who work normal business hours. As far as weekly garbage pickup in Cooperstown, Casella does a great job!

Uncle D was a hoarder so there were 13 riding lawnmowers, as many air compressors and snowblowers, motors, wire, metal, wood etc. When we talked to Ed Taylor, he assured us that he'd be able to handle it and it would take a couple of weeks to get it broom clean. He explained that we probably wouldn't make much, if anything on it as it was a lot of work, but we might come out a bit ahead. As we are not from the area, we really were only concerned that it would get done. He sent us a contract and we returned it in early Nov 2022. He said that he would give us a receipt of cost and weights for metal. Well, anything metal is gone, but the work is still not done as of June 2023, Ed had excuses, lies and deception. He sent 1 picture of a clean corner and said "almost done". Since then we've had others go look and it's still a mess. We've never seen a receipt, or weigh tag. My elderly mother is now concerned that she will have to come out of pocket to pay another company to finish the work. Stay away from this company; in my opinion they robbed the estate.
