I recently started bringing my bottles/cans to Greenblotts due to the Place, I took them before closed. I found this place to be very large, open, clean and organized. I brought bottles to the repdemption at green blot . I told them this was my first time here. This is there advertisement on their site. We pay 6 cents for your New York State bottles and cans when you show us the coupon. No need to print it out - show us right on your phone! Back right up to the dock for unloading, and we will get your bottles and cans sorted and counted fast with our automated machine counting! Before you know it you'll be on your way out the door with money in hand. I was today with my bottles I was told to sort and dump a then mold no glass in the hopper. A few glass got dumped in I couldn't reach was yelled at over and over by the worker. I told him it was my first time here. He kept reminding me they closed at 4:30 their were other customers still bringing bottles in it was 4:15 when I was in there. Then told not to dump anymore in he wasn't taking any more of my bottles he was rude mean and I will never use greenblotts services and would not recommend it read more

Kim the manager was awful. I asked for her or corporate number due to treatment from workers. She refused an continued to laugh after I was forced to pull my bottles an cans out of a vendor because a few was crushed no problem. The employee then begins to curse at me. I finish taking what is crushed out go to get my money menton the employees attitude and she laughed at me. Refusal to give corporate number an treatment is very unprofessional! I was quoted one price and they failed to honor it after I had dissembled over 180 blinds and unloaded. They claimed it was a once in 5 year situation, but in my mind that should not make a difference. They should honor the price or listen more carefully. I spoke with the owner to let him know to avoid this happening in the future but he did not think it important. He offered to return the metal so I could go somewhere else, but that wasn't the point of me talking to him. I should give the company a better review but if the owner's mentality is to wait until someone takes hours to separate metals because of one price given but fails to honor it. Scrap metal to money? Yes, please! The only thing preventing five stars is that the two people we were dealing with were not getting along and were more focused on bashing each other than helping us - 1st timers - to know that we were supposed to drive on the scale - we thought we were going to unload everything into a container that would be fork-lifted, so we missed out on some money there. We had a bunch of old copper from re-doing our plumbing and I was glad that they copied our driver's licenses - copper stealing is something that angers me, so I was glad that they took the proper steps to document us. Also, go to their Web site and they have a 6 1/2 cent bottle & can return coupon - you must print and have the coupon in hand to get the 6 1/2 cents. UPDATE: I took cans and another load of metal this past summer. WHAT A HASSLE returning cans has turned into. Even at the CanMan where you used to be able to hand them a total? Why has this changed? Worthless people ripping them off by lying about totals. I will NEVER let cans build up again. Donate them to a charity or take them to the store to use in the machines, but DO NOT CRUSH bottles or cans - the machines will not accept them. read more

After reading the one review from Sue J., I didn't know if I'd be in for a fight or not. I took 1674 cans to them which I had counted in advance. I told them I knew the number, but they ran them through the counter anyways... which took 30 minutes. To my complete surprise, the counting machine counted 1674, the same number I counted. I never would have guess it would be that accurate! 6 1/2 cents each is $107.55. My only issue was that they had 2 counting machines but were only using one. The people behind me with just one or 2 bags had to wait till my 10 bags were completely done. read more

First time at greenblott. Not happy original receipt was $48.00 , at .5 cents per can which would 960 cans had coupon for 6.5 cents per can which would be $62.40. I received only $52.40.lady at office kept $10.00 for herself, will never return. Make sure you do the math before you leave they will screw you. read more
