We had an issue with our lock box. Justin made a special trip to help us get it open. We really appreciate the way this was handled.

In defense of the USPS -- First, a bright spot for this location. Cece provides caring, prompt service. She at least gives the impression of enjoying her job, and her energy invigorates an otherwise drab facility. That aside, what do you expect from a post office? It's slow, because they're understaffed. The thing is, it's not their fault. It's not the fault of the employees. It's not the fault of the USPS. To blame is Congress, for neglecting this agency. It's underfunded and held to deservedly high standards (universal and equal access; full pension payments). These commitments are a far cry from the private sector, where employers giveth and taketh away at will. UPS and FedEx employ unequal pricing structures that disadvantage the poor and the rural. It's a direct result of the "starve the beast" mentality (an unwholesome one from the name alone). This theory, so throughly disconnected from reality and common sense, presumes that government is inefficient, then cuts its funding, then uses the resultant inefficiency as vindication, and as justification for further cuts. This type of negative reinforcement has proven ineffective at managing organizations, campaigns, and indeed governments. The more effective approach is to fully support (i.e. fund) the struggling organization, providing guidance and setting expectations. Instead Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats have eviscerated one of our most important agencies, leaving it to wither while handing out goodies to buddies at other shipping companies. This is actually a very good post office. I am only docking it one star because the bar to which a comparison can be made is super low. In other words, it has it's problems, but compared to the horrible experiences I've had at other POs, this place is great. It's busy like most POs, but the employees work quickly and get you through the line as fast as possible. Also, yesterday, I was greeted very pleasantly by "clerk 08" (as it reads on my receipt) and to have someone at the post office treat you nicely is like someone at the DOL treating you nicely....doesn't usually happen! If I could give them a zero I would. I have a mail hold in place as I'm out of town. Yesterday two packages that were sent to me SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION were delivered with the carrier signing on my behalf. Completely unacceptable. Today? Yet another package is showing out for delivery...signature confirmation. Been calling the post office for 30 mins straight and it just rings. Going to the post master Monday and complaining to the post master general. WORST POST OFFICE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN 45 YEARS. read more

Though it was my first time at this post office, one thing that stood out was how helpful and courteous the staff are at this location. I was shipping something overseas, and they made it so easy. The clerk who helped me was very friendly, positive and polite. It was a nice change to what I've experienced at other post offices. read more

One employee there who was loud and annoying. She screamed at her customers rather call onto them like human. Maybe if she reads my review here's what she could say to her next customers. "May I help you, May I help the next person in line, Or Next in line please." She got her work done with a thank you at the end. read more

I'm afraid this place needs a lot of improvement. It's convenient, but that's just because I live close by. I have seen the same damaged parts of the building every time I visit. One of the employees could easily fix it. Not just a few of the workers have a way of conveying with their body language that they are tired and not really interested in helping. There is typically a line, so maybe they are tired. The building looks bad. They deliver my mail, and it has happened several times that my mail gets delivered to the wrong box, or I get mail for a neighbor. That's pretty pitiful. I tried to get this resolved with the manager at the facility, and they were not helpful. read more

I wish I could put 0 stars as this experience doesn't even deserve 1 star. I would like to address two issues: The first is the mail I receive. My dad and I share the same first and last name. This is fairly common but yet I always get his mail. Luckily we live a few minutes away so it's easy to get his mail to him but it is inconvenient. I have lived at my current address since October 2013. Once I noticed I was receiving his mail I went to this post office, which issues both my and my dad's mail, to make them aware of the issue. The person who helped me (I cannot remember his name) said this issue would get solved. It didn't. I went back in December to again have the same conversation with the same person. Obviously he didn't remember because he told me the exact same thing as before. It is now March 2014 and this issue is still going on. I have since talked to Larry, for a total of four times since February 2014, and basically they just sort the mail by last name. Surprisingly I haven't received my grandpa's mail (we share the exact same name) as well as my uncle. All of us use the same post office. Based upon the information Larry gave me, you think I would receive their mail too right? Very very annoying this issue has been going on Since October 2013 and now being March 2013 nothing has been fixed. The second issue at hand is lost mail. My fiancee ordered a package that has yet to come. We received an email that helped track the item through the shipping process. It started with when it left and when it arrived. According to the email, this post office received the item on February 11, 2014 at 6:42 am. It then was sorted at at 8:36 am and left the post office at 8:42 am. The last place it went was to our Apartment Manager's office at 4:11 pm. I have since followed up with the manager multiple times, who I have known for 8 years, and it hasn't shown up. We have also had packages delivered since and received every single one. I then called the post office and Larry said he would check the post office and follow up with the person who does our route. No luck here AND no follow up call. I had to call him since Larry forgot to call me back. He said he hadn't had the chance to follow up with our driver since he has been out. I give it a week and still no call from Larry. When I called him today, he had no idea who I was. I understand being busy but you should remember that when you take on an issue, in which you say you will follow up, you shouldn't forget. His answer was still the same, it wasn't there. I told him I have all the paperwork to show our package not only was delivered there but was sorted and left his location. He told me to come in and show him. I said fine but I am seeking a reimbursement so we could reorder our stuff. My fiancee and I then drove to the post office, with the tracking paper work. Larry comes out to greet us and at most he tells us to file a claim regarding our lost mail. To us this was unreasonable. We wanted USPS to pay for our lost item, which again was checked in through his office. He said he couldn't authorize that. I then asked for a letter from him stating that his office lost our item and that he takes responsibility so we could then reorder the same item without having to pay again. He again said he could not do that. All he said was to file a claim. My fiancee and I left very pissed off with what he said. I was able to at least get his boss's information, who had left for the day already (minding it was 2 pm when we went to the office). Tomorrow is Friday and I will again be trying to talk to this Jerry fellow, who will probably tell me the same thing, thus leaving us with a missing package and having to reorder and pay for it again. Not acceptable at all. I will update when this issue is done with. read more

The mailman we have now is horrible! We have a mail kiosk in our neighborhood and he is constantly putting the mail in the wrong boxes. I was tracking a package and it stated delivered but the key to open the package box was not in our mailbox. I called the post office and they sent the mailman to our house and he says" I know I delivered it but not sure what box I put the key in". Had to trace who picked up their mail and the mailman asked our neighbor and sure enough they had it. Not sure why they took it since it did not have their name on it. Mailman gives me some lame excuse. Today I received my neighbors mail and now I hope my W2 doesn't get delivered to a neighbor. This is why they are going out of business. read more

It you are looking for a "good" customer service look some where else. The USPS employees are far from friendly, courteous, or even welcoming. They treat you like they are doing you a favor instead offering you a service that you as a customer and Tax payer are paying for plus it is not even cheap compared with other delivery services companies like UPS, FedEx, etc. When you are ready to ship the package they want always to overcharge you for the service and not willing to ever offer you some options that may benefit you as a customer (rate vs weight for the package). With out mentioning if you ever try to call USPS or any of their local branches,you are out of luck. all you get is a recording or a machine that goes around and never connect you with a live person. That is one of many reasons why USPS keeps increasing their rates and keep loosing money (per news report) because people are tired of the bad treatment and service they received from USPS employees and the low quality service. So if you want a better service with a competitive price and be sure your package will be deliver on time and at the right place don't go to USPS. read more

I have certified mail that was supposed to be delivered today, and no postman to be found. Our mail always gets delivered late in the day, and we never know when he's going to show up. Certified mail never arrives when it supposed to...what's the point of paying extra if the mail doesn't get here when it's supposed to? read more

Ever since moving to this area 2.5 years ago I've had the worst experiences with the post offices, in Renton, Seattle (4th St), and in Bellevue (Crossroads). They folks all have the suckiest attitudes, like you're bothering them or somehow interrupting what they had planned for the day, and are not very helpful in resolving an issue (i.e. lost mail, not receiving mail, and damaged packages). Maybe they're trained to be that way. Oh, and don't try to call and get someone to answer the phone. I've come to the conclusion, however, that the post offices are just a representation of some of the businesses I've dealt with since moving here. Shoddy workmanship and lack of follow-up seems to be the running theme. From flooring to lawn care, landlord, lawyer, bank, locksmith....you name it. They want to get paid for NOT doing their job or NOT providing a service. I've never experienced anything like it before in my life, and I hope I never have to again. Just a vastly different mindset in these parts, one I don't want to get used to. Thank God my prison sentence in this place is coming to an end, and I can move where people actually value a hard day's work and earning their pay. read more
