Hated my experience here. But we came for a specific reason. To get our passports renewed. You can only do it on specific days at specific times. Not a problem. There wasn't much of a line. Great. Just received a 13% increase for the year on the PO Box again. If you sign up for one realize that they have large increases every year. It has been easier now that I pay online and I don't use the Redmond post office to manage the box. The box is physically located there but much better if you manage it online since they can't coordinate it locally effectively. read more

I echo the other reviewers in terms of lost packages. They say they tried to deliver a package to me over a week ago, although there was nothing on my door. Then, when I figured it out and went in, they couldn't find the package, and said they would "call me back". I told them that this was a delivery from my pharmacy and that I am out of the supply that was to be delivered. I still haven't received a call, and like other reviewers, I find that they just don't answer the phone. With service like this, I can't keep using mail order pharmacy. I will be complaining to the pharmacy as well, and unfortunately have to switch back to a local pharmacy. I will do everything I can in the future to avoid this place. read more

Went to deliver a small bag of candy. The lady charged me three times the price and said I have to use the one she chose. I saw another option and I saw it again since the computer malfunctioned so she had to start over, but she kept quickly skipping past it. It wasn't my first time mailing the same thing, but this was not my usual location. Either way, this places rips you off, not sure why a government affiliated place would need to do that, but definitely rather go to a different one in the future. read more

USPS used to be really good! I have had several amazing carriers that did a spectacular job, not just delivering the mail but doing porch pickups. These are business related pickups. They promoted my carrier (justly) and now we have temps that do not do the scheduled pickups. The worst of it is, they send the notification that says that they have! This is not only due to bad weather. It's ongoing. My complaint response said they would try harder. Well, it's obviously not working. For now I am going to deliver my items myself. So disappointed in Redmond USPS. I used to be their biggest cheerleader. No longer. read more

I'm a bit of a post office noob. I desperately needed to overnight an envelope and this location was right across the street from my office. From the outside, it appears as though nobody is invited into the parking lot. There is a chain link fence around most of the property. However, I saw a tiny sign that beckoned me forth, so I went. I walked in fearful of confrontation or looks of disdain from the elderly folks who were obviously veterans at the post office experience. I've heard horror stories about people getting upset at someone for taking their time to purchase stamps, or giving audible sighs to a person who hasn't filled out the correct form for their transaction. With all this in mind, when it was my turn, I marched straight up to the post man and with the best doe-eyed face I could muster, I said, "I have no idea what I'm doing. Please help." Without an iota of discontent, he smiled and said, "No worries. What would you like?" I was immediately put at ease. He didn't rush me, he explained all my options, and I felt well-served when all was said and done. I also didn't feel anxious eyes from the line behind me burning holes in the back of my head because there were plenty of workers to handle the lunch time rush. In. Out. Easy peasy. read more

Another update.. I put all my mail on vacation hold for three weeks and guess what USPS did?? Coming back from my vacation i noticed that my mail was never on hold at the local post office. I gave my proof of confirmation number and the e-mail i got from USPS saying that they will hold my mail till i come back but the lady kept on saying that she cant find any of my mail! The manager never called me back for a update either. Thanks to USPS all my mail got lost or it got delivered to the wrong person. read more

I am a property manager for a residential property in Sammamish and our mail is routed through this post office. I have been in property management for a while and never have I dealt with a post office so incompetent as this one. Not only will they not deliver packages and still mark them as delivered, they have delivered my residents packages to other properties before as well. Shortly after starting at this property the post master paid me a visit because I was constantly having my residents complain and file paperwork about their missing packages. After threatening me with an ordinance that was originally drafted in 2001 and getting my legal team involved did things start to get a bit better. I would steer clear of this post office if you can not only for the issues described above but also because of the piss poor attitude of the workers there. All this is to say my individual mailman, John, is fantastic. I have never had an issue with him and I actually feel bad that he has to work in an environment that makes his job 100% more difficult. read more

Ugh. Every time I've gone here, it's been a huge headache! The parking lot is big and easy to navigate, but inside is a whole different story! This place is highly understaffed, so lines are incredibly long, especially during the holidays! They have a self-serve kiosk, but the line for it is just as long, and it is badly maintained, so it jams/runs out of ink/breaks the scale constantly, forcing everyone to the already long line for the desks. A lot of the staff members aren't native English speakers, but they usually make up for it with very polite and friendly attitudes. The American staff members speak perfect English, but they only use it to complain, yell at each other, or find excuses for why they can't do anything to help you. For example, went to pick up the mail today (our apt boxes are broken) and was ignored by an angry African American woman in the Bulk Mail area. I tried explaining the situation, but she basically said it wasn't her problem and ignored me. The two gentlemen behind me were trying to mail bulk packages, but when she saw the workload she said they'd have to go to the front and closed up the whole back section, shutting them out! They left angry, and I didn't blame them. I went inside to pick up, and that same woman was in there banging on every door screaming angrily for "SIMON! JOE! DAMNIT! SIMON! JOE!" And this has happened fairly often. Long story short, if you think you can get away with the self-service kiosk, coming here is fine. otherwise, you might want to consider FedEx/UPS. read more

I actually really like this post office. Everyone is friendly and does the best they can. Its always nice and clean too.

I called their number to ask for my package delivery but their auto voice system said estimated waiting time is 40 minutes to 1 hour to talk with their staff , I did my cell phone on speaker and I wait 1 hour and 20 minutes no one is answered my call I had to stop this call and decide to go there in my off day. US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Redmond, Washington

I know parking was a big issue before, but I don't know where I'm supposed to go to do anything other than pick up packages. That's literally the only thing you can do now. So if I have to (god forbid) go into a post office to do anything at all, I have to go all the way to Bellevue. Another HUGE problem is their ridiculous hours - 9:00 Am to 4:00 PM?! How the hell do you expect me to get a package in that time frame when I have to work like the rest of us? It's like they did that deliberately so that they wouldn't have to do any actual work during that time. The old place was open at 8:30 so I could duck in before heading to the office, but now, it's a pain to get ANYTHING. This is city planning at its absolute worst, people. read more

Apparently the Post Office in downtown Redmond closed... The old location was great for me because I live right in the area and it was an easy walk to get to. I rarely have the need to go to the Post Office, so on Monday when I had to make a shipment I realized it was closed! :( I looked up the new location. I have been here before to pick up a package in the past. It's great! Large parking lot and the staff was really nice. The only sad thing is that I have to drive now...but like I said, I don't visit the Post Office often so it's alright :) I wonder what the old location will become... read more

I called them 6 times finally someone picks up; after I explained the situation he puts me on hold for 40 minutes to go look for my package and came back and said they've lost my item with a horrible attitude. read more

My daily delivery report from the post office showed that a very important certified letter was going to be delivered yesterday. When it wasn't, I went to the post office this morning to find out what was going on. A wonderful woman took the information and went back and found that the letter hadn't been given to the carrier until this morning. She was able to get the letter and give it to me. She did this all with a smile on her face, obviously very customer service oriented. When I complemented her, she said she just tries to look at it through her customer's eyes. I've visited a few times now for different things and the line has never been excessively long, and the staff has always been quick, helpful, and efficient. That said, it's a post office - so use common sense and go at off hours if possible. read more

Funny - claim they delivered my package - well, not to my front door, they didn't. Called several times to speak to Customer Service. No one picked up. Called just after 5pm - automated voice stated they were closed. As of writing - they should be still open. This is one PO that are playing right into Trumps hands. read more

AFTER WAITING 55 minutes on hold about NO MAIL delivered to our whole condominium complex in Redmond, off 40th Place, on a Monday, not a holiday and not weather related as it was sunny and 67! He said he could not do anything about that even though I had "informed delivery" service showing I was to receive mail that day. I asked for a manager and he hung up on me!! PATHETIC! Sent on June 15, 2018 TO: Redmond Post Office Via website: https://emailus.usps.com/emailUs/iq/usps/request.do?forward=emailUs The USPS' tracking history shows that the item was delivered to my mailbox on June 11, 2018. However, this information is false!!! The item was not there!!! On Monday, June 11, 2018, there was a small package in my mailbox, and the key to the large delivery box. However, that large delivery box was empty!!! I was not alarmed at that time, because I was thinking that the delivery person intended to place the small package there, but eventually leaved it in my mailbox along with the unnecessary key. However, two days later, I could see in the E-bay website that that package was allegedly already delivered. I have no doubt that this missing delivery is continuation of frequently misplaced letters, and even a package in one occasion. I am frequently receiving the letters belonging to my neighbors, and am hand-delivering this misplaced mail to them. Sometimes they do the same to me. In the one occasion, my next-door neighbor handed me the package which she mistakenly received, while was addressed to me. Moreover, a few weeks ago, the Post Office returned me the certified letter with the false remark stating that the addressee is not on the address. However, as to this day the addressee still resides there, and I was forced to re-send this priority mailing. When I had asked for a refund, I had been treated in the Redmond Post Office as I was a piece of toilet paper. After my third visit there, the madam in charge eventually promised me the demanded refund. But she just flatly lied to me, and, as to this day, I had not seen a single penny. If the package was actually delivered to some mailbox/delivery box, then the box was not mine and Post Office's statement is flat false!!! Moreover, mailboxes/delivery boxes are Post Office's property, and only the delivery person should have the key. Therefore, in the case if the package was stolen from there, then the Post Office is still obligated to cover the loss! For this reason, I am asking the Post Office to actually deliver the item to me, or to reimburse me by $139.99 for its lose. Thank you. The, USPS promises to respond customers' e-mail in ONE day, but had not responded at all! Therefore, I had called to the Redmond Post Office. But they told me that they couldn't help me, and that the loss should be covered from the sender's insurance. So, it seems that, as always, the "fish smells form the head" and the missing delivery is the result of arrogant incompetence and profoundly corrupted culture in the Redmond Post Office headed by the sleekly lying madam in charge. read more

4 stars for the experience: Around 10 am, one person ahead of me. Two counters opened and the two customers asked a lot of questions. Able to complete my business within 10 minutes. 2 stars for the cost of Priority Mail: $6.65 minimum and the small prepaid box is $7.15. Last time I sent something using Priority mail was still under $5. By the way, when you pull into the parking lot, the post office is towards the end of the building on the right. read more

Problem #1 The old downtown post office had electric doors and it was very easy walking in and out, now with the regular doors it's a pain because you have to be on the lookout for people when opening the door for such a high traffic place it's not only a pain but dangerous. Problem #2 If you want to mail a letter you have to drive all the way into the parking lot then wait for any cars pulling out, wait for anyone crossing and then make a turn into the little area where the drive-up mailbox is, it's almost like they are daring you to mail a letter. Oh and most people hit their tires on the curb because the mailbox is too far away from the curb so you have to get really close to reach the box. At the downtown post office they had the perfect setup you could drive in and out quickly mailing your letter in about 30 seconds. now it can take around 5 minutes. Problem #3 The package and bulk mail pickup is usually closed, it's supposed to be open from 9am to 4 pm but about 50% of the time it's closed, just last week I pulled in at 11am and saw the gate open to the pickup area and looked down to get a pen and when I looked up the gate was closed and when I went up to see what was going on a person said to me "oh, he's taking a break but he'll be back in an hour" what?!?!?! Problem #4 They have a package drop for small and medium sized boxes but a lot of the time it's jammed especially on the weekend, so if you want to drop off a package you'll have to come back after 7am when they have cleared the drop or drive to kirkland to drop it off. All of these problems can be easily fixed but unless more of us speak up we'll have to put up with them. read more

I've had a lot of seriously bad issues with the Redmond Post Office but I've also had them go out of their way to help me. I shipped an important package to a customer and, days later, there was absolutely NO tracking information. The postal worker at the Redmond PO somehow managed to find my package and she even called me at home to tell me it was out for delivery. It was refreshing to actually get some REAL help. That said, the parking lot is absolutely insane. I've seen so many near-misses, fender benders, people nearly getting hit as they walk back to their cars, and general chaos. That probably says more about the drivers than the USPS, though. ;-) read more

Definitely wins my Most Improved award. I was rather dreading coming here to get holiday stamps, but once inside the door, an employee in a green Christmas-themed suit was there to direct people and help with the automated kiosk. Turns out you can get Santa stamps at the kiosk instead of waiting in the main line, and this was accomplished quickly. read more

The only purpose this place serves to the general public is package pickup for residents of Sammamish and Unincorporated King County, and unfortunately, it is epic fail all the way. Package pickup hours are from 9a-4p during the week. This is in contrast to the actual Redmond Post Office, which is open from 8a-6p. There is no excuse for this - the facility itself operates 24/7/365 as it's the East King County mail sorting and distribution facility. If your customers are coming to pick up a package, it's likely because they aren't home between 9 and 4... so why on earth are the pickup hours scheduled that way? Due to the sheer number of packages they process through this facility, retrieving your package will take at least 5 minutes, and I can tell you that they're not happy about that fact either. The folks here manning the pickup window are not well versed in customer service, presumably because package pickup isn't their primary job in the sorting facility. Also, be very careful about driving your car into this place as well - the speed bumps here are ridiculously large. I was driving over them at 5mph and I was still concerned for my shocks and struts. At least they have big signs warning of their size. read more

I went to the passport office, where I was ignored by this gruff old man until I asked him if he worked here, he snarled "yeh". I asked if he could help me get my passport renewed. He practically threw the application at me. When I started to fill it out, he freaked out and told me to take it home and fill it out. He was a bully, an ass and should not be working in a customer service capacity. I am filing a complaint with USPS and also asking them why thy haven't done something about this guy. Check the ratings and he has been bullying people for years who have complained him. read more

With the guidance of Jean, a wonderful and committed postal worker I was able to get the package rerouted and shipped to the correct address. My God this is the worst post office I've ever encountered. The workers are incompetent. And lazy. The are never of any help, they can't even answer the phones they just let it ring and ring until they get sick of it and pick up and before u can even say hello they hang it up. Ridiculous. Not to mention, they mailman they hire can't even do their job. They have lost many of my packages, it's actually absurd how many packages say delivered but are not in my mailbox. The passport office hours posted online are incorrect. The passport office isn't open on sat. I have tried calling this location multiple (10x+) times during the week and they literally don't pick up the phone at all. The postmaster for this location should be fired and the employees should be forced to get a real job that requires them to actually do work rather using our tax dollars as ransom. read more

If you need to mail anything during business hours plan on spending at a minimum of 20 minutes. There is usually only 1-2 people at the counter even when the line is out the door. I have requested to speak to the post master through the USPS site 3 times to correct errors that occurred at this facility and am still waiting to hear back a year plus later. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST WHEN POSSIBLE. read more
