Friday 6/12: This is my first time here and I am appalled. I walked it at 2:30 and needed to get a mailbox lock fixed because I legit don't have access to my mail. Parking is fine here- I walk in and there are multiple people waiting at the closed accordion door. One person said she came in before work early in the morning and they were closed and came back then they were still closed and the another person said they had been there since 2 or earlier and waited 45 minutes and they were still closed due to "lunch break" By 2:40, when I opened the gate door to confront the woman at her "lunch break" she said that her lunch started at 2:30pm. I asked when it was over so we knew when to come back and she just reiterated 2:30 and kept yammering on about it being her lunch break. How is that possible if someone else was here before 2:30 and she was no where to help? I'm going back today to resolve my key issue and hope at 10:30am they aren't on lunch break. As a note, most location INCLUDE lunch times and this one's signs did not. How are people supposed to know what is lunch hour and plan accordingly? I will get photos next time but man what in the world is going on there read more

OK, so I'ma start here my mail is the correct address But they deliver my mail to the right address but sends back my package I don't understand why the mail carrier would deliver my mail to the mailbox but wouldn't put my package in there with my correct address on it already on there. A they keep giving me the run around for almost 3 weeks saying they couldn't find my package but sends it back to the where I brought it from I'm very upset an!! It's just a lot to deal with knowing u have to trust these kind of people with something of value I would never choose to get my packages or anything delivered from them. !! I wish i could give them no stars they don't deserve anything never picks up the phone during business hours read more

Went here after work and there were two people waiting inside where the window is but the window was closed. She opens the window and says "i'm on lunch break, i haven't had a lunch today and i've been here all day by myself" mind you it's 3:50 pm and they close at 4:30 pm. literally the dumbest thing i've ever heard. I can't even imagine telling a customer that and i've worked in customer service. now if i go today and it's on the same type of bs. imma really spaz read more

They lose my packages. This is the second time my package gets missing after delivery notification. The last time the parcel key was in my mailbox it was of my neighbor's packages. My neighbor checked their mailbox and we both had somehow the same parcel key. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

The Brentwood Rd location is the worst Post Office in Raleigh N.C. Experiences issues with undelivered mail, mail being returned without valid reasons, mail not received even though it shows in tracking delivered, mailed delivered to wrong address in neighborhood, and mail just carelessly lost and never found. Rude behavior from delivery personnel, especially during scheduled package pickups. Visiting the post office does not resolve the issues as the management appear to be such good friends with the mail carriers and consistently makes excuses for the problems, never attributing fault to the mail carriers. This Post Office urgently needs investigation to address these concerns and more. read more

Takes 10 minutes to get an associate's attention, and 20 minutes to get your mail. Waste of time.

On 3/16/2024 a(bout 0730 hrs ) received a text that a package I was tracking had insufficient address and would be returned to sender. The package was for my daughter who lives in Raleigh and needed it for an important upcoming event. Long story short is I called the Brentwood office and yes, the phone did ring for a bit but it was Saturday morning and then a pleasant woman answered and asked how she could help. I quickly explained the situation, she put me hold for a minute or two and came back with great news. She contacted the carrier and they still had the package in the truck! I gave her the missing address info and it was delivered, on schedule, early that afternoon! I was so fortunate to have Shabonna answer the phone at the Brentwood P.O. Thank you again Shabonna; you really saved my bacon! Kevin G. R.I. read more

From the postmen to the supervisors - one is more rude than the next - will be making a complaint at the highest level possible

We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well... here is mines: Parking: 3 Location: 5 Customer Service: 4 Facility décor/cleanliness: 4 One of the busiest post offices off capital (in my opinion). I love the location as it sits close to everything near capital. The parking can suck during peak hours... which seem to be during the daytime. The service is not to bad and the place is tidy for a post office. read more

Great staff, helpful and friendly. The line can be a little long sometimes but that's because if you're clueless about how to mail a package (I was two years ago) they'll take the time to answer all of your questions. I moved to Knightdale last year and I drive out of my way to go to this location. And they're open for a couple of hours on Saturdays! read more

I have used this location for many years, mainly because it is the location of my p o box. I am impressed by how well the counter clerks work with the public, especially in dealing with persons that dont speak English well and some folks who are simply idiots. There is usually a line. The staff is good at recognizing when there is a long line, and will usually announce additional options, such directing those picking up a package to specific employee. read more

Terrible customer service at this locations. The staff is consistently unnecessarily rude. I'm never anything but nice and yet I'm consistently met with aggressive attitudes. It seems like they hate their jobs. Maybe try something where you don't have to interact with anybody? read more

No wonder the Post Office is losing money. I have tracked several packages on multiple deliveries that have the package received in Raleigh, then sent to Greensboro, then back to Raleigh losing seven days in the process. A ridiculously run operation. read more

Front desk attendant was too lazy to look for my package that had my daughters first birthday gift sent from overseas family members. I had to ask for a supervisor multiple times before someone actually took the time go in the back and LOOK for it. Absolutely abhorrent customer service and overall incompetence. read more

4 of 5 regular counter associates are very nice and polite and work quickly to avoid having the common long lines found in post offices in this area. I would recommend this office because they're actually polite. read more

Amazing customer service from the supervisor and staff. Thanks a million for everything you do for us.

This post office left me a message to call them about an investigation in to a missing delivery. I have video from a security camera of the driver driving past our mailbox at the time they claim it was delivered. When I called back (5 time) their system just hangs up. So, not sure how I am supposed to return the call. read more

Worst post office in the state! Attempted to use there quick box drop off and it jammed I worked the lever back and forth a couple times to free it. Some guy pops his head out of the door and says hey if you jams just let us know. Like that's gonna happen these guys are so slow there's two people working the counter the lines 15 people deep. Not to mention if this guy can hear the thing jam why doesn't he just go up there and do his job and fix it. Anyhow I check the shipping on the five boxes I sent out it only shows the two of them shipped. What do these guys do all day back there? Obviously not their job. It's no wonder in this post office has a two star review on yelp. read more

A letter and gift mailed to my granddaughter was mailed in Topping, VA, on Dec.15 2018. Went to Richmond, VA then to Raleigh, NC. Since she lives in Raleigh no one will tell me why the letter was sent to Cary, NC. Then from Cary in transit to next facility. No one knows where that is. Now Dec. 22 it is still in "transit to next facility" what a sorry mess. WISH I COULD GIVE YOU LESS THAN ZERO STARS. I'll stick with a better way to send mail and packages. read more

No customer service at all. Always a bad attitude. If you can spare yourself the headache.

I have been coming to this post office for a year and have never had an issue until today. I was shocked and pissed off. What happened to this post office and the super nice employees? I walked in, grabbed a box that didn't work, grabbed another box and put it together, packed all of my stuff and then was told that the system was down and it was cash only unless you were using the full service machine. I had my debit card out and everything was packed to the brim and the box was closed. I was then told I could only buy the box at the counter with exact change! I figured full service was full service, but no. The clerk lady waited until the package was packed up to tell me all of that along with exact change. There was not a whole lot of helpful. I asked if I could leave something and take the box then come back with money from my house. Nope, but 2 other people came in and were helped (with attitude) and did not have to pay exact change!? I was being nice and I definitely wasn't a douche. I don't know what their beef is, but I'll just head to the knightdale post or ups. read more

Worst sorry Post Office in this whole area. Incompetent. Do not answer phones. If your mail doesn't arrive good luck you'll never get it. They're no help whatsoever. You'll wait and be unhappy. It's like waiting on a line to Hades. read more

My Expected delivery date was Friday, December 3, 2021 and by 4pm that same afternoon Friday, December 3, 2021 (the same day) my package was already being returned to sender because according to USPS, my apartment number was not included in my address. I consider this unacceptable and very poor service! Package could have been held and local USPS could have requested more info. and or allow for me to contact or request a redelivery however I was unable since package was IMMEDIATELY processed on the SAME DAY it was expected to be delivered to be sent back!! No excuse...just VERY POOR service AS ALWAYS from the Brentwood Postal Office - 2777 Brentwood Rd, Raleigh NC 27604. PS- I was given a call from some lady in the Brentwood Postal Office that afternoon after I called USPS and a case number was created. When I simply complained to her and was expressing my frustration, she cut me off and said she is not there to baby sit packages...I said that was poor service and she hung up on me. I'm already upset about my package and instead of apologizing and or trying to use good customer service skills to diffuse the matter, she says what she say's and hangs up on me! Someone else and more professional should have called me if she lacked the customer service skills. You only have to look at the Google reviews for that Postal Office address if you don't believe me. To make matters worse, I have to waste MY TIME leaving this feedback. And....I still don't have my package. read more

Karen the worst she has side conversations with people and wasn't helpful. It was like she was doing me a favor.

I understand that packages can get mixed up from time to time. My frustration is actually with the lack of service I received on the phone when trying to inquire about my "lost" package. It was showing as being received at this location 2 days prior. I'm convinced the reason the phone is always busy is because instead of helping people they just keep putting folks on hold and it keeps the line tied up. read more

Lazy and incompetent. I've had several issues with my packages being lost or my mail never getting to its intended recipients the past 5 years I've lived in the area. The post has too of high turnover rate, since the facility is too small to withstand the volume of people it delivers to. Still no excuse for sitting on my package for over 5 days without any notification ( it's not as if I haven't live in the same apartment complex for 5 years plus if they didn't know the exact apartment there's always the front office) and then returning it to the place I purchased from 10 days after it should have been delivered to me. Either malicious intent on the post office or the workers are just lazy. read more

I have lived in the area for a little over a year and this is the worst post office EVER!!! I do not understand why it takes almost a week for me to receive mail when it is being sent locally. The employees that work at this location are extremely rude and offer little to no assistance and good luck with them answering the phone. I am now receiving my mail either on the day that it is due or after the due date . I guess my only option now is to go paperless with all of my bills. I only hope that they all offer paperless because snail mail will have me in a world if trouble. USPS needs to get on top of this ASAP!!!! read more

I keep getting mail in my box that doesn't belong to me , so this Sunday I went to the this location where our mail is routed out from . I rang the buzzer because I know they work on Sunday , a guy opens the half door and looks at me like " what do you want " so I preceded to tell him I got this mail in my home box that didn't belong to me . Very rudely he told me to bring it back tomorrow , that he was working with a skeleton crew and didn't have time to deal with it . I told him I would just put it in the mailbox outside , as I was walking out the door he hollered at me to make sure I put a note on it saying it was delivered to my box but didn't belong to me or it would be just left in the box . The whole time I was walking to the box I was thinking "Not my circus, not my monkeys." read more

I had horrible experiences at this post office for a insurance claim. I received a letter saying to take my box for inspection at ANY post office. I made the mistake of taking it at this post office and wasting my time. I kept getting the run around. I left my box with them because they wanted the supervisor to finish the form. It never happened two weeks later. I only had a few days left for the form to be filled out before my claim was denied. They were rude and disrespectful to me the majority of the time. Some staff were okay but this could have been handled way better. It's not their job to tell me their opinions about the insurance claim but rather the supervisor to inspect the box and send off the form. I finally asked for my box back and went to another post office, where the supervisor at the knightdale location was kind and adequate at her job. She was able to process the form correctly. Seriously, go else where if you have the choice. I should have paid attention to their very low ratings compared to other post offices. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. They have smashed my packages, lost my packages and consistently deliver my packages to the wrong address. I live in the Brentwood neighborhood ever since the new route person started about 1-2 years ago, they deliver about 1 out of every 5 packages to the wrong address. I have had 2 packages go missing never to be recovered. Went to talk to the manager and they tried to give me the runaround, they really don't care. I found out its happening all over my neighborhood. I put out fliers organizing the neighborhood for a Mass Class Action Lawsuit against this Post Office. I left a warning letter yesterday for the driver, about the lawsuit and giving them one more chance. Today I received a shipment of metal aerosol cans completely smashed like pancakes, it would require close to 1,000lbs to smash pressurized aerosol cans like that. They appear to have been deliberately run over by a vehicle. They made it clear what they thought of my letter. I believe someone at this post office deliberately ran over my package as direct retaliation for my letter. Times up for them, they wont be shaking off a class action lawsuit by an entire neighborhood. We will be pushing as a group for Federal Prosecution as well. I am a retired Veteran, who just happens to have 6 years working for USPS in the past. I have nothing but time on my hands and a vindictive personality. We are about to bury them in litigation. There are about to be allot of people at this PO going to court, loosing their jobs AND going to prison soon. Its a federal crime what they have been getting away with. read more

Ive had nothing but bad experinces with this PO. I love my carriers. They didn't have any stamps or only Hanuka stamps at Christmas time. This is the main office come on!! Look around at the cost of a first class stamp hard to find. Ive had to wait more than 20 minutes as an employee took her break came back I was still on the line. why isn't there 3 windows open on a sat. Does the line really need to be all the way to the door. Ive walked out and shipped UPS with no line. Most employees are great one is horrible. I now use Charlie C's post office never a line problem of guff. read more

I love this post office! I mail a lot of packages for work and prefer coming here to any other PO; Karen, Kim, Cindy and the rest of the staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. When there's a long line they do a good job of keeping it going, including separately assisting people who are only picking up packages or who need other non-mailing services. They're open slightly later than most other nearby post offices (4:30 weekdays) and have brief Saturday hours (10-12 noon), plus there's an automated postal machine there for use in the lobby. Parking can be terrifying but that's all to do with the location and not the business itself, but be warned! People love to zip down that first entrance as fast as they can while paying no attention to anything around them, so back out of your parking lot slowly. Wish this was my delivery PO; I'm unfortunately stuck with Sunnycrook -- oops, I mean Sunny*brook* -- but this one is close enough to me that I can regularly drop off packages here and know that they (and I) will get better treatment than at my local! read more

Sometimes it gets annoying when your waiting for a shipment and the tracking says its out for delivery,You wait all day only to realize the mail man probably forgot to deliver it and it gets rescheduled. No wonder they are in such poor shape financially.I never ever ship anything important via usps....Funny mail gets delivered to my house very often at 7pm ridiculous read more

OMG! The worst service ever - rude, unprofessional, uncaring liars. I callled 7 times about one problem and no one ever answered. No one ever returned a call. This was to get a package that the carrier listed as Refused even though they never offered it to me or my wife, who were both home at the supposed delivery time. Then I went to the PO and stayed for an hour to meet with a supervisor. I was told she was busy getting carriers out the door. After my appointment time was passed I rang the back room buzzer and was cautioned against doing so by one of the counter people. When someone came to the door I was told the supervisor was now in a meeting and could not meet me today. This was after one of the counter people (Sonny) threatened to call the police if I did not move away from his counter. Complete runarounds, and the toll free customer support number only filed case numbers - which did nothing to help get my package properly delivered. I do not have my package though I paid for it. In 4 months of getting mail at this address after moving here, this is the second major incident (they lost a package in the back room for FOUR weeks) plus weekly we get mail for the wrong people, lots of package delays because the carriers get lazy and do not want to finish the route because they are behind (depart PO at 11:52 AM and scan delayed delivery note online at 8:33 PM even though no delivery was attempted) etc. read more

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I have had the worst service ever the few times that I have been forced to go here. Once, I showed up 35 mins before closing time and their doors were locked. There were people inside, I could hear them talking and laughing, but they wouldn't respond to a knock. Today, I went and stood in line for an hour and a half to pick up a package. One of the reasons that everyone in the long line had to wait so long was because the person that was supposed to be helping at the pick up door left without telling anyone (apparently lunch and a break are more important that the 2 seconds it takes to ask someone to cover). Every time an employee stepped forward during the long wait, we asked for help but we were told to get back in the other line and that "someone would be there eventually". Multiple people left without being helped. After an hour and fifteen minutes into that wait, they finally realized that no one was working the pick up door. The person who arrived and was meant to help me refused to look for my package even though I had my tracking number and confirmation because it was on my phone and not on an orange sheet. I asked when I would receive the orange sheet, because according to the tracking information the package has been at this post office for two days already. The response was that there was no guarantee I'd ever get it and I'd just have to wait. The employees were rude and condescending. For a Government Agency to refuse to help and tell me I may never get my package is not ok in my opinion. I will be calling whomever I need to as many times as I need to to resolve this issue and get my package and the item that I have paid for. I would suggest if at all possible to avoid the Brentwood Post Office. They will cause you nothing but wasted time and lots of stress. read more
