You refused to deliver my package because there is a "problem with my address." There is no problem with my address. My wife and I get mail and packages at our address every day. We order pizzas and Uber rides that come right to our doorstep. My mobile detailing guy came right to my place with the address I gave him. As some others have said...it seems silly to rate post offices however, I ordered glasses and according to the sellers site they were supposed to arrive today 6/14 but when I use the usps tracking it says that it was "sorted incorrectly" and was sent to a post office in Gilbert (meaning they won't arrive until Monday). So now it is "in transit" to the correct post office - the one on Thomas. Now I know that this might not be this particular office's fault however I have had many issues with this office. They've refused to deliver packages to the door when necessary because it's "undeliverable" when the fact of the matter is...they don't want to find my apartment to leave it at my doorstep. I have had to go out of my way to pick up packages because they're lazy. I just want my glasses and honestly I wish they would've been delivered via ups or fedex. read more

Went to the Arcadia Post Office to try and fix the issue I had with the Fedex Shipping Center. It was the Saturday before Christmas and the line was LONG and they only had two postal workers manning the counters. It COULD have been ugly. But I have to hand it to both of them....they had that line MOVING. They did a great job of handling the line....and helped me get my Christmas packages shipped. If I could give zero stars I would. The lady assisting me was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I went to ship a couple late presents and knew she obviously would need the addresses to input in the system. Having come from work I didn't have a marker to write on the box so I found a couple pieces of receipt paper and wrote them on there. The lady scoffs and says "you used my paper?! You know we have scratch paper over there". Well no, I didn't obviously or I would've used that. She then hands me a marker and tells me to write it on the boxes. I do and then she says it's not "in the right place and it has to go here". I'm on a time crunch and just don't like her attitude at all at this point so I say I'll just do it later and grab my boxes to go. One particular brown haired male worker is so spiteful and mean that I now order my stamps online so I don't have to walk to this post office, which is the only one in walking distance for me. I've said it for years, and I'll say it again. If I could choose who delivered my packages, I would never deal with USPS again. Let me start by saying that I have never physically stepped foot in this Post Office before, but it's the location that I've had to deal with about an international package. Here's what happened. I made an online purchase from an out of country vendor in June. June 22nd, it arrived in the United States. August 9th, I call this Post Office inquiring about the location. I've had no updates, their website says that my tracking number does not exist, so what's going on? They tell me it isn't showing up in their system, and it must still be sitting at customs, as international packages do sometimes for up to 8 weeks. I guess that made sense, so I waited a few more weeks. Mid September, I give them another call because absolutely nothing has happened, and I still don't know what's going on. This time, the gentleman I talked to actually found my tracking number in his system. The bad news was that they had made a delivery attempt on July 4th, and it was now in the process of getting returned to sender. I expressed my disbelief and he said they might be able to catch it before it got sent back, etc. I've been sitting around, twiddling my thumbs like some sort of blindly trusting idiot, and finally called back again today. The employee I spoke to found my tracking number again, but this time was very confident that it was getting returned to sender and that there was nothing she nor I could do. She'd make a note but the chances of anything happening were slim. I don't understand how one delivery attempt was made, and then gets returned to sender. I never received any delivery attempt notification. I also live in an apartment complex, so I am very hard pressed to believe that there was absolutely no way to deliver a package. It's disheartening to see how USPS handled this whole situation - especially for them to say there's nothing they can do about it. They put so many customers out of their money for well below average service, and they genuinely don't care. If I could give 0 stars for the United States Postal Service as a whole, I really would. But this is Yelp, and you can't do that. Also, I guess I'll give the 1 star because at least all the employees I spoke to were friendly enough. You screwed me out of money and my package, but at least y'all were nice about it, thanks! read more

There are no pens so bring one if you think you'll need one. Be prepared for at least 3 people in line ahead of you no matter what time of day. One lady told me they didn't have any tape at the post office to tape up the flat rate box I got from the display and tried to sell me tape from their little store. I just went down to the unmanned counter and taped up my box with the tape that was sitting there as I waited in line patiently. I can't believe she'd lie to my face to sell me tape or send me home. I told him how the day manager treated me rudely, condescendingly, giving me misinformation, telling me he "didn't know" to my questions and finally telling me with a grin on his face, to have the company manager call the P.O. to speak with him, knowing full well that phone rarely gets answered. The manager of the store I was doing business with called me two days later saying she tried to no avail to get anyone to pick up the P.O. phone. Jim took notes while I spoke, saying this was not acceptable behavior. He said he would write up a formal complaint on this branch including the manager's name and they would ultimately have to give account. ALSO, there's a new satelite P.O. on 24th and Flower. This must be one of the slowest and worst post office in the area. Our work mail gets delivered by this location and delivery service is very inconsistent. Many times where I check my mail tracking info and says it's out for delivery but doesn't get delivered till 1-2 days after. They have lost my packages couple of times. We regularly get other random mail that does not belong to us or anywhere close (out of state). I have returned same mail that came back to us twice. Many times we receive torn up letters. They have delivered mail twice in one day because they forgot to bring the rest of the mail on their first delivery. Oh and don't bother calling them because they will never answer. Surprise! Great customer service!! I don't visit my post office frequently and probably should have checked their hours of operation before just assuming normal business hours applied Mon-Fri. So around 4 PM yesterday, I attempted to pick up a piece of certified mail. The counter portion of the post office had already closed for the day and I stood there (undoubtedly looking confused) trying to figure out if there was a self-help option and/or to figure out the best time to return. This post office is terrible. Once your mail arrives at this station, who knows wtf happens to it? THEY certainly don't. I have emailed, and called repeatedly to no avail. The line is continuously busy, all times of the day - ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. My package arrived at the station on 4/15 and disappeared. No one seems to care or have any customer service skills capable of calling or emailing me back. I was able to get Henry Almanza (602-957-2693) on the phone ONCE (I didn't know at the time it was a freakin miracle, as I have never been able to get through to ANYONE since then). He refreshed me on the tracking info "Well, it shows it arrived here on 4/15." Yep. I'm well aware of that part, hence the call... He said he would call me back after he talked to the fellow that did my route. He DID call me back to say he wasn't able to get a hold of him while he was on his route but he would keep me posted. I never heard from him again. I was given a case ID# and some other number that I have referenced with all my correspondence (4 addt'l emails), and the original tracking number. I submitted another claim to the 'main' post office customer care email over a week ago, and have yet to receive a response from them either. This isn't the first time I've had issues with this station. I order regularly from online vendors and quite often the tracking info never gets updated once it reaches the Arcadia station. I don't know how that's possible, but I've seen it happen multiple times. It arrives there, then miraculously gets delivered without ever being scanned to show it's 'out for delivery' OR shows it's out for delivery and then still doesn't arrive at my home for another 1-2 days (if at all). I probably wouldn't even have written a review, had they just given me the courtesy of keeping me informed, as Henry had promised. Even if, ultimately, the package was lost for good, at least I would know, and could consider the issue resolved; not to my liking, but over with. At this point, I have chosen to reorder my "lost" items out of pure frustration and lack of any other recourse. Consistent problems with mail delivery for years, unable to get any resolution despite talking with managers, filing complaints online. Problems include no mail delivery, mail delivered after dark, getting other neighbors mail, mail that has been addressed correctly being sent back as no known address (inlcuding important things like checks, bills, etc.). Just this week, we are missing mail from the IRS that has been unable to be located. Although we have an excellent credit rating, we have been contacted twice by collections agencies to collect on medical bills we never received. We probably don't even know half of what is missing. read more

I have the misfortune to live on a route served by this post office. It is terribly managed. We had a letter carrier who cared, but he has been removed from our route, and now we have a different letter carrier every day. Most don't know the route, and I have seen some confusedly driving around looking for addresses. Some of the letter carriers don't seem to care if they deliver the mail to the correct address or not. I just returned from a trip, and during my absence, my mail was officially on hold. When I returned, my mailbox was full of mail. Last year I complained to the national 800 number about problems with my mail, and I received a number sent to me by the manager to call him to discuss the matter personally. I dialed the number multiple times, but during office hours it constantly signaled busy. After about 20 attempts to get through, I gave up. I suspect the phone is left off the hook during business hours to avoid the numerous complaints. I don't understand why the person running this post office isn't fired and replaced by someone competent. A private business would go bankrupt if it were managed as poorly as the Arcadia Post Office in Phoenix is. read more

Horrible. Mailed out three packages on Wednesday that were literally getting sent to my friends who live a block away. Somehow these packages still haven't arrived and it's now almost Sunday. Customer Service is horrible at this location. Absolutely no sense of urgency, half the workers (ladies at the front counter) are always standing around talking and laughing regardless of how long the line is. The posted hours on all websites including the official USPS website is 9am to 5pm, however today when I arrived at 4:29pm to pick up my package the doors were being locked internally by a postal worker. I grabbed my phone to check the time, it was now 4:30...I stood there confused as to why the door was being locked.... Looking at the man on the other side of the door who was laughing as he shut the blinds and completely ignored me.... As if it was funny that he just locked me out. I called USPS costumer service who confirmed that they are supposed to stay open until 5pm and advised me to file a complaint with the Postmaster. If possible avoid this place....They are horrible when it comes to common courtesy and an awful representation of the USPS..... OH and don't bother calling.... i have photo proof of the result of the mishandling/lost mail of the mail being delivered on my route at courtney village at papago apartment homes 4849 e roosevelt st phoenix az 85008. we as the community have escalated this to the post master and no action is being taken, i have personally taken photos of federal, state, and finacial mail just sitting in our mail area due to the mishandling of mail not being placed correctly. usps tracking scans is also showing mail undeliverable, refused when it is not, no name on mail when there is shipping proof there is a name on the label. we will not stop escalating this issue and will climb every ladder we have to until this issue is addressed and taken seriously. i am personally a victim of identity theft and this is a serious issue when i can walk to my mail area and pick up someones check, irs document, social securty document and do what i wish with it. Worst service ever, I've been calling constantly for over an hour. The phone line is still busy, I honestly think they leave their phones on the line because they're so lazy they don't want to have to answer it! I've been tracking my package online since I ordered it, it arrived here on Saturday, and didn't go out for delivery until this morning on Monday at 8:40 am, it is now 4:45 pm the post office is all most closed. I still haven't received my package and I am livid! Not to mention I can't get a hold of any one to tell me what on earth has happened!
