I have had three packages go missing. I had to take it up with consumer Affairs because the local post office says "it was delivered in my mailbox" By far the worst post office I have ever encountered. We mailed party invitations and spent over $150 on stamps and majority of the 80 we mailed, didn't arrive to their designated destinations, we didn't even receive the letters back they pretty much disappeared. Very VERY upsetting a lot of family was upset to have not received their invites and we were upset they were not shipped correctly. Even though this place is going out of business they can still be thorough with their jobs. I get being laid off sucks but not performing correctly on the job impacts others. This was an incredibly disappointing experience. over $150 dollars on postage wasted for no one to get their invites. Wish we could go back in time and have this resolved. 1 star since 0 isn't possible. Do better. read more

Just when I thought the USPS couldn't get any worse...until I met the Patterson Post Office. Over 20 phone calls into this place and still nothing. Each time I called, I was automatically put on a hold for the "operator" to pick up and no one did. I called over a period of hours and still nothing. There is no option for you to select from and would hang up on you shortly after. I was so frustrated that I called the Atwater Post Office and someone answered right away! They gave me a general answer but suggested I call the Patterson Post Office. I laughed and told her that I'd been trying all day. After another 5 to 10 calls someone finally picked up the phone. A true miracle. She gave the same general information but said she would look into this and get back to me. Well, it's been over two weeks now and I haven't received a single phone call from them. I'm not surprised but just disappointed. I don't know if they're understaffed, lazy, or a combined of the two but there is no excuse to not answer the phone for almost an entire day and not get back to someone. They are public servants and they failed big time! Not the type of work ethic our tax dollars should continue to fund! read more

US Post Office - My tracking info. - Post Offices Near Me - Patterson, California

Rude employees and some of them lack basic customer service skills. In their attempt to be politically correct, they are rude to you even if you have been waiting in line for a long time. They allow unprepared people to leave the building then return with their "place in line" unaffected. Keep in mind that I was in line for 20 minutes already and never saw this particular customer "momentarily" step out. So yes, everyone should wait in line. The civil thing to do is let the person already in line go first and not have preference over the one that left the building and then "returned". Obviously, we are all in a hurry and none of us want to wait. Still everyone should be treated equally and expected to get in line! Also, employees allowed the other customer to offend me and call me names. I was intimidated and felt threatened by the customer and the two employees. Employees have no right to devalue the business of a customer following all the USPS regulations! Rude! Rude! Rude! Training needed ASAP! I'm still upset at this whole situation. read more

This place has the laziest , inconsiderate, attitude always having dumbbells that I have ever seen in my life. I meant come on people your job isn't sending people to the moon!! How can you possibly work in such a small city with a entire staff that is totally lazy. Every single time that I walk into the small post office in Patterson California there are just a bunch of people in the back of the work area yapping and running off at the mouth while there is a line outside of the glass door. I have been going to this post office for over three years and I never took the time out to help them until I met birthday today. How can you possibly tell me that anything that is delivered to the post office after 9 AM in the morning it's not put into your PO Box until the following day. It would be different if this post office was busy like the Turlock post office, Tracy office, Oakland office etc. but this is a post office that has a lazy staff and makes up their own rules as the day goes by. I've had a post office at this location for three years and today Bertha decideTo ask me for identification for something that was left in my PO Box that was mailed directly to me. Who has the time to question someone about their identification who comes to the post office almost each and every day. I literally had to tell her a thing or two because she didn't know her own job. Keep in mind while I was standing in line waiting for someone to come to the front window with several other customers they were in the back Yep yapping and chitchatting and giggling when they could have sorted through the mail and put the proper pick up tag in my PO Box and I would not have had to stand in the line to deal with birther and her attitude today. You guys really need to get it together because your customer service is awful and you guys are so lazy and that's including delivering packages to someone home. read more

I would give no stars if allowed. I have lived her many years at my current address and still receive not only previous owners mail but other peoples mail ALL the time and apparently due to their incompetence others receive my mail as well. Recently someone used credit cards that where shipped to me and went on shopping spree not sure if it someone received my mail due to incompetence or if something more nefarious is going on at the post office so beware. read more

It's been a bit of a mixed bag around service with USPS. The Diablo Grande Community recently has been visited upon by horrendous delivery service. Their have been packages delivered to the wrong addresses, mail dropped in the wrong mailboxes, etc. if this was a seasonal event I would have more compassion and chalk it up to inexperienced carriers. However - This has been a regular occurrence since I have moved here 8 years ago! My ask would be that the local post office takes this seriously and ensure that the same services presented in Patterson is delivered to Diablo Grande! read more

This is The most incompetent usps I've ever used. Twice I've had to have something reshipped because my package was delivered to the wrong house and the third time I wasn't able to get a replacement which resulted in me losing $60 for an order I never received. I don't live in the outskirts of town or up in Diablo Grande. I live less than a mile away from the office located in the suburbs, like the majority of people living in Patterson, and Still they're apparently unable to read a label and deliver to the right house? There's no reason why I should have to have the same package reshipped multiple times or lose money due to their complete negligence. After the experiences I've had, I choose to spend more money on shipping just to avoid the 50/50 chance that I'll get my package or not. Had a package that was supposed to be delivered today. The online tracker said it was out for delivery as of 8:57am. Around 5:00pm, after checking and retrieving my mail and not receiving said package, I checked the tracker again and it said "We attempted to deliver your item at 3:17 pm on March 3, 2017 in PATTERSON, CA 95363 and a notice was left." There was no notice. Not at the mailbox, not at my door, it was nowhere to be found. I called the post office and their excuse for the package not being delivered was because it was given to the wrong carrier, and he had no explanation as to why it said that a notice was left... He promised that the package will be delivered tomorrow, which I hope it is because I need the items contained for Sunday. USPS is turning into OnTrac, a sorry excuse for logistics. read more

They always deliver to the wrong address! They don't answer the phone, the service is just horrible and they are old and rude! Came home as usual around 530 pm...went to get mail and discovered carrier had not locked the box containing all the mail for me and neighbors. Leaving it all at risk for theft. I let as many as I could know to get their mail asap....tried calling post office but it was closed for day...no way to get someone to lock it for night. Box had not been tampered with so it was carriers mistake. read more

I'm a constant shipper as I sell clothes online so as far as shipping goes, that's fine, they scan the item the same day I drop it off & arrives in a timely fashion. What baffles me is the service, the ladies there could be a bit friendlier, it doesn't hurt to be more courteous to the customers, i understand some customers aren't easy to deal with but it doesn't hurt to try. I've had negative experiences with deliveries on multiple occasions where I see my package was delivered but is nowhere to be found in my mailbox or on my doorstep. When I've addressed these issues with the staff they are rude, blame it on the recipient, & when they realize it's their mistake (I.e not leaving the community box key in the personal mailbox, placing the package in the wrong mailbox, scanning it as delivered & taking it back to the post office for the sake of not ringing the doorbell) they don't apologize & still try to excuse their poor delivery service. There is a blonde lady though who always rings the doorbell when larger items come in & she is very friendly. Other carriers could really take some notes! So overall, yes they ship my items as I'd expect but their service could improve drastically. read more
