To the attention of the Postmaster... First, we don't like…read morethat, sometimes, packages get crammed in our mailbox. One time, I had the worst time wrestling a package out of our box. That hasn't happened for a while now. We hope it never does. Second, we don't like that only packages are brought to our door, but not the rest of our mail. We realize that it's because of time use, to maintain efficiency. Still, it would be nice if everything is brought to our door. Third, it would also be nice if our mailbox was moved to our house. Our health issues make it a challenge to get our mail every day. The traffic situation adds to that challenge. Sometimes, we have to wait a little while. Then, there's the weather. People don't like getting their mail in bad weather. We're no different. Still, it's an efficiency issue with your policy. Fourth, placing policy before people is not a good way to conduct business, as far as we're concerned. You have to answer to those above and try to be fair with everyone. Too much policy might scare people away, but all businesses set policies for themselves and the people they serve. No business and nobody is ever perfect. Lastly, I've received great service with the clerks at the front desk. Every experience was great. Thank you for your time in reading this review.

They know everyone in town and would know what to do if some one lost a dog . They have a nice PO box area , and it is always clean and well kept . Very friendly .

I went to the LOS Banos post office to renew my passport. when I entered the office there was one…read moreperson at the counter getting her passport. Two employees, one man and one woman The person renewing was talking to the woman and the man idle. I started to go to the counter when the MAN gave me a dirty look. So I went back. Then the man starts helping the young lady getting her passport. I went up to the woman employee. I told her I was renewing my passport so she started giving me application and answering my questions. When I got to the part of photos I told employee I wanted to take the photo there and then I would go to my post office in Dos Palos CA to mail my renewel. This is when the man interrupted us and pretty much told me off. In a very sarcastic voice gold me. YOU CAN DO IT ALL AT THE DOS PALOS POST OFFICE AND GET YOUR PICTURE DONE AT Walgreens OR ANY OTHER STORE. I REPLIED THAT I DID NOT WANT TO DO THAT. HE SAID "THEN YOU DONT WANT A PASSPORT". I was stunned. First because he was listening to our conversation instead of listening and helping his client, and second, I am 92 years old and I have never been talked to like this by a public servant, not even the DMV,or any body else for that matter. I hope someone somewhere in this jurisdiction that will read this and take action.

Found right on downtown Main Street, this post office is always busy. They have a lot at the side…read morebut parking is limited so your best bet is on the side streets. But the parking lot flows out to the next street, which is E. Olive Avenue. Mid-way out, there are mailboxes where you can drop stamped goods. The lines are always long and I will not even mention how they are over the holidays. While waiting, each customer is approached by an agent who asks what kind of service they're in for. They tick off some boxes on a little form and give it to you. This is meant to facilitate their service, which I appreciate. We didn't have that feature back in NYC. You're on your own back there. Anyway, more often than not, it doesn't turn out exactly what you need or want. An agent says this way and another would say that way. It seems that they are as confused as their customers. It would also help if they had a stamp vending machine or a line meant just to buy stamps. Don't you hate falling in a slow line just for a couple of postal stickers? Not everyone has foresight in storing stamps. And I'm talking about my husband. :)
