I've lived all over California, from San Diego to Marin County, Sonoma County, and now Paradise. The Paradise post office is by far the best facility I've ever seen, and it is difficult to understand the few negative reviews here on Yelp. I suspect the reviewers were actually part of the problem and I for one don't trust their reviews. The Paradise post office is modern, and is physically the nicest post office I have EVER seen! The employees are very competent and helpful, and they're also friendly. I've lived in Paradise for 14 years now and my mail delivery and my mailman (who has served my residence for all those years) are awesome. I've never had a problem with this post office in the entire 14 years, which might help you understand why I don't trust the negative reviews here on Yelp. read more

The lady with the bad attitude here was mad that we were mailing a package to Chico. She tried to convince us to drive it over and hand deliver it instead. ??? Hello ??? 1) we already paid for and packaged everything, 2) it's none of your business how we value our time, and 3) I guess you don't like having to do work that pays for your job. I was confused by the hostile attitude at first, but after reading the reviews here, I guess it was the norm. read more

IMPROVE your employee's attitude... I walked in there was greeted said I have lost my mail key. She looked at me, and let out a big sigh and rolled her eyes as if I was a dumbass. She asked where I got the mail key from. I said my landlord. She rolled her eyes and said you're suppose to have 3! And I'm suppose to know that why????. The whole interaction was all about her being put out having to look up my address and create a work order. Get it together Monica !!!!! read more

Had a bit of a mail mishap and didn't receive an important letter when I thought I would (stuff happens no big deal) and Angie could not have been more helpful. She contacted me the moment I sent in my missing mail request and followed up with me everyday until I got it, going as far as to check a multitude of places near and far to make sure it wasn't mistakenly misplaced. Couldn't recommend her enough and truly thankful for her willingness and care towards my issue. Thanks Angie!! read more

By far the laziest slackers in the area! Government employee at it's finest. Want to visit the post office? Maybe if they open when they say they are. Want your mail, only when they feel like delivering it. Want to call to see if they opened? Naw we don't have a phone number anymore. Complete ignorance. I hope they all get fired. read more

My very special Post Master hand delivered a piece of mail that had been lost and seemed to be looping in different cities. This piece of mail was hand made birthday cards from my Granddaughters which is always a special gift on my birthday. I thought that I would never receive them. It broke my heart watching it go everyday to a different city other than in my mailbox. Knowing how upset I was, the Post Master hand delivered my special piece of mail. I was overwhelmed by her kindness and caring. That's going above and beyond. This is one special lady! read more

There service is so horrible. Every time I order a package there is a problem. Then they tell me they put the key in someone else locker for me to pick mine up and there's nothing they can do about it. I got a package sent from a family member worth a lot of money and now someone else has it and who even knows who that could be. They told me there's nothing they can do but call the person who sent it and send another one. It doesn't just work like that especially when it's the post office peoples fault. And the lady with really short blonde hair at the front always has such an attitude with everyone no matter how nice and patient you are. This is so ridiculous like come on get your stuff together this is so unacceptable. read more

If I could give the USPS Paradise, CA 95969 a "0" I would but there is no option. I have had the pleasure of receiving mail from many USPS offices all over the great state of California from large cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco to small rural town like Janesville, And Hoomeland. So it's safe to say I have had a lot of experience with USPS. The USPS of Paradise, CA is the worst, most unprofessional, disorganized office I have ever experienced, specifically the current acting Postmaster. I have not received my mail for nine months. I have filed many complaints, spoken directly with him, and emailed him for months and months with no resolution. I have been to the office and met with him many times. He seems to think that whatever he says at that moment will placate a consumer but then he does nothing to actually follow up with and solve any issues. He would not even allow me to finish a sentence. He is disrespectful and speaks down to me because I am a woman. I refuse to be treated this way. My banks, the DMV and so many other mail items that are time-sensitive have not been delivered which has had a very detrimental impact on my life. Recently, I ordered hundreds of dollars of merchandise from Macy's and as soon as I pressed "submit order" I found that it would be sent USPS and how sorry I was. I never received the merchandise and that was weeks ago. I have filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs. I have a Consumer Affairs Advocate and have now hired an attorney to pursue this issue. We do have recourse. Very little recourse when it comes to the USPS but there are options. I will sue this USPS. I wrote a letter to the Postmaster General in Wahsington DC. Please never trust this USPS! read more

We have had some terrible problems with someone going on line and having our mail illegally forwarded to them, in an attempt to rob our money and identities. If it was not for Michael, the postmaster in Paradise, we would still be under the robbers thumb. But he went out of his way to help us, and today we received a huge package full of our mail. Clearly the robbers were contacted by federal agents, and we do hope that the robbers are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But after trying to fight this for a month or more and getting nowhere on our own, Michael was able to make headway on our case. He's a hero to us, now and forever. Thank you, sir. Thank you indeed. read more

Walked in and spoke with dispatch about some issues and he was great to speak with. They are trying to work things out with Chico USPS as well. And postal person who helped me was kind and helpful as well. Small town is great. read more

I wish I'd read the reviews on Yelp before getting mixed up with this post office. Although the address was correct on the package I sent to my elderly mother (who lives in a senior apartment 20 feet from a main street with her apt clearly marked), the postal carrier for some reason couldn't deliver the package to her door (It was medical equipment). My sister lives in the next apartment and said there was no notice left. Talked to some lady in the post office who said they'd make another attempt (they didn't). I then called a 2nd time a few days later and spoke to a guy who said he'd investigate and call me first thing the next morning. Call never came. Fortunately for me, I'd used my address as the return address and received a tracking notice that the package came back to my home town post office this morning, so I'll get the package back. I won't say that trained gerbils could do a better job of running this post office in Paradise, but I'd have a really hard time arguing against it if someone else made the comparison. These folks give government workers a bad name. Shame on you, Paradise Post Office. Take more pride in your job. read more

My roommate's and I have had some undesirable experiences with this post office. If the garbage cans are anywhere close to our mailbox the mail man won't deliver the mail and we get a letter saying not to do that. Also if someone parks their car in the driveway next to the mail boxes instead of getting out 1 step on a clear day to put the mail in the box he just doesn't deliver it at all. Whatever happened to the old mail motto that no matter what the mail must go through? read more

I hate labeling all the employees at this US Post office as being lazy so I'll say 4 out of 5 employees there are worthless. I have done everything in my power to go paperless not because I'm worried about the enviornment but because I can't stand the Post Office. I go on vacation once a year if I'm lucky and if I decide to use my driveway to load my camper I think I should be able to do that without having to worry about the postal worker holding my mail. Evidently the worker can't walk 15 feet to deliver the mail. This doesn't really suprise me due to the fact the carrier can't hand me my mail when I'm standing right next to the box. I've spoken with the Post Office and have tried to reason with them but they hide behind strict adherence to life or death rules and regulations. The real problem is I'm trying to reason with an entity that delivers junk and knows you put up with it because there might be a bill buried amongst the junk. With that business model you don't need to worry about customer service or producing a product the public wants. read more

It is amazing that an organization can be so highly incompetent and ineffective and not even care. I have had a PO box at the Paradise, CA post office for almost 15 years. In the last 4 months they have not been delivering the vast majority of my mail. They deliver junk mail but they sent back Christmas cards, doctors bills, bank statements, W-2s and other highly important pieces of mail. I now have to drive over one hundred miles to downtown Sacramento to get my W2 forms. I have requested to talk to the postmaster several times. Each time a different person comes out and claims to be the postmaster and convinces me the problem is solved. It never is solved and my mail continues to get sent back. I have a new bank account and missing credit card for it as well because it was not delivered or sent back. There are some incredibly rude people working there as well. It is ridiculous that such rude incompetent people can keep their jobs. The problem of them being unable to deliver my mail to my PO box has caused me significant problems and hardships over the last 4 months. I may actually need to change my PO box to a neighboring town 30 minutes away. It amazes me that you can pay the post office for a service and they do not feel any obligation to deliver that service. As far as I am concerned they are stopping me from getting my mail and that constitutes mail fraud. read more
