They are extremely slow. One person working. There isn't a pen to be found and certainly no help.

Worst post office staff ever. Outright negative and dumb. Everything takes soooooo long. Better take your business elsewhere.

Today I found out I can skip the line and just use the self kiosk, just the option to print from QR code was tucked away under 'label broker'. This self-kiosk seems to have more functionality now (can order stamps too), which is great to see. Wish there were more of them. Pros: +a few self kiosks that can print a label from a QR code (label broker option) +organized +ample packing supplies +staff tried to periodically see if people can just use the self kiosks vs waiting in line +plenty of parking -PO boxes Cons: -staff can be a bit apathetic but that's kinda typical USPS -could have more staff working at the counter to speed things us -parking is a bit cramped -self service kiosk scanner wasn't working when I was there

The Merrifield Post Office, using post office logic, removed all but one small drop box in the…read moredrive-thru lane. And without adding pickup times, this remaining box rapidly fills up. This morning, I stopped to mail four items, and found that the box was stuffed full. Not wanting to leave my items exposed to whatever, I tried retrieving them. Along with them came half a dozen of other people's mail items. Being a good citizen, I did the post office's work. Entering through the only operating door (for at least the last week), I dropped the entire batch inside. This would be a classic example of Zohran Mandami's definition of bureaucratic complacency on the part of the post office. The Merrifield Post Office is beyond disreputable and dysfunctional. My only reason for using it is convenience, but even that is becoming shaky.

It probably decreases some of the volume. Once parked roll on in. They offer a lot of services here. A pleasant and efficient staff. Don't go to this one during Christmas as crazy busy. Yet id like to thank the men and women here. They have better rates than the other carriers. Also they've modernized substantially. That is a positive. This location is close to a lot.

Where they never deliver your mail and say that they do and lose it. I've had only bad experiences…read morehere. Last year for my birthday, the mail man delivered my shoes my dad bought me. Then cameras show he takes it back because he thought he delivered it to the wrong address. I call up the postal inspector and they tell me to fill out an Online form to get my $100 back. The online form will not allow me to file a complaint because I don't have a certified mail number. I call this post office. They say to fill out the online form. I come back they say I have to fill out the online form. After 6 months of trying to talk to managers and so forth I give up. Then they stop delivering packages to my door and try to stuff it in my mailbox. When my mailbox clearly gets full after a few days, they take all of my mail and tell me I have to go to the "distribution center" to pick it up. I go to three different locations around my house and no one can tell me where my mail is until I get to this location. The manager "gives me a talking to" for not picking up my mail in my mailbox. After waiting about an hour I finally get my "mail." This has happened multiple times. The last straw was that they said they tried to deliver something to my House door but the note was in the mailbox. I was home the entire day and my cameras show no one trying to deliver anything except I did take Amazon packages from my door. They leave a note saying I need to come to the distribution center to get my package. I go there and they said they accidentally sent it back to the sender. Sorry. No recourse. SOL. I can't believe this. I am considering filing a legal complaint. I spoke to the postal inspector so many times and have gotten no resolution on any of my issues except bureaucracy. I have to take off of work to go to the post office so I'm losing income from this. No wonder the post office is set Uo for failure.

Suddenly a gentleman walks in complaining to the teller about a package that was send to him from eBay with a note saying " this purse is fake I want a refund". The gentleman try to explain the event to the teller and the tellers face is really confused. As he keep saying "I know I already accepted the package, but I still want to rejected" the other teller who is hilarious asked the gentlemen if there purse match any of his outfits. The gentleman clueless about the joke, replied back: "not really" We are all dying laughing. He still want to return the "fake purse" for free Finally I advised him to find the buyer on EBay and ask her for a refund so he could send it back to her. Gentleman replied: that's a great idea! Oh, and for those complaining about delivery service, our mail does not get delivered from this location, but from the main Fairfax office.

I come here for all my mailing needs, and the service is consistently wonderful. The lady who runs…read morethe mail center is absolutely fantastic--always helpful, kind, and professional. Keep in mind that she's just one person managing the entire operation, which is impressive on its own. She deserves some grace for her hard work, so I'd encourage anyone reading negative reviews to consider that. Highly recommend this place for efficient, personalized service!

I am disappointed with my experience at this mail center. A couple of weeks ago, I visited to…read moreinquire about notary services and was told by an employee that the notarization would be free. Based on that information, I returned with my documents to have them notarized. After the notarization was completed, I was informed that there was a $10 fee. Had I been told about the charge during my initial visit, I would have appreciated the opportunity to decide whether to proceed. Instead, I was given inaccurate information and only learned of the fee after the service had already been performed. The issue is not the $10 itself, but the lack of clear and consistent communication. Customers should be able to rely on the information provided by staff, especially regarding pricing. Being quoted one price--or in this case, no charge at all--and then being charged afterward creates confusion and undermines trust.

One Employee is there usually when I visit, yet the employee there always happy , friendly and doing his job perfectly fine! I never had to wait so long! Barely even a short wait! The only issue to be careful of is that they close for a break between 1 pm & 2 pm and if you forgot and still went go get coffee and dessert from Motier or Clifton Cafe ! I'm surprised by all the low reviews of this USPS location! I live in Bethesda and usually go to…read morethe post office there, but I work in Tysons and needed to get my passport application submitted. USPS has 2 locations in McLean; this location on Spring Hill Road is the only one that does passports. Scheduling an appointment online was quick and easy; there were plenty of timeslots available. I arrived at the post office about 7 minutes before my appointment. Almost immediately upon entering, a very polite staff member asked me if I was coming in for a passport. After I told him I was and gave him my appointment time, he had me stand off to the side while he finished helping the customer that he was currently helping. Afterwards, he immediately started to process my passport application. I had read the instructions and filled everything out before, so it was a very painless process. He took photocopies of my drivers license and birth certificate. I already had passport photos taken somewhere else so we didn't need to worry about that. All in all, the process took 5-10 minutes. I have waited MUCH longer at other USPS locations for passport services so it was great to be in and out so fast. Another perk of this location: plentiful free parking. Definitely can't get that in downtown Bethesda.
