Incompetent workers. I have been mailing 5-6 packages every year to my niece in London for 6 years. I have never had a problem until I started using this Norco Branch. I always wrap the packages and decorate them with stickers, drawings, etc. for every holiday (they are taped up tight). It has never been an issue and all packages have arrived beautifully. One woman here, who needed to appear as having authority, made me remove all the wrapping at Christmas and write the mailing information directly on the box insisting it could not be mailed if wrapped. A few months later, I sent an Easter package and a different female told me it needed to be addressed to the United Kingdom and not England. That is false! I have sent at least 36 packages in the last 6 years and have always addressed it to England per England's labeling requirements. She changed the printed label to say United Kingdom. She also told me I would not be able to track the package once it left the US. Wrong again. I have always been able to track the packages all the way until delivery. For this same package, I paid the additional fee for the 3-5-day shipping and 3 weeks later the package is still in LA. I don't know what the problem is with these two employees, but they do not seem to know how their own business works, yet they sure do like to act like they do. I now have a lost package and will have to fight for my $88 refund. Never going back to Norco. read more

The post office itself is a decent size and is always clean. There's plenty of parking every time I've gone, even during the busy hours. The staff is pretty friendly; I have never seen any madness or anger occurring haha. The older man, David, is awesome. He makes the extra effort to be personable. He knows who I am when I come in and puts forth an actual interest in what I'm doing. It's nice to get good customer-employee relationships at a place of government work. read more

It is a large post office, however I never feel as if it is staffed enough. If i can I try and use the self service mailing station for everything. The very last time I went, it was packed to the door, I was next in line, lets say 12-15 people deep I see one employee just moving a few boxes around with no speed, I get the to the front of the line. Then the lady closes her second line in the middle of the rush and wham, down to a single lane. The parking is fine and ample. If you need to swing by they have two boxes set up for drop off, so that goes rather quick. read more

I visited this location for a passport application and the service was great. I had 4 applications to submit along with passport photos and i was done within 30 minutes. All of my documents were in order before arriving so that probably made my process a very smooth one. The employees were very friendly and attentive. They answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. I have recommended this office to my friends and family. read more

After staying away for a few years, I came back to buy some stamps last week, and there were only two people at the counter slow as snails. Line backed up. No sense of urgency. No expediting. Went to visit the Norco post office which closes at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.i arrived at 4:29 and the barriers for using the post office services were already up blocking anyone from entering and getting service. The postal clerk was talking to a customer standing on the opposite side of the barriors. When my turn came I showed the clerk that the time was 4:30 p.m. and could he help me. He refused to help me stating " I'm sorry." He was sorry alright. He needed a lesson on the letter of the law, and the spirit of the law. It's no wonder that the UPS and FedEx is taking so much business from the US Post Office. Have you seen how professional the UPS and FedEx workers look in their uniforms, their clean trucks, and their professional demeanor? This clerk was out of uniform, as most of them are, and looked sloppy and unprofessional. He looked as though he walked off the street and started working. Shame on the US Post Office. This place is horrible. Took of work early so I could get my package they did not deliver yesterday. Was there for 45 minutes and they never located it. The Carrier scribbled a number on the " Sorry we missed you" slip that nobody can decipher now. He also got my address wrong even though he copied it of of my Package . Postmaster Gayland Jackson just provided me the most pathetic "attempt" at customer service! I have been having my mother's mail forwarded to me in San Marcos as she had major deteriorating dementia and I needed to pay her bills and handle her affairs for her. I called the Post Office and they set up and it was working smoothly. I physically went in to have it extend/be permanent as my mother was dying and I am her daughter and Trustee. Everything was fine and working smoothly. For some reason, mail has been stuffed into the mailbox so I called the Post Office today and lovely Mr. Gayland Jackson helped NOT ONE BIT, other to get me more and more frustrated and angry. He told me they don't extend forwardings - it's always 1 year only. SO WHY HAS MY MOTHER'S MAIL BEEN FORWARDED FOR THE LAST YEAR AND 3 MONTHS???? He had nothing that made sense to explain his "rules" vs. what is actually happening. Guess What? They don't keep any records of visits/phone calls! He basically said, without use THE word, that I was lying about coming in and getting the extension extended further. I finally got to the point of hanging up on him when he said " I won't talk to you anymore until you calm down or maybe you would like to call back". Thanks US Government for hiring someone who doesn't give a hoot about the customer (even though the customer is always right) and sits there at the Norco Post Office taking calls and helping not ONE BIT!!! This post office is terrible! STAY AWAY! i get that govt agencys have a bad rap but this one is exceptionally terrible. Its shameful they represent the USA. Customer service skills are nonexistent here. The employees are slow workers and the postmaster Gayden is the worst of them all. I came to renew my passport and the lady working is EXTREMELY rude , the people in front of me in the line agreed with me . She had NO MANNERS or sense of what good customer service is. I'll drive extra just so I never have to come back here and deal with her . She needs to be working in the back in a black room where no one has to put up with her shitty ass attitude . An older gentlemen came in needing a copy of ID and rather than being informative she just dismisses him and tells him they don't do it there and to go to the library. I wish I could give this post office zero stars. I had a package that was never delivered because of issues all caused by the USPS. I scheduled to pick up my package so that there wouldn't be any further delay and it wasn't at the post office when I went to pick up the package days later. I came with my two boys (who are both under the age of 5 )to get a passport and the person who does them I guess was sick. Which I understand can happen. However, they would not help me and my two small boys until they had an additional clerk at the front window bc they said it was busy. However there were two people working the window and another person on the side collecting packages when people came and giving them receipts for it. Also two other employees working the back and front. There were multiple times where there wasn't anyone in line but they would not help us. Finally after waiting in an empty post office for 30 min. waiting for the busy to calm down someone came and helped us. A family of three arrived after and it was 45 min before they said they closed passport processing, the postal employee, Melody, told them that she would not be able to help them bc she closes at three and she would not be done by three so it would be too late. The women even said she had to pull her child out of school early to get him there. Melody responded and said that they were short people and could not help her. The ironic thing is as she was saying that there was only one person in line and another employee asking the "busy " post office lobby if anyone (one person) had any pick up or drop off only. Only one person wore a smile. Everyone else wore a sour unhappy face. If people realize that the energy and way your treat people is most likely the way you will be treated back. Only reason I have two stars and not three is bc Melody decided to help the family when the mom explained the situation again. read more

Went with my boyfriend to apply for a passport and the service was absolutely horrendous. We work full-time so it's hard for us to find time to visit within business hours. And yet even then, we wait for over an hour and a half to the last possible minute before we risk being late for work and yet have to leave with nothing to show for it because although we signed in when we got there and were all ready, within 5 minutes of getting there, we kept getting pushed to the side. The elder plump Asian lady was a bitter, impatient woman who never looked you in the eye, smiled, or welcomed your questions. It was a first-time application and so we had some basic questions about the fees and which one goes into the money order but she didn't even glance at me and answered me in a tone that said 'stop bothering me'. I witnessed how she treated other first-time applicants as well, some of them being people whose first language is not English and she was very impatient and almost rude to them, pressuring them because they weren't answering as fast as she wanted them to. I work in customer service and this was unacceptable even for those who despise their jobs. Overall, a very unwelcoming person who needs a course in customer service or at least basic common courtesy and human respect. read more

I went to the Norco, Ca office to mail a letter certified. There was only one clerk and a long line. Got to the front and she helped me fine with my letter. I paid cash with the amount change of 92 cents. She did not have 92 cents in her till to give back to me....only 92 cents!!! She asked if I could wait for her to get change....so I would have to wait for another customer to pay with change to get mine??? I walked out.
