The postal worker put a totally different country. I called Swampscott PO and they couldn't help me !!! They made the mistake of putting the wrong country on it how can you not help me !? Fast forward to today May 29th after calling the main post office my package is finally back in Swampscott. I called to make sure they didn't send it back to the wrong country AGAIN, thank goodness I did because they had no idea about the package. Yes mistakes happen but not knowing how to rectify the situation is not very good for business. I'm sure I won't get a refund for shipping and it never getting to its destination. It still services as a fully operational Post Office with a facade of the past. It still retains original desks, wall murals, hundreds of brass post office boxes. amazing woodwork and so much more. This post office is over flowing with style and pizzazz. There is plenty of on street parking in front of the post office which is free of meters. The Postal Staff here are very polite courteous and willing to assist with all aspects of postage and shipping. I have always had great service here. I give the Willow Street Branch of the US Post Office a Solid 5 Stars.

I needed to ship in one of those "if it fits it ships" boxes, so I brought my items with me. They even taped it up for me for free (I've had other POs make me buy tape!), waited while I packed it up, wrote the addresses and then they set it up for shipping. It was a great exchange and I'll definitely go back as this is just a 10 minute walk from my house.

When I asked for help with packaging, I was basically told I had to do it myself and showed where the boxes were with the packaging materials. I told the gentleman that I did not know if it would fit. He didn't speak very good English and told me if it didn't fit I would have to go buy a bigger box and come back! He was also having trouble with the touch screen computer he was using with the woman in front of me. I waited 10 minutes and told him, "Fine, I'll go to UPS" and walked out! Absolutely no hospitality whatsoever! I will never send packages out from there ever again! My advice, Go to UPS in Swampscott where they met me at the door and couldn't do enough to help. They have PO Boxes here, you can obtain money orders here, and the usually have really nice stamps and stay up to date with newly released stamps. It is a smaller post office and while there is a little side lot, its not supposed to be used for usps customer, it is for the adjacent building and the business/customers there. There is street parking across the street and down a little bit further, with a handicap spot right out front.
