These people are thieves!!! At Christmas time I wrote my Pastor a letter and I put a gift card in with his Christmas card. Big mistake on my part because someone could feel there is a gift card in it. So, after sending it to him I received an email from USPS maybe 2 weeks after I sent it out showing the card was going to be returned to MY mail box because the Church I sent it to does NOT accept any physical mail. Well I was not aware the Church did not receive mail so that is my fault. However, I should of received the card back at my mail box that day. To this day I have not received it. I keep getting the run around saying that the return address was covered by a label showing it was supposed to be returned to me. A woman named Michelle Dobbs called me stating she seen it then said she would track it down and return it to me. The crooked manager named Richard Vantiegham claims the machine covered the return address with its label. I asked this manager then how did I receive an email showing it was supposed to be in my inbox that day. Obviously they could of just peeled that sticker back to see my address like Michelle Dobbs told me on the phone. Please stay far away from the USPS on church street. I wouldn't normally leave a review on the post office but I feel compelled to share a positive experience I recently had. After a not great experience (for a few reasons part of which was both of my young child were having meltdowns) at the Smyrna location the day before I reluctantly tried and with the Church St Murfreesboro location the next day since I never actually completed sending the packages I had hoped to. Tuesday morning 4/16 around 9 am There was no line (instant relief since I had 2 kids under 2 with me). George waved me over to his register area. He provided excellent customer service. He was friendly and offered a very helpful solution. He was also quick and efficient too which was much appreciated. read more

My packages are late 75 percent of the time and it always rolls into a couple extra days because of weekends and not delivering on Sundays. Ups doesn't give me this problem, and neither does Amazon. This post office has not delivered Amazon packages on more than one occasion. Their delivery confirmation says that they did however they have not. After complaining to the post office the packages so far have been found. The latest package has not been yet. Very poor service. read more

It's the US Postal Service, so you have to lose a star just for that. If you have to deal with them (necessary evil), this isn't such a bad post office to visit. Sure, it's old and a little run down, but some folks call that character. Most days if you have to head to the counter, expect a fairly decent wait. The staff trudges along at a leisurely pace, but when you do finally make it to the counter it's usually a pleasant albeit extended experience. This location also has a APC (automated postal center) machine, so if you simply need to purchase postage or things such as certified mail, you can skip the counter altogether. read more

I'd give them less if I could, but one star should at least go to the poor workers who have to deal with the trash management. Funny how if I did something against them, they'd have the video right up to prove it, but they can't find video proving my innocence of dropping a package off with them that they lost. Some ass in a business suit claiming to be the manager came out to try to humiliate me and talk down to me in the lobby, telling me I should've bought insurance for a first class package, all because I told them a package was lost in their facility. I send these out daily and this is the only one it's happened with. He tried to drop the blame back on me that they never received it, despite my receipt from self service proving otherwise. I received amazing customer service at this location! The women working at the counter were all kind and courteous, and quick!

This place is nearly impossible to reach by telephone. Busy all of the time, and if it somehow manages to ring, they likely won't pick it up. Also, the woman (Veronica) who finally answered my call was incredibly rude. After giving her all of the tracking information including the date and time that my package was left at the facility according to the tracking record, she said: "If that actually happened, your package would have been delivered by now. You need to learn how to track your packages." Terrible. Only reason they get two stars is because the people at the counter are nice, if a little slow. read more

As with many Post Offices, the wait was long. Of course, we did go on a Saturday when hours are already limited. However, I've never met such nice USPS employees than the folks at the Church Street office. The man greeted us right as we walked up, apologized for the wait, and gave us a smile the whole time. Ive had some serious issues with my mail delivery. Ive spoken with both the local and main branch about it. My recent issue is getting packages that have been ripped open, the item removed and then the envelope/ mailer taped shut. The postal service denies its someone on their end and claims the companies I purchased from mailed me empty parcels. Im not buying that. Im not trying to accuse anyone but I started having a lot of trouble when they hired independent carriers. I wish they would raise their training standards. My last issue was my mail hold was ignored. The mail piled up in my box and then front poorch only to be taken back to the facility on the last day of the hold. The carrier wrote a rude note when she delivered it blaming me for stating to leave it all on the poorch. That comment clearly meant when the hold ended because the last time I had a hold the crammed a large box into my mailbox and broke it. Geez read more
