They can close at the time they say. Ai came in today at 4:47 and they had closed and did not want to give me service.

This location I has parking outside and the inside is really clean and spacious. The employees are super friendly which is a plus for me as there's nothing horrible to have someone not greet you or have an angry face. It was very pleasant for me. Feel free to come drop off your packages if you're in the area.

Whenever I have gone inside to drop off PREPAID packages to the counter, I always get dirty looks from the people who have been standing in line for a long time. It looks like I'm trying to crowd ahead of others. It gives me the creeps. Unfortunately, there is no designated spot to drop your package off except to immediately go left to the counter after you enter. Once the postal lady finally looks at you, you loudly have to say "Prepaid," and she points to the counter without saying a word. Then carefully go around the angry people in line and get the heck out of there. If you go to the USPS website, they urge you to USE their prepaid service because it is quicker and easier, with no standing in long lines! But when you get to any post office, there are NO SIGNS where to place your package. This is a problem at every post office that I have tried. The counter area is usually a non-supervised place. I don't want my packages to be stolen or lost or forgotten. Then you have a whole set of new problems. I definitely do not enjoy going to a post office to mail anything. I won't even mention the attitudes of some of the employees.

In 2017 the old Historic Buena Vista Post Office building in Miami's Design District sold for $8.1M The historic Buena Vista Post Office building in Miami's Design District just sold for $8.125 million, marking a near-record price per square foot in the redeveloping neighbourhood. The 2,287-square foot building at 4000 Northeast Second Avenue, which was the former site of the Billionaire clothing store, sold for $3,553 per square foot to a New York-based investment group that represents foreign investors, Chariff Realty Group President Lyle Chariff told TRD. The buyers are part of the same group that purchased Power Studios in the Design District from Chariff and his partners in June 2015. Chariff and Steve Budin, CEO of Sportsinfo.com, were the sellers. Chariff said he had a 10 percent stake. They purchased the building for $479,000 in July 2003, meaning it sold for nearly 16 times its purchase price in just under 14 years. Built in 1921 by Buena Vista's original developer David P. Davis as a post office, the neoclassical building sits on a 3,375-square-foot lot.

Located south of Little Haiti…read moreand north of the Miami Design District, in the 1890's it was a small village, with the homesteads of cracker immigrants William Gleason and E.L. White from Georgia and North Carolina. Along with Lemon City and Little River, Upper Buena Vista is one of the oldest settlements in Miami. Many of the homes here date to Florida's land bloom years of the 1920's when the first subdivisions were built. Tampa developer and architect David P. Davis partnered with pineapple plantation owner Theodore V. Moore to develop two investment properties in Buena Vista. Davis designed both buildings but he only paid for one while Moore paid for the other. Designed in a masonry vernacular style, Davis' building became the Buena Vista Post Office with neoclassical design elements. Moore's building was built in an L shape around the post office. The south portion of the building was completed in 1922 and the north portion was completed in 1926. Moore gave up his pineapple plantation for commercial development. In the 1930s, he opened the T.V. Moore Furniture Store in his building and both the Buena Vista Post Office and Moore Furniture Building anchored the growing neighborhood. On August 4, 1924, the new town of Buena Vista was incorporated only to be annexed by the City of Miami the next year. At that time the post office ceased operation. The building as since served a variety of purposes through the years including a city hall, municipal courthouse, tire store, insurance office, restaurant, and clothing store. In 2017, the building sold for 8 million dollars. There is a sign on the building that lets you know that this summer it is going to be the luxury Swiss watch maker, Patek Philippe. The Moore building is now an event venue. There is a historic marker detailing the history of the buildings in front of the post office.

(Just found this review in drafts & had to post. Clearly I put a LOT effort into it so seems unjust…read moreto not share lol) I just had the WEIRDEST EXPERIENCE EVER at the post office... My building is being tented/fumigated, so I called USPS customer service to give them a heads-up since I was unexpectedly receiving packages that were supposed to come early next week. The lady I spoke with was lovely and super helpful -- she suggested I place a mail hold and pick up my packages on Monday (this was Thursday). I agreed. Later that day, I realized one of the deliveries was a food item that would definitely spoil if it sat on a mail truck all weekend in the Florida sun. I decided to pop into the post office and was thrilled to see barely anyone there (a miracle!). As soon as it was my turn, the woman behind the counter yelled "Next!" without even looking up from her phone where she was actively texting. I approached and explained the situation, saying I'd like to pick up my mail. After looking up my address, she flatly said that if I picked up my mail now, it would cancel the mail hold and regular delivery could restart. I reminded her that my entire building was literally tented and they could not deliver -- I would simply return Monday for the rest. She seemed annoyed and repeated herself. I calmly said I understood, but would just like to pick up whatever was already being held. She exasperatedly turned around and disappeared into the back. After what felt like forever in that FREEZING lobby, she finally returned and told me to "speak with them at the end." I walked down to the other end of the counter and encountered my mailman (who up until that moment, I thought I had a great relationship with!) and another man I assume was the manager (have seen him there before, never in uniform). I said hello. They looked at me and literally said: "Well, what?" Ummm, what?! If you need me to repeat the situation, I will -- but "Well, what?" is highly unprofessional. I again began explaining why I was there. Somehow it turned into them chastising me for not emptying my mailbox often enough. HUH?! I seriously felt like a 13-year-old in the principal's office. While I didn't feel the need to explain a DAMN thing, I started to say (as the mailman very well knows) that my 1920s mailbox isn't exactly built for 2025 levels of mail -- especially during elections when the political junk mail is insane. Before I could even finish, the guy cut me off, saying he "wasn't gonna get into it." He told me if my mailbox is full, then the mailman should stop delivering my mail entirely and bring everything back to the post office -- that it's "not my choice" and "I don't make the rules" -- then turned around and walked away. Seriously, WTF is this man talking about and why is he so butt-hurt about my mailbox? Anyway, that was NOT even what I was there for. It was so bizarre, so rude, and so totally unhelpful. I was left standing there with the mailman, who by now was suddenly acting like the friendly guy I recognized. But at that point, I was DONE. I told him I'd be back tomorrow. Then -- get this -- he suddenly says, "Wait, I actually do have packages for you in my truck! Let me go get them!" WAIT, WHAT?! You had my packages this whole time and let that entire weird exchange happen without saying a word? I was flabbergasted. I just looked at him and said this whole situation felt like the Twilight Zone. I told him, please get ALL my mail off the truck, put it aside, and I'll be back tomorrow. GOOD DAY, SIR. Sheesh... Wish me luck. UPDATE: Returned today & there was still no mail of mine to pick up. The only redeeming factor, the wonderful & super helpful clerk, Mayzara, who was not only incredibly pleasant but went the extra mile of actually calling the mailman on her mobile to ask where my mail was. He didn't answer but it doesn't change the fact that she seems to be the ONLY person here who actually cares about customers. THANK YOU, Mayzara! That star is for you & only you :)

I have been here a few times and have a stress free visit. I tried to avoid coming during busy…read moretimes. I also try to buy my labels and just drop packages off instead of standing in line because that can take forever.
