I've come here on random weekdays for basic post office transactions, like buying stamps or sending a package, and was in and out with little to no wait. There's a small parking area on the side of the building and free street parking for up to 30 mins on either side of NE 84th St. The neighborhood has gentrified considerably, with The Citadel and various new restaurants and shops only a block away, so fear not if you happen to be in Little River and need to utilize this post office's services. read more

This review is for the look of this place and the historical aspect of it. I have not used their services, or been inside the building. Listed below is the historical element of this place, if you are interested. The Miami Beach Post Office is a historic 1937 Art Moderne U.S post office designed by Howard Lovewell Cheney and built under the patronage of the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. Cheney designed the post office with a tall circular lobby with a cone-shaped roof and a thin tall copula; a small round fountain directly beneath it and murals by Charles Hardman depicting Ponce de Leon's invasion of Florida on the wall above gold-colored post office boxes. The building features a noteworthy main entrance with double doors topped by a ten-foot high wall of glass blocks that allow natural light to fill the lobby. Just above the doorway there is a large stone eagle that dominates the entrance. Charles Hardman, a native Floridian, was commissioned to paint a mural in 1940 by the Section of Fine Arts of the Works Progress Administration. He created a three-section mural that adorns the lobby wall. The sections are entitled Discovery, and shows Ponce de Leon's arrival in Florida in 1513, de Soto and the Indians, showing Hernando de Soto and his men engaged in battle with Native Americans in 1539, and Conference, which shows General Thomas Jesup negotiating with Native Americans after the Second Seminole War in 1837. read more

This post office location never scanned the packages in their bin and claimed it was my loss, since they don't count as received by the post office they aren't scanned. I ended up having to take the loss and needing to eat the cost. Next round, I went to the window and asked for them to scan and even though they have in the past, they refused to and told me I could take a picture. Then when I did, they said it was illegal to take a picture in the postal service office and asked me to leave. I went to the post office north of this office and they scanned my packages with no problem and gave me a receipt to confirm. Seems like this office is filled with incompetent workers willing to steal packages before they are scanned, then unwilling to take ownership by scanning to show they have indeed been received by the pay office location. Be safe and take your packages elsewhere. Side note: reaching anyone via phone for this matter at the USPS was impossible. read more

She told me very rudely that she did not print receipts I told her because if I had delivered several packages they always give me proof that I had delivered the package in case it got lost I needed something a proof with some receipt she said to get me out of there that she is not going to print absolutely anything to me and then she said I am not going to give you anything, I leave it so I wait 15 min for she took the package for the window. read more

I ask the lady hey if I need to return something and I have the barcode do I box them she says yes that's what you supposed to do that's why you came here put it in a box. Stopped by on my way to work in the morning to drop off the package ready to go, label attached. Waiting in line, 2 clerks are barely moving. My turn, asking for receipt. Clerk tells me "we don't print receipts". Me: "Excuse me, why are you different than the rest of USPS?" He tells me "It's the rule. You can speak to supervisor, next window". The supervisor tells me "We don't print receipts, snap a picture of label with your phone". He obviously doesn't understand (or doesn't care) the difference - in case the package is lost, the iPhone picture is not a proof of the package being given to USPS. I ask why every other office including my local one would print the receipt and you won't? He rudely tells me - go to your local office. What a POS! Avoid this office if you can. read more

I have no complaints about this place to be honest. I frequent it quite often & I'm usually in & out. I've shipped a few packages & they've all arrived at their destination w/ no problem. The workers are not the friendliest but they're helpful so that's all I can ask for. It's close to home so it's very convenient. The place seems clean (Post Office style, lol), some envelopes & supplies need restocking at times in the lobby area but the employees provide whatever is missing outside, when needed, so, no big deal. The line to get to someone behind the glass is usually long and can take 10-15 mins, but it moves fairly fast. Overall, not too bad for the regular Post Office run. read more

I usually either come to this location or the Miami Shores one. Sometimes the lines are pretty long but I've never spent more than half an hour here as they are pretty fast. The space is large and has enough room for long lines, along with tabled areas to get your package together, including pens and paper. The parking is a little scarce, especially if it's busy, but since people are in and out you'll find parking if you wait. read more

This has been my local post office for the past seven and a half years that I have been living here in Miami. Coming from New York City, where everything is hectic, Miami was a slow pace for me a few years back. The post office has always been a challenge anywhere I've gone and anywhere I've lived across this great Earth. However the post offices in Miami, for some reason, seem to be a bit more of a challenge than anywhere else in the United States. Mail sent 12/7 and tracked until 12/9 and nothing else. Tried to work,with @USPSHelp and other avenues with no luck. promised a call that I never got. Tried to call the Postmaster at Little River Post office and no answer and no voice mail. The first service request was closed with no action, no research and no call to customer as committed. Got the service request reopened but another 72 hous was requires. Suppose to hear in 72 hours, it took 120 hours to get the "sorry we mishandled your email" not including Christmas Days off. Sent another letter Priority Mail had the label filled out by Post Office worker and confirmed the address. tracked today and it was "out for delivery" but then I got email saying the address was insufficient and they were returning to sender. 2 hours later recipient call to say "our usual mailman" came back to deliver. The clerk at this Post Office refused to accept my package because she and the manager said it was too large. I told the clerk that the package was within the size limit, as per the USPS website but she conveniently made up the excuse that the limit did not apply to this location simply because it couldn't fit through the package slot at the counter. I'm more inclined to think that she just didn't feel like going around the counter and through the employee door to receive the package... Bad service and bad management... She told me to go to the North Miami USPS on Biscayne, where they were much more helpful. I described what happened to the clerk there and she said there was no reason to decline the package given the fact that it was within the size limit. read more
